Can't believe I'm looking at minivans lol
Forreal..... 😂
I always loved how much utility minivans have, the amount of storage, cabin space, how they handle like a sedan, the luxury appointments you can only otherwise get in a hyper luxury vehicle like self closing doors, window shades, the double pane glass. I’m still blown away that it has a vacuum cleaner.
Really like that night and day time mixed up editing ~ great detailed review as always~!!!
Probably one of the best car reviews I’ve seen in a really long time 👍
I just watched a mini van review. Only because of you, Forrest. Your Sonata review helped me pick that car, so I watch all of your stuff all the way through.
Thanks so much John! I really appreciate your support!!
Awesome review Forrest, best review of an Odyssey, hands down. Subscribed to your channel, based off of this review. Excellent work.
I love your review. I love how you insert night images showing off the lights. I wish more people did that
I have 2022 pilot. The engine is just so lovely. You’d never expect that from a minivan
My grandma used to have one of these, and it was infact a really nice van and was really comfortable in road trips
Very well done review! Just took delivery of our 5th Odyssey. Curious, our 2021 Touring does not have a vacuum (no biggie) and we were told discontinued for 2021 due to supplier issue. Was your review done on an early release Elite?
Your review is really clear and detailed! Thumb up!
So, I own a 2019 Odyssey and a 2018 Type-R. It is a tossup on what keys I take when I am running out for groceries if that gives you any idea how much I like the Odyssey. This is a great review! I will end up sharing this video with people when someone asks me what family vehicle they should get.
Great review and demo. I love the night shots and actually using & explaining features like the HondaVac. 👍👍
Whoa! Never would I have thought THE HONDAPRO JASON would stop by one of my videos! Love your work and thanks for watching man! 😃👍
Another Solid review. Thanks Forrest.
Very clear , easy to understand video - loved it ❤️ 👍🏻great job
Awesome review once again. I love your reviews. I am looking for a minivan and Sienna and Kia are also on my list to check out. Will pick one before EOY.
You have a very nice smooth voice for reviewing cars mate... I was pleasantly surprised it was you Forrest when I was just listening to this video at first and when I finally looked at who is presenting, I was like: oh yeah... Another great review Forrest, I consider you to be among the greats like Savageese, Micah, the two Canadian couples Straight Pipes and Throttle House
Great review, Forrest! Best one of the Odyssey so far.
I also wanted to say... that apparently, it's the moms who don't want minivans! According to some automotive research, dads don't care about the "image" and appreciate the utility... moms don't want to be seen as "soccer moms" or whatever 🤣
Summed up perfectly
That was an excellent review. Very thorough. Subscribed and Liked. Is there a spare tire and tools? Thanks.
Hey Forrest! Good review as always.
You and TheTopher uploaded a review on the same vehicle on the same day! Gotta love it
I loved the sport mode! Please add such part in other reviews too:!
Always enjoy your reviews good work.
I never thought I would see the day when a man enjoys driving a mini-van. A mini-van with a sport setting! Having said all this, it was a great review.
Thank you so much. Made my decision earlier. Great vid and Honda looks wonderful.
Love the night lighting shots even if short.
Honda has another winner in this Odyssey. Great review Forrest. Having a vacuum in the car is very convenient.
Sushil narain same as the sienna! The sienna has a stove, vacuum, refrigerator! The vacuum is 10 meters long
@@obl1xif_y981 minivans are basically houses on wheels these days man.
@@sushilnarain2273 yeah true. But it depends which model on which brand.
@@sushilnarain2273 like imagine having a minivan with just seats, no radios no nothing just seats in the interior and everything else is just plastic
I have a 4Runner TRD pro, but I watched the entire video on a mini van lol! I’ve said it before, your reviews/walkthroughs are seriously one of the most underrated on UA-cam. Keep up the great work man!
Wish my car had those amazing 2nd and 3rd row seats...an not going to lie, the vacuum lol.
My other dream car.
I had one in the past. I got a 16 foot ladder and full sheet of plywood (4'x8') inside with back seats flat and 2nd row removed on different occasions. Also, when I told the kids "don't make me come back there" you could pull over and walk to the 3rd row from the driver's seat.
Nice review Herb Dean!
Beautiful review. Thanks.
Thanks for putting the night clip videos showing the illumination lights
Awesome review...now I am tempted to get a minivan!!
Great review! Never understood why people in general are so scared to be seen or own a mini van. Seriously....makes no damn sense!! This van is good looking and way nicer/cheaper than a $60-70,000 Tahoe or Suburban. Which I love the Suburban. But seriously at $49,000 what a Damn bargain. Way more practical than a SUV. People are so Scared of what others might Think!! (Ridiculous). Me personally I’m not Scared to say I love the Mini van. Be smart...not scared & love the mini van
I totally agree
great video as always!
Wow, that car sweet bro. Well presented to thanks brother.
Hey brother Great review, I still can't give up on the 2021 Toyota Sienna.
