14:35 Always loved that broken up line technique of yours! That's something I'd noticed in your other works and always thought was a great way to communicate that something is being seen through some kind of liquid or haze or something. Always getting great art tips from your vids!
I use the clips on my ballpoint pens and mechanical pencils a lot. But my art pens...I usually have them in a case because THEY EXPENSIVE! Lol, I can imagine my reaction of looking down and just seeing the cap and no pen...
I loved so much this mermaid! The idea of her inside some-what an aquarium, with the ambient around her, was so appealing to me. The colors are beautiful. I want to say your art inspires me! I always saw just so much of anime and detailed drawings that I lost confidence to draw, because I started to think just about that models. But your style is simple and so "you" that I started to feel that I could just draw with simple shapes. Thank you for your videos!
Thank you for.... 1. Being alive 2. Making BEAUTIFUL art 3. Appreciating art itself 4. Making me laugh You are an amazing artist and you are so inspiring! Keep doing what you’re doing and don’t stop because if you do I’ll be sad.(please don’t make me sad :( thanks )
I use clips on pins cuz I like spiral-bound notebooks. I’ll put it in the spiral and clip it so I don’t loose it. But on fine liners I don’t really need a clip lol
Mermaids, as everyone knows are half fish, half fish. And as weird as the blob mermaids turned out, I kinda want a print of it because its just so wonderfully charming in some way. Definitely unique! So yeah, if you make a print version of it, I'll totally buy one!
I use the clips on the pens when I am going out with my sketchbook. It helps keep the pen right next to the book when I am ready to draw, i detach the pen and start drawing!! :D
Love that you're trying inks. What I really like about inks is how they mix together. When two colors meet they swirl together really cool and I love that effect.
I found these were tricky to adjust to at first, but now I love them. Your mermaid/merfish blobs were so cute. I'm so happy that you joined the Paletteful unboxing family!
@@KaseyTheGolden I also forgot to say I struggled soooo much how to explain to viewers what they felt like...I went with a sticky thick milk liquid...but your slimey explanation is so spot on! Slimey....but in a fun liquid jelly way :)
The clips on pens are really great for hooking onto the spiral of spiralbound sketchbooks. So yes I use them to keep my pens and pencils from sliding out when I take my sketchbook on the go.
Ayyy, I have those Fineliners!!! I got them last August and they've been with me through nearly three sketchbooks! I'm so happy seeing other artists use them^^
Is it because of the paper or the ink you use? i have dr.ph. martins ink , prang and ecoline brand but do not looked blotches (uneven colors ) and slimy like that, the color are very smooth and vibrant just like any liquid ink for Pen use?
It reminds me of a product we make in the Netherlands, “ecoline”. It’s just very concentrated watercolor, and often used at elementary schools, and for illustrating childrens books. Actually ecoline has a high variety of colors, not only those bright ones. Like what you made with these. Greetings from the Netherlands!
I thought this was going to work like the ecoline liquid watercolors but I guess not, the ink looks so gelly-like! I know you like your earthy watercolor shades but I would love to see you trying them, they are soooo bright and my favorite medium to work with. Loved this vid, amazing as usual 😊💕
Hi 😊 lovely video I really like using the Pebeo Colorex watercolor inks, you do need to add water to the inks I notice though in order for them to be a watercolor if that makes sense, and then the inks go a very long way 😊
It's so interesting to see how every way of drawing can look different but the same. Like, one artist might draw a hyper-realistic mermaid/fat fish, whilst the other draws a cartoon-y version, but at the end of the day, it's a mermaid/fat fish.
Hills Have Eyes: underwater mermaid edition. Jk. I think they are all very lovely. My fave is the worm-merm. Also. The pinky colored one at the top left corner, I thought you made her tail have a cat face but it was scales. Very fun!
The whole time u were lining it i was dying watching u use up so much of your fine liner ink colouring in certain parts like i just wanted to scream at u OMG U HAVE A BRUSH TIPPED PEN TOO
I love those swatch mermaids! Your style is so unique and quirky, I love it. Lots of love from the Netherlands! Oh where can we put ideas for Tokyo treat themes? Because I was thinking a bug theme. Butterflies, spiders, beetles... I think you could do lots of fun stuff with that. Okay bye!
I feel like you should try these inks on your normal paper!! Im not sure if it would change anything bc i haven't tried those specific inks/paper but it says its a vellum finish? and when ive used inks on that kind of super smooth surface before its had that "slimy" feel to it too. i like how it made the water turn out though!! also i like pen clips to store in spiral bound notebooks!!
I use normal school ink that's supposed to be for writing but i mix them with alot of water and they are super smooth and not patchy at all i think they're even better than the schmincke watercolor i have
Kasey: "I've never worked with inks!"
Inktober 2017: "Am I a joke to you?"
"This is not a mermaid. This is just a fat fish"
I feel attacked.
Love your art style~
*offended* xp
Hey i hope youre ok, i read your UA-cam bio
Sunshine Pineapple SHRIEEEEEEE
i quite like the clips on pens and liners cause they stop them from rolling on my desk
Hell, I use the clips to clip them on my shirt so I don't lose pens!

