Thanks Victor, awesome rod. I'm not the tallest of guys but if you adjust your casting technique a bit even the shorter anglers can cast a mile with this rod, also doesn't make you tired fishing with this rod all day, awesome balance between sensitivity and a decent back bone 👌💪
It's never a bore Victor always nice to listen to your advise and Insite in your opinion what is your reel of choice grinder or speed reel I'm thinking of swapping or adding a grinder to my reels sick of kraai neste now lol...
Hehe nice on Henry. Yeah give it a go, definitely make fishing easier in the sense of casting, especially at night and when the wind is blowing..or when 'viskoors' takes over
Bro I got the medusa xl, eish these venom rods are too powerful, backbone is amazing. I will never move away from the venom rods. I use this xl medusa for the mainly ineds.
100% Thats why it doesn't come out with a bionic finger, some guys use it for spinning with a glove. Put 20lb on your reel and cast a 2 to 5oz lure with that rod and see where it falls
Hi, nice to view your video. I am currently looking at the Venom Cottonmouth, how is the rod for shore jigging? The guides are all 2 or 3 foot sitting? 50:50 split? Can't seem to find much about this rod online. Thanks
@@piercel.6515 Hi, not sure about the guides. Ease leave you number or send me a message on facebook(Saltaholic) and i will put you in contact with the right person. I personally like the Daimondback of all the Spinning rods, but it’s only rated 1-4oz. I had the Taipan too, but prefer the softer tip of the daimondback, the Cottonmouth is a beast of a rod for it’s size
Give it a go, its not about the length of the rod.. work on your swing. Xander from Zoolook fishing is not the tallest but he can throw a 15ft further that alot of the bigger guys
@@saltaholic5235 I think Xander is a bit taller than me. I'm 1.66m. If I try to swing with enough drop that I need the sinker will touch the sand and detach. I've tried for hours at a field. I swoped over to the 14ft and it's still a bit awkward but I do manage just about. To put in perspective I can cast a 4 ounce weight with bait just over 150m (measured not guessed) with a 12ft rod. With the 14ft it's hit and miss. Anything from 120m to 140m. With time I want to be in the 180m plus range but it won't be with a 15ft rod.

Agreed. You dont have to be the tallest to throw a 15ft..💪
awesome review. seen a few videos of the venom anaconda in some of the s.a fishing channels looks like a mint of a surf rod

My short arse will never be able to use a 15ft rod. I struggle with a 14ft. I cast a 12ft miles further than the 14.
