@@Jamez64 I'm seriously considering it. Probably this coming paycheck. I'm probably gonna eventually put on a proline gladiator body, painted dark green/gray.
What I did was use Traxxas trx4 springs with Traxxas style preload spacers on the stock gen 7 shock. I found a spring rate that I liked for the front and rear and it's the best setup for my rig.
Great video I have the same truck but have issues with the torque truck rides side wys tried different shocks and still doing the same thing will try gen 7 shocks
So what you did was modify a gen 7 pro into a gen 7 sport? Lol jk good video though man. Just looking for ideas for my pro.. I went with the pro for the wheel wells mainly. Thought it would be nice to keep the internals a bit cleaner. First thing I noticed on this truck was the servo, and I'm totally new to the hobby. It's serviceable but I think I may be upgrading it.
The combination of the accessories on the top and the skeleton frame inside the body and the short stroke of the shocks and the stiff shocks that are stock. So by removing the accessories and softening up the suspension that lowered the center of gravity with the body it made the truck a lot more stable. That’s just my opinion . Thanks for watching and keep RCin man 😎🤙
I'll admit it you know the tire thing it's true but the pro is meant to be a really scale truck it's supposed to have only accessories so it looks like a real car it's going to weigh more
Great video. Considering this as my first crawler.
Do it. You wont be disappointed.

I am going to try keeping the full metal shock on and just swapping over the springs 👍
That may work ! I know that the axial Capra has the same problem and that’s how they fixed it. Thanks for watching! And keep RCin man.
@@bigdog2722 can you please elaborate on this? We have both, Gen7 Pro and Gen7 Sport.

I don't know if you mentioned the portal axle upgrade for the gen 7 pro but i just purchased them and im soo excited
Best upgrade for the Gen 7 is to install the Redcat V2 portal axle kit for the Gen 7. Night and day difference in performance.
Great video, thanks!

Where did you find the steel horn for the steering servo? Looked online and had no luck finding the right size
How long are the suspension top to bottom for the stock ones?
but having the holes covered does trap air and makes them bounce
No more bounce than they already had
Where do u find tools to take off all the little bolts?
At your local RC shop and most Allen key sets have small keys like from 1mm to 5 mm and small wrenches too
All ya gotta do is boil the foams for 60 seconds ..
Any idea where I can find more info on this. I don't wanna mess up and just boil my foams and screw something up. New to this. Brand new Gen 7 pro
Yes did same on mine just ran under hot water
Sounds like I’ll be going with the sport instead of the pro
The sport has a bunch of plastic pieces
Good choice. Slap on the portal axle kit and you've got a crawl beast.

You can use a longer servo horn and put the rod on the back side of the servo horn
Hey guys want to get more speed from my crawler. What gears would you recommend. Thanks
Just put a brushless system in it.
My tire is wobbling. What could have been the problem? Can you help me on what should I do? Thanks in advance.
You may have a bent axle
Re-seat your tires on the bead locks. Every now and then I dont seat one 100% and it wobbles.
No offense but how dose the stuff in top make it too heavy it weighs next to nothing

I’ll take that bet my pro is a beast
same my shocks are better than his cause mine can take a fist and a half on the shocks
Just spend like 200 on all the upgrades and it’ll be fine
Get a scx10 ii
My boy has the axial Jeep Cherokee it a nice truck . Thanks for watchin and keep RCin man 😎🤙
Yeah ofc bro
Nah get a Element RC Enduro instead.
