Great video, great job. Best part was listing to Bryant give Tom hell for letting off early all week and then seeing Steve standing there smiling and nodding!
Congrats Tom on fulfilling your high expectations. Drag & drivel is truly my favorite form of racing!! And I'd like to commend Tom for covering EVERYBODY just as if it was his own event... what a sportsman! Steve Morris is a genius! 🏆 Now on to Sick Week and a 7:00 second pass for Aydan!
We really missed seeing the 'ol Canadian fella in his 1965 GTO. As well his partner in the 1966 Fairlane. Both those cars are AWESOME and we hope they're still healthy and OK. Maybe we'll see them again,, hope so.
This is the real thing , NPK they can't drive more than 3 miles without burning the transmission or engine. This is fastest street racing car this year, Drag week best event of street racing. Congratulations and this is the result of hard work and amazing team with SM.
Burn the transmissions ? Lol. They run the same transmission as what Tom does. They just don’t run cooling systems big enough to drive them around. I’m sure if they wanted to they could.
@@goblebrotherracing5525I was gonna say the same. Its like them switching to small tire. Didn't take them long at all to dominate there! Being stinking rich helps, but they didn't start out like that... my 2 cents
It would be entertaining to see them try to run a car at three or four races without a nascar style car hauler and a crew of guys to fix it for them. NPK is about a joke. It’s basically the same few guys winning every time and everyone else is just there to make donations.
@@strangefruit8776I don't know if I would call NPK a joke, it's a reality TV show with racers having contracts that pays them, I think it's good that they bring eyes to the sport and gives a limited number of racers the funds to go fast. What I think is a joke is their safety team, I'm afraid someone is going to get injured badly or killed.
"Chicken foot Tom"... lol Steve is such a genuinely nice guy with a great attitude. Congratulations on the win and keeping the bottom end together with those well seasoned rod bolts.
I’m impressed! You ran 6s all week. Maybe could have run faster, but you didn’t beat the crap out of the car and made it through. I’ve always liked Sick 1.0 a little better than Sick 2.0. Glad to see it back out.
Cudo's to Briant Goldstone and his buddy Ryan in the '73 Javelin,, considering the car was a TOTAL 2 years ago,, most of us would have tossed the towel,, but not Briant. He poured his wallet, his time and his devotion into that car and runs a 6:46 this year and finishes yet another D&D event,, YES!!
Congratulations !!! The quality of the drag and drive series of video's is top notch . Safety first no major injury's / accidents respect for everyone taking part in drag and drive .
Congratulations!... That's a huge testament to Steve's engine building ability... that's a big block Chevy, not an SMX. And also goes to show you how much more power you have to make to go just a little bit faster... mind blowing
Great job by Tom and Steve, I live close to Rockingham and when I learned you guys were coming to the closest drag strip near me I had to come and see for myself. Sorry, I missed your stop in Southern Pines for the photo stop.
Thanks for the drag racing holiday guys….you don’t know how much this means to those of us that can’t but we are lucky that all the contestants whether a 12 second car or a 6 second car gave us a great show
Nice run !! .....9:50 Tires look like running a bit Low inflation.....Just Outside tread puttin down Rubber.......Probably had a potential 6:50 run going.......
Congratulations Tom and Steve. As a fan of your work, I would love if this car was available to play in other video games or PC games and had all the features such as opening the hood, showing the interior and controls. You always deserve the best.👏👏
Congratulations on another win! It’s so great to see the sick 1.0 car out there again and running strong. Great week Tom and Steve now go home and get sick 2.0 ready! I can’t wait to see it for sick week.
Congrats on number 6 Tom and Steve. Thanks for the great coverage you provided all week. I like how the sign said to sign the hood of the car at the end...Steve signs the fender! LOL
Hell yeah men, congrats…thanks for sharing the journey with us, some of my favorite content. Props to the editor or editing team, very well done. Steve Morris power and tuning in Toms chassis is a killer combo 🤘🏼
Congrats Tom. Another guitar for the collection! Most impressive performance this week IMO was the convertible Fox mustang running in the 6’s with stock style suspension and on a 275 radial. To do that on a non full out radial prepped surface is really impressive. Oh, and Goldstone giving you s… for letting off early on most every run was classic. I could tell Steve loved it.
I live about 30 minutes from Aiken SC where they ran at the house of hook. I got to see a lot of these guys come through town. What an experience for sure, such awesome cars with even cooler guys.
First off, Congratulations! Tom, Steve and everyone involved. A well deserved win, that's for certain. What an excellent video! Perfectly put together, almost looks like a professional production 😂. I mean it is (anyways) Good to see you guys make it through! Keep up the hard work!, so we can enjoy watching it of course!
That Mustang that brushed the wall looks spooky down track when it starts rocking side to side that's definitely some kind of a handling issue that needs looking it to.
It might be fun to see a 8.50 bracket with those guys trying so hard not to break out. Congratulations on finishing another event for all the competitors
I knew buying the 1.0 shirt at Woodward who help you win 😄😄😄😄. Actually it was awesome watching your videos all week. Some day I'll get to see you on the track
Excellent excellent work guys!!!!! Got a fuel incredible after how difficult things have been for 2.0 and such lately, but that’s what the sport is about!! While it gives the highest of highs and lows of lows, the people, the camaraderie, the not getting up when you want to give up and yeah, I can go on and on..lol The stuff that you’re doing for non-for profit, awareness, helping grow the spore and get people out of their rooms, so to speak and involved with hands-on stuff and actually living life. Another aspect of why I love this or what being involved with it from the most basic stuff to the pro likely always be some of the greatest experiences I’ve ever had, and the most fulfilling and inspiring to all aspects of who I am!! Getting off topic but really happy to see you guys win this thing !!!
Awesome 👏 unreal how well performance and durability has been achieved!!! Congratulations!! 😊 hellbilly deluxe also had the same issues on the 468 big block. Old school rocker nut kept backing out of the #2 exhaust. Dropping the pan and ripping out the intake got annoying after the 2nd time .. yellow torch.. smaller head socket.. hammered down and hit it with a couple heat cycles. So far so good … Leaks like Hoover dam.. but it’s a CHEVY.. lol 😅
Guys, Congratulations to both of you!!! Steve, On the Blue Viper with SMX Power, why didn't the burst panel blow out, instead of launching the top portion of the intake manifold? Tom maybe you can run this past Steve?
In the way back to SC from MD i seen s few cars . Then the next day i was working in Nc got to see them come through the mountains on the ride homr. I was looking for Tom and Steve never saw them but a buddy did get to see them took some pictures while in traffic.
Great video, great job. Best part was listing to Bryant give Tom hell for letting off early all week and then seeing Steve standing there smiling and nodding!
Called being smart!
@@gbsgarage- Tom “chicken foot” Bailey. 😉
And he still won..🐔

