Very unique weapon now. I think chain weapons still need some tweak - i think some armour types should have a faster shredder attack interval. For example the shredder ticks should come out faster on unarmoured enemies. This would make the kill stealing issue less frequent.
One thing I find interesting about chain axe is that both it's mobility and defence stats influence each the sprint speed and the sprint cost of using the weapon. It also has +4 stamina (and even rev it up blessing) so it just seems so reliable for mobility.
@@Lyjacxz it's a tricky game, having trouble initially is perfectly normal. chainaxe lights lock both you and a target in a brief duel, and, if you have a good enough axe, oneshot everyone. they are best used when you have no more than ~2 dudes around you in any moment. if there's more of them, use heavies and pushattacks. if you look closely at the video, you can see that in practice. heavies vs the horde, when it's cut down to a trickle - lights to finish them off quickly and safely.
@@zuthuzu Thanks im still having a bit of a problem with chaining the heavy attack combo sometimes it doesn't connect and it just stop me in place idk why. i need to practice more
I have the mk4 with two tier 4 perks, One is shred. the other is + brittleness on hit. I literally do not use the special because the lights are so powerful. You can 6 light a damnation crusher with the right build. Reapers, bullwarks, maulers, and ragers all die in 3-4 light attacks. I face tanked a daemonhost on heresy because of how much damage this thing stacks up. The brittleness just adds to the damage your teammates can do. This weapon does take some dodge-skill to use because it is brutally single target for the lights. It almost NEVER hits a second enemy with one swing. On the plus side, you can blender through 5 ragers in about 6 seconds. Edit: The only thing stronger might be a bleed dagger build with a rending perk. (Rending allows for proper bleed stacking on crushers)
I bow before you chocoB , been watching you for years basicaly. Never stop to impress me dude. However, when I play zealot and go for ULT (fury of the faithfull) it feels like Im covering not even half the distance you are , with the initial speed boost the ULT provides. Am I missing something ? How the hell do you do that Choco ?! ...
Its not super clear, but charge is actually a targetable ability. You can test this by holding down your ult key and scanning some enemies without releasing the button. You should see a faint yellow highlight around the enemy currently being targetted. If you ult without any target, you'll go a shorter distance (like 8 meters?) but if something is targetted when activating, it can go all the way to 21 meters.

Does the chainaxe perform as good for veteran? I've been struggling to find an anti-mutant/carapace melee, so far MK3/7 shovels are decent, but their mobility is average (and the chainaxe special+bleed is pretty fast compared to the shovel's+thrust)...
Get the new shovel with thrust. Forgot the version but it’s the blue one with the special attack that pushes the shovel down to prime it. The one where the heavy attack is an overhead. That one with thrust, carapace and unyielding can one shot everything in the game that’s not a boss. It’s especially good against mutants and crushers. Ran a melee scab faction only auric damnation maelstrom and finished the game with 267 melee elites killed. Also shovel has great mobility since it has defense and mobility as a modifier. So reduced cost of sprint sprint duration and extra dodge distance and dodge count
The Zealot has way better melee buffs and can utilise melee weapon specs better in general compared to the Veteran's melee buffs. It's not a fair comparison. Try Antax MK V axe with Brutal Momentum. Cleaves through all trash with headshots and is good against armour.
@@lancepage1914 veteran has good melee buffs that utilizes certain melee weapons better. Such as single target high damage weapons. Zealots skill tree tends to benefit more with high cleave high armor damage weapons. Example for zealot: “increase damage per enemy hit in swing by 5%”, “increased damage on repeated hit 5% stacking up to 5 times” These are all cleave buffs Then there’s the crit chance bonuses and perks which benefit from high cleave and high attack speed weapons. Aside from the ults, there isn’t much in the zealot tree that straight up buffs melee damage without any conditions except maybe purge the unclean which is unyielding damage buff. even with wounds you need to drop to low health and run that risk Example on veteran: increased damage to elites by 15%, increase damage to ogryn type enemies by 25%, increased weak spot damage by 30% (zealot has this but only on successful dodge), increased rending by 10%, small % chance to buff melee impact and base damage by 20% if any enemy dies in coherency The difference between the zealot ult and the veteran ult is: the veteran ults have red and orange passives which buff your base damage and weakspot damage for 5-10 seconds after your ult. On the zealot it only buffs your damage for one swing, while the veteran buffs it’s melee damage for every swing past 5-10 seconds. I ran a combat knife build on both the zealot and veteran and I find that my oneshot breakpoints and overall elite killing power was better on the knife with veteran. I also compared the shovel on the ogryn and the shovel on the veteran with auric maelstrom melee scab faction only and I found that the veteran can one shot crushers and scab maulers faster, even though it can’t cleave like the ogryn, TL;DR: veteran has better melee bonuses for most melee weapons than zealot. Zealot has good melee bonuses for crit weapons and high cleave weapons. I finished a maelstrom scab melee only mission melee only veteran with a shovel with 268 melee elites killed and my veteran could never do that, only my ogryn came close at 240 on average
Love your video for pure solo play, but i would'nt trade the master retribution for invocation of death just because it repells dogs when you are suprised . Pious cut throath give you a faster recover on ultimate so you dont need two fury. Blood redemption triggers more often than second wing.
After comparing this to your previous video, the Voidstrike Psyker, I'm having a hard time understanding how people don't see how underpowered the Psyker class is to the others.
Psyker is pretty good if you grab sciers gaze/assail with the bottom left keystone. Pair it with a ilisis blaze force sword with uncanny strike and a revolver with hand cannon and it runs pretty well on damnation auric high shock. If you played vermintide it basically plays like the unchained class, high damage risk to reward and highly tanky
