I've made yet another Mk6 Power Sword and it might be my final one ever for Melee-focused Vet Builds. I can afford to only run +Unyielding for damage thanks to talents providing enough base melee damage that this weapon can still 2 shot Crushers with its push attack combo without Carapace bonuses or Slaughterer stacks.
Normally I would run Weapons Specialist to make the most of the Revolver for the non-melee nuisances that show up in this particular Maelstrom condition but I wanted to fool around so I dropped the Keystone for more grenade talents.

The stab-overhead power sword combo is very satisfying. GG.
I run a similar vet class with a little more invested into the grenadier role: Krak grenades, Grenade Tinkerer (more damage), Demo Stockpile (timed grenade recharge), Demo Team (chance to earn grenade on elite kill), and Grenadier (+1 grenade capacity). Grenadier vet builds are a ton of fun and a great way to clear bulwarks when running kraks. The Mk. VI power sword is a strong pairing, as your video shows.
Geez, I had no idea a power sword could do that.

Is this the better of the two revolvers?
Preference. Zarona hits harder, has infinite non-armored cleave, and can aim down sight.
Agripinna can only hip fire, shoots faster, its bullets won't penetrate for cleave, but you have a speedloader and a larger ammo supply.
I have a grenadier build with grenadier demo team and field improv ive been running and its a ton of fun but it seems like at times the krak grenade is inconsistent due to terrain or pathing. Ive thrown it at crushers in my face for it to go off behind or how about at 4 bulwarks swarming an ogryn and only got a single kill lol
Well the last bit makes sense, it only does one attack with D6 wounds. So it’ll only hit one opponent in a unit xD
@@GrasshopperKelly grenadier expands the radius and the damage and should give more double kills but its inconsistent. He was trapped in a corner with 4 bulwarks on him and it only killed one. Also you can throw it at a boss and it just misses somehow sometimes.

i just dont get why its so necessary to install all these mods to be "good" just get actually good and do it without all these mods... simple..
@@DEATHbyDECIBEL I’d agree if it weren’t for how all the mods I have are quality of life mods. What mod in particular would somehow magically print skill here?
No amount of mods (of the types that the modding community and Fatshark themselves allow) will help with learning your own situational awareness or learning how to min max melee greeding before dodging at the last moment, or how to prioritize targets when the AI director throws everything at you. Even some of the more debatable ones that I don’t run such as Spidey sense are more quality of life for hard of hearing type of players than true cheats.

@@DEATHbyDECIBEL that's some odd sort of gatekeeping for something that Fatshark themselves have allowed. I don't see how it's so alien to see how much HP/toughness your friends have exactly when the game itself already gives you bars. Besides, there's no mods in the private playtest and that doesn't change how I play, just how I process information.
