All the memories of my friend are tucked safe in my heart forever. dancing and singing breaks my heart because i know he is not here anymore my mind understands but my heart never will, i saw him a few weeks before he passed we had a short conversation which i will never share again because people are so nasty and comment hurtful heart breaking things they do not know me but they still can't keep their mouths closed about things they know nothing about. I live 50 miles from where Elvis was born in Tupelo. He lived poverty..... And he never forgot where he came from ...... Such a horrible ending for a man that accomplished so much and gave so much to others. One of the most generous men to ever walk this earth.
"Before you abuse, criticize, and accuse, walk a mile in my shoes." That pretty much sums it up. So glad you are putting this idea out there, Jamel. Thank you..
I feel your heart and agree with your message. If we can just be humble and kind the world would be a better place. Elvis with all his success was a giving and kind human!
Elvis was my idol when I was growing up & he was a true role model. I know that “towards the end” he kind of fell off the rails somewhat but lord almighty... When he stood onstage & had the spotlight focused squarely on him, he COMMANDED attention & more often than not, got it. Sure, he had his share of “haters” (don’t we all?), but for those who will always love & idolise him & his music, he will forever be the 1 & only KING ✊️👑... LONG LIVE THE KING!!! 👑👑👑
@@jatteam8615 I went for the first time in 2004. And I cried so much at his grave. I've Loved Elvis since I was 7 I am now 51. I was seven when he passed away.
That's a very sad statement if your human you cant NOT know what everyone is going through. The problem isn't not knowing its not giving a damn. If you truly care about anyone else ask them what the problem is and then stick around to hear the answer most give lip service and pretend to care because it makes them look good in the eyes of the world but in reality they dont really care and they dont really want to hear it.... so the world goes to shit and people really have the nerve to ask why well that's just bull shit and everyone knows its bull shit too but nobody says anything because everyone's doing the same thing and no one wants to be shown as a shallow a hole so they never expose anyone else who's doing it either. This is why we are where we are and exactly why we will never be anything more or better then we are right now and that's a vary sad thing for the whole of humanity were a sorry lot we are aren't we. It makes us all want to throw the covers over our heads and pray we die in our sleep... or is that just me?
Elvis was the most amazing human on this planet. He was humble, kind, generous, giving and treated everyone with love and respect. Definitely the most beautiful man, inside and out, to ever walk this earth.
I grew up 60 miles from Memphis. Elvis grew up dirt poor and made it. He and 90% of us didn't see color, we worked together and always helped when someone was in need.
"Elvis had the biggest heart of anyone I've ever known. He was both generous and compassionate, and his love for people was tremendous." - Marian Cocke, Elvis' private nurse.
I was lucky to see Elvis in August of 1971 at the International Hotel in Las Vegas. In August of 1977 my wife was in Hawaii when Elvis passed away. The Hawaiians loved Elvis. My wife says it was a sad time in Hawaii. you would have thought everybody in Hawaii lost a family member.
I read somewhere that Elvis hated being called King (of RnR) because there is only ONE King. He was a spiritual man. And he saw humans for who they are color was never a issue.

I got to see Elvis in 1976, he was even better in person, if you can imagine that! He was sick looking and overweight but when he opened his mouth to sing there was no mistaking what a genius he was, my Mom used to watch him play basketball at the YWCA in Memphis back in about 1955, she didn’t care for him because she was just a young girl (17) who grew up on a farm in Arkansas during the Great Depression. He had a reputation for being “different” because he sang and danced like a black man and drove all the white girls crazy and that scared the conservative parents of the 50s, she’s 83 now and I’m enjoying her stories from her youth more and more. You’re a good decent and kind man Jamal, we could use a few more like you.
