Hi Shelby, have you guys had Cowboy checked by a Vet recently? Given that he ran away, has gotten sick & your fam travels alot, it could be anxiety or something else. Please check.🥰 There are also "calming" treats for dogs & maybe you can bring his bed & toys when he's at your place❣️
One of my dogs gets really motion sick, so our vet prescribed Cerenia for car rides, and now she doesn't vomit in the car.

One thing people don’t talk about when getting a dog is the surprise issues that can pop up! I’ve got my dog as a puppy and have had her a year now. She’s a rough collie (which is like a bigger sheltie if you don’t know). In this year I’ve found she has car sickness (like poor Cow!), and insane allergies we are still working through. She itches until she bleeds sometimes and it’s horrible! She’s also had 2 emergency surgeries (through no one’s fault). Needless to say, you never quite know what you’ll be getting into when you get a puppy, but I wouldn’t trade her for the world. She’s the sweetest girl and provides endless love!
I hope everything is okay with Cow. Sounds like he could be experiencing some anxiety (possibly from moving from house to house so often?) with the barking while you’re gone, and running away from Monica’s friends. Could be the constant change in environment stresses him out. But of course no one knows truly what he’s like besides the people that surround him in real life :) thanks for sharing with us Shelby!
My sister's husky had allergies like that too, where she itched until she bled and ended up with big bald patches, was so awful :( She didn't have it until she was three, when they moved house. She switched her to a different diet and seems to be much better now (took about a year). She's also had badder stones and surgeries for that - dogs definitely can get expensive and have unexpected issues, but I guess when you love them so much it's all worth it.

As someone with a dog, there are SO many expenses. I'm a vet student and frankly I just see a huge variety of things with dogs. My dog has destroyed so many beds and toys; it sucks but yeah i know it's his anxiety. Honestly sounds like poor cow has anxiety :( It really fits with it. Some dogs just prefer to be with their main person most of the time as opposed to going back and forth between people, even if they like them. I've seen it between couples that break up and have shared custody of the dog. If he's bored you could try puzzle games too!
You could get meds for the car sickness though! And some dogs need medications to manage anxiety. I had to do that and now my dog can be left alone without barking.
PS, totally agree, having dogs are a lot. I've gotten used to all the work since it's been 1 yr+ but it was super overwhelming at first! It also severely limits flexibility frankly- I can't say yes to last min trips constantly or travel as much as I'd like.
Totally feel you on the only doing what you can control! That what I tell myself too. You're super financially responsible and not all years are gonna be the same. I tell myself to trust it will work out :)
Pro tip for avocados, squeeze it & if it’s hard it’s not ready. If you find one you think is ready, flick the brown circle off of it & if it’s green it’s not ready. If it’s brown it’s ready. Too brown is too ready…. Etc. if it is difficult to flick it off it’s not ready. If it’s easy to flick off & lightish brown it’s perfect

Yeah sounds like he might be kind of anxious. Dogs are such creatures of habit and it seems like his routine is always changing - might be stressing him out.
Monica will probably do nothing about it. They're already getting another dog for some reason so he'll probably be even more stressed
@jj thats sad. Dogs, especially anxious dogs, need a stable routine. Adding a third dog could make it worse for him.
To reduce the guesswork in determining the short, very specific window of avocado ripeness, I just buy the hard, green ones so I always have them on hand. Put them in a brown paper bag with a couple tablespoons of all-purpose flour. Close the bag and give it a shakey, shakey and leave it on the counter. Check it in a couple of days and the avos will have magically ripened.
I don't have anything in regards to throwing up in the car, but as for the poop in the dog hair, for long haired dogs, make sure to trim his long hair's around the area.

No, I don't think so not since the end of December. I noticed the audio was being cut too early in some spots, and there were spelling mistakes, so I think Shelby took over editing.

I think you're missing a nice little plant on your media cabinet. Something like String of peas, or something really easy like a good succulent.
Nice to see the outdoor shots of Seattle. Makeup game looks good. Since you say you like sneakers, I still think you should buy all black sneakers to wear out to places. Including black heels. Looks more upscale than just white.

Another great vlog! Dogs do literally become your child. It’s like with human kids, other peoples kids can gross you out but when it’s yours all the gross stuff eventually doesn’t gross you out because you love them so much. It is a lot of work but fun at the same time.
Cow is so adorable he’s a little firecracker that boy such a sweetie! I could actually see you getting a Sheltie, or a Mini Aussie I think would be a good fit for you! Since you travel a lot smaller dogs are a great option, and with Delta I don’t think there is a weight limit just a size limit with pet carriers. Something to consider if you make the decision to get a pup in the future. I look forward to your next vlog! 😊 Also maybe a video idea? Best pet friendly airlines 🤔

I noticed you hook his leash under his chest, I had that part on the back of mine.. and therefore the leash isn't under their face? Is that an option on his harness. Sorry love all things Cow. @@macmovieman1 yes very close. I have a Siberian cat. Only difference is she doesn’t go out for a walk everyday. Cats need love, affection and caring as well and you still pick up their poop. They are not low effort but it’s worth it.

If you close all your doors you have better control over the temperature. With your space heater, you should close while the heater is running. It heats the room a lot faster. It would be like if you have an AC and close all the doors for all the rooms will get cooler faster. Picture like your food wouldn't get frozen if you left the door open on your freezer.
I live in Joshua Tree. I get city water. no well needed. I live down sunfair road off of 29 palms highway. 1 block away from the Joshua Tree animal shelter.

I have heard that some people and animal are more prone to car sickness while riding in a Telsa because the acceleration/torque is instant in EV's.
Gas cars acceleration is more gradual and has to build up because it is not instant torque. Just a thought why Cow might be more susceptible when driving with you.
You want a dog, meanwhile Monica is going to have three LOL. What happens when they go away on holiday?

In France and some other European countries we have a supermarket called ALDI (it's of German origin). In Aldi you can find some products of Trader Joes and I didn't know why until I googled Wikipedia. In fact in 1980s ALDI bought Trader Joes off the original owner. Aldi has some of the lowest prices for supermarket products.
Some US cities have ALDI as well.
Did you guys use a permit expeditor? I work in commercial real estate and CA definitely has taken longer than all other states on permits
You earn well and are very spending conscious overall, so enjoy your money, get new experiences and don't stress so much about it. Time is the only resource that is really finite and you'll never get back.

As a person who has studied Nutrition, I have to say that you eat pretty well. If you want to boost your protein intake and get lots more nutrients I would suggest you purchase pasture raised eggs.

Yes dogs can be difficult (i've had 3 in my 35 years of life) BUT i would assume that kids are more difficult to care for/have random incidents happen etc. 😂 🤷♀

I love dogs (and all animals) but it's so much easier having a cat. You can leave them during the day and they just sleep and you don't have to worry about them barking or whatever. Also a lot cleaner as they bury them own poop! I'd be worried having a dog that they'd miss me too much when I'm on holidays too. Cats love us but they're just like oh you again haha

Random twin question for you. Does Cow ever get you and Monica mixed up? If not do. you think it's because he knows you both so well, or do dogs have better perception of humans than a random human would? I have to say that sometime I have to look at the channel name to be sure who it is I am watching ;-)
well they look completely different (not identical) and people smell different, have different voices. So no basically lol. I have never gotten them confused so always find these comments weird
