The thing on the neck is called a capo, it's used to take whatever tuning your guitar is in, up however many steps you want, relative to how many frets up on the neck you place it.

The thing you guys are talking about that holds the strings down is called a Capo (kay-poe I believe is how it's pronounced, but I've heard people say it differently) Awesome video guys keep it up!
