Just brilliant! For all the complaining that all the photography community was making, all it took was one company to improve upon an already amazing camera. Thanks SmallRig and David for highlighting this
Nice that it does not block the Sony hotshot either so if you had a very low profile hotshoe accessory, you could mount it and two other accessories! Well done SmallRig and great review David.
Small rig also has a nice rig for the A6500 that goes around the entire camera, but since I do a lot of hiking, my hunch is that this will save me some weight on my hikes, but still give me what I need verses the slightly more heavier all around cage. Anyone have some thoughts on this?
You have the camera AND the bracket RIGHT THERE with you. Why don't you show it instead of showing PICTURES? The unit you have and the camera are too far away and out of focus! Cannot see how much it covers buttons. Where this is handy is it provides the cold shoes AND maintains access to the hot shoe. Use it with a wireless transmitter to remote flashes and have a red/green dot sight on the left shoe when using a SEL200600 lens. I have the small adapter which puts a cold shoe on the left, but it takes up the hot shoe. Thanks! Once again, YOU are in perfect focus but the subject is NOT!
Thanks David. I look for a new post from you every morning. This looks like it can put some of the critics of the A6400 to rest.
It is a great solution

fantastic.. great company smallrig
Thanks
Thanks. What about the strap? Is possible to add it without removing the cold shoe?
I think the strap can be added to the shoulder strap slot on the smallrig mount.
could you please drop a link for the light the additional cold shoe or hotshoe adapator for the light? please!!!
nice review, I like that it allows you to attach your camera strap as well.
Thanks
Small rig has great equipment and at good prices , I bought the body extension for the A9 👍
Yes they are great
Ha, I suggested this when I saw the first adapter but others poo pooed the idea. Great stuff small rig
It is a great idea.
Do you think the bracket would cover the C1 and C2 if used on the a6500?
I’m not sure as I don’t have that camera
Does it have any movement or is it really firm? If I attach a strap could I trust it with the weight of camera and lens?
It is screwed into the camera but I would not trust it with a very heavy lens
Excellent review and video thank you your friend ''CHRIS THE HOBBY GUY''
Thanks so much