Exactly!!!!! I Absolutely love how she does the broken up line technique
I was just about to comment that lol
Oh. Hi pop cross
"Is calling a mermaid...a fish...racist...?"
Yo bro. Idk. Don't ask questions ur not supposed to.
Did u really get offended by that? Like...
Lucia ' they were kidding but alright
I read this as she said it lmao
I came to the comments looking for something like this specifically

A worm-mermaid? Do you mean a... wormaid? Ha haha...
Okay, I'm sorry xd
HA! Love it.
Your likes are in order 123 but I’m sorry I’m gonna make it 124
Magenta, Cyan, and Lemon. The true primary colors that I wasn't told about when I was in school ; -;
I actually like when pens have clips on the caps, because it helps to prevent them from rolling off the desk! 😊
P l e a s e make these gorgeous merms into stickers; i need them on my sketchbook, my wall, and in my heart
omg yesssss
EARLY
Just wanted to say.. Kasey, you're the only person who made me want to try watercolor.
Thank you for inspiring me

Same
Renza me too
Finally mermaids with a relatable body type. I feel so included :) #swatchmermaids
Am I the only one that thinks kasey just nails every medium she uses??😍
I think she's super fun to watch but the only technique she nails is her trusty watercolours x'D
“She’s got the face, she’s got the bod... love it”
I'm just spending summer vacay binge watching kasey
P.S I do do use the clips on pens to latch them onto books (I love spring loaded clips lol)
I use them for that same purpose. Clipping onto sketchbooks, paper, etc. Sometimes to little easels or art boards.
If I don't clip them to my sketchbook I lose them xD
I use the clips on my ballpoint pens and mechanical pencils a lot.
But my art pens...I usually have them in a case because THEY EXPENSIVE!
Lol, I can imagine my reaction of looking down and just seeing the cap and no pen...
Kasey: You can't make me use bright colours!
Posca Pens: Am I joke to you?
I love that her and waffles made such different illustrations
Your swatches just inspired the new power rangers series!
POWER RANGERS: MERMAID FORCE!
The last time I was this early kasey’s face was unknown
Kasey has a really unique art style and I really admire her art

Yeah I do that too. My sketchbook is also spiral bound so if I can’t carry a pencil case I’ll clip a mechanical pencil and a fine liner

You should do like a 3D square of water, like your isometric rooms....but with water lNot in anything)! I think it would be super cool!
I love how your videos are always wholesome and drama free. It’s a nice break from the routine. :) keep up to good work.
Thats from marabu... in germany and austria we have it everywhere😅 but the marabu mixmedia sketchbook is really awesome
Love that you're trying inks. What I really like about inks is how they mix together. When two colors meet they swirl together really cool and I love that effect.
Your style just blows my mind. I love it so much!!
I swear she was just at 564k and now she’s almost at 1m. I’ve loved seeing her channel grow from 60k to now
I really like the whole doodle blob for swatches, it gives a good idea on how the product works more and see the color/width.
I really enjoy how happy you are in every video and the enthusiasm you give, it always brightens up my day
I found these were tricky to adjust to at first, but now I love them. Your mermaid/merfish blobs were so cute. I'm so happy that you joined the Paletteful unboxing family!

I’m LIVING for how much content you’re putting out! It’s all so fun and quite frankly, inspiring.
2:02 Holy heck I bought some liners from Aliexpress for 75 cents each and they look just like those.
I love how the water turned out. 😍
Omg I would love to see different dog breeds as humans, that would be so cute.
love the seaweed hair!!! this was so bright and colorful!!!
Best swatch sheet ever! Very cool mermaid, nicely quirky!
I use the clips on pens/pencils to hold them in my spiral bound drawing books.
Ayyy, I have those Fineliners!!! I got them last August and they've been with me through nearly three sketchbooks! I'm so happy seeing other artists use them^^
I like it when kasey unboxes things
I like that they give you a decent amount of colors to work with instead of just one or two so you can try a lot more color combos
Is it because of the paper or the ink you use? i have dr.ph. martins ink , prang and ecoline brand but do not looked blotches (uneven colors ) and slimy like that, the color are very smooth and vibrant just like any liquid ink for Pen use?
i really like the mermaids on the swatch sheet ! they are so fun and cute
The green blob mermaid is my favourite. She looks like she has a very high waisted tail and it’s a mood

Finally finished my schoolwork! Kept this video as a treat ;)

I really like your voice, I was listening to this video while doing schoolwork and it really helps me concentrating!
The T-pose mermaid with the highwaisted tail is honestly a huge mood. Like girl same.
I couldn't stop laughing through half this video because of all the iconic dialogue and the "JESUS" edit when Kasey put the blue down
You used my black Noodler's ink for your 2017 Inktober drawings. Kasey Golden is a fake Kasey Golden fan 😤
I love the way you draw mermaids! I love that they're mostly fish but still have some human features in them
You did a great job with the inks. The pic is cute. TYFS
I don’t usually use clips on pens but I do love having them there because it keeps them from rolling off the table!!
Oh my glob I love this. I kinda wish I could try it. Also love the style of the circle thing. Gives me very good ideas keep it up kasey 😄
Honestly.. those mermaids are squad goals!
I need this as a wallpaper, those mermaids are adorable ♡
Hi 😊 lovely video

those watercolor ink things are great for dip pens, both glass and traditional nib ones. It'll make control with line art easier too.
I love the way the blue ink spread.
Pen clips are perfect for keeping the pen from rolling around

I was watching this and my Pawpaw overheard “time to destroy mermaids” and he said “What are you watching some sadist artist?!” 😂😂😂
I think the marbling effect in the water turned out really awesome
I love the swatch mermaids!! So much fun.
Kasey- I am a fan of these bright colors
Also kasey- Oh! Jesus! That is bright!
I use the clips on pens to stick then together and play with them whenever i get bored when im finished with tests and have extra time

It's generally more when I'm writing though haha
