Make a flat spot on any fruit or vegetable where stability is needed: cutting shoestring potatoes, wedging or slicing an onion, and especially hard squashes! But be really careful with these. Consider investing in a cleaver, or long scalloped cheese or bread knife to facilitate safe entry into these very hard and large gourds/squash/berries/modified berries. (All terms are correct for these botanical berries. BTW, all melons are also berries.)
Great video but you need to speak a little louder, I had to turn my computer up to 50 to hear, my whole office learned some tips and tricks today lol :)

Yes picking them out can be tricky. I have been told to look for the yellow spot that they were sitting on in a field.
I just pick the ugliest one it usually works haha.