The cars are built for different purposes. It’s kinda apples an oranges don’t ya think

"Come sign my hood" Steve Morris signs the whole fender! 🤣
Tom, the key to 1.0's success is... stop chicken footing! bawk bawk 🐔 Congrats!
Hearing Steve Morris hand the guys in the Viper all those CUDO's,, that's sportsmanship personified.
That guy runs his engine.

Congrats Tom and Steve, to everyone that finished and to everyone who didn’t! You’ve all rejuvenated drag race racing in America!

Very well done tom and Steve, that was an awesome achievement!!
Why ,did i not see much of Clark Car? How did he do🤠

Great Job! Proved your point. Now sell it and start on 3.0!
The blue mustang has been a ticking time bomb all week in my opinion. The handle and suspension are sketchy. But he finished so respect sir.
So sketchy
Yep, that thing was wobbling like crazy on the 7.90 pass. Something's not right with that thing.

I had no doubt that you would do this, congrats man
Awesome Duo!!!!! Great job. Congratulations!!!
Congratulations Tom ! AGAIN ..❤
Congratulations Tom. Steve you two make a hellva team.
Well done fellas , a lot of hard work . Steve wouldn't happen to be a shredder as another of his many skills ?
Tom, You and Steve make for some GREAT Videos!!! Congratulations!!!

Great job to everyone that finished the week!