Omg what a review,we don't have this odyssey in Australia yet I think it's coming next year ,we still have the old model with the awesome front on it ,
Can you do a full review on the new Kia people mover please ,this model, hits Australia next year and it going to be a huge seller
Good job mate
Awesome review 👍 awesome minivan
I love Honda’s signature C-Shaped or “Lobster Claw” “Stapler” style taillights and their led daytime running light design. From the Civic, Accord to CRV to the Odyssey they all look related in a sense.
love the review (not rushed, covered detail well, no too techy). feels like you are the next daddy Doug. lol
Another great review !
Very nice review thanks
I’ve owned a 2006 and a 2012 Odyssey, when our kids were young. It was a fantastic vehicle, but I did like the ‘06 better from a looks and comfort perspective. When we moved up north, we switched to the Pilot for its AWD. An Odyssey AWD would be a better utility vehicle, hands down.
What does a pilot do better than an Odyssey?
@@GPG7754 the Odyssey is not available with AWD. I’d also have to say the Pilot tows better having towed with both.
I like the night shots!
Also yeah that carpet is nice. AND you can play your Playstation in here???? Wow kids got it good these days man
We just bought one last Saturday! It's great so far
I agree with you on this review. I have always have an odyssey in my driveway, despite my track toys
Damn I like you brother, this is a great review. Thanks 💯
It is practical. Great review!
Very much like your review. Nice job.
This was really helpful...you sold me on the Odyssey! Thank you!
Great review man, too bad it hasn’t arrived in New Zealand yet...
Just got the ‘21 Odyssey Touring
Best bang for the buck. We love it!!!
2021 kia sedona..ill be looking out for your review for it!
Can't wait to upgrade.. I've got a 2015 Odyssey.. best car for road trips and going camping which i do a lot. It can handle some off road and dirt road conditions because the ride sits up a bit higher than a normal car. Best feature of the 2021 model for me is the automatic tail gate. 🍻
I love the third row camera
Excellent review
I used to own a 2011 one and it was really great. There seem to be some really mixed reviews for this Odyssey fifth generation though. If you do your research online, there are lots of complaints for 2018-2019 models (transmission, electrical issues, battery, sliding doors opening on their own, etc). Not so much for 2020 on, maybe Honda took care of it after so many recalls.. Planning on seeing a 2021 model soon, last thing you want is a car you always have to be taking back to the dealer to be fixed. We'll see..
I have a 19 Pilot Touring AWD 8 but I always thought the Odyssey interior was nicer. If I didn't need AWD and had smaller kids I would go for this instead. I did have an Odyssey I past though so I have some credit to my words 😊.
Edit: Nice review btw and I finally subscribed. I know I should've done it a while ago 😅.
Consumer Reports says the Infotainment software in the Honda Odysseys have been real buggy. Have they addressed it, yet? I'm intrigued by the new upcoming Toyota Sienna. I'd wait for that, instead.
Great review
I think the design is beautiful . Hope Honda will have a hybrid option soon and not do anything to ruin this design .
No question mini Van's blow SUVs out of the water
The ride is great, but why does Honda still have a timing belt n a 2021 car. The bigger question is that does the Odyssey still have issues with the variable cylinders (causing oil to leak).
Great review! Vacuum in the van is a nice touch
If you're interested all of 4 minivans sold in America, you NEED to check out the 2021 Kia Carnival/Sedona. It's taking a very wild departure stylistically from what minivans have traditionally looked like!
How is the ride compare to a Lexus RX? As quiet?
How is the sound system? It has 11 speakers and a subwoofer, correct?
9:25 - 9:35. Best part if this awesome review! 😎👍
I have the 2020 Touring; top trim in Canada very much like the Elite in the US (even though you also have the Touring trim) and I noticed that they got rid of the NFC in the 2021... hmmm interesting
What car do you drive your self
Good review👍 I still think needs to do a comparison with the new sienna hybrid. definitely be a strong competitor against The Odyssey don't forget toyota bulletproof liability...
Where car reviewers often fail to appreciate the value of minivans is in the fact that they don't have children or move people. Minivans have the best balance of comfort and storage. The styling is based on taste, but if you want something with low surface area, maximum storage space, comfort for passengers (including kids), and reliability, the Honda Odyssey is the best possible vehicle. It will start and run every time for 10+ years. I don't know if Forrest has kids but his balanced review would seem to indicate he at least understands the value of minivans.
No doubt it is a great minivan. I used to have one, 2011 Odyssey but got rid of it for one reason and one reason only. No AWD option. I live in Minnesota where annual snow is averaging from 36” to 70”. Driving in winter snow with FWD/RWD vehicle is always a struggle. Traded it in with Toyota Highlander and very happy since then.
Well it's way more practical, and even faster than my car I'll give it that.
When I have my own family this will definitely be my car
I’m interested in the 2022 Kia Sedona which hopefully will look like the Carnival versioning Europe
Looks like a lower SUV with side sliding doors
Honda need an AWD version of this van !
AWD system really messes with the van's chassis especially when the interior's now are very appartment like. If they add the drivetrain to the rear and a differential, plus the supporting beefier subframe and suspension. People will then start complaining about the interior space being crammed up. You also need to remember the headliner houses the vents for the rear climate controls. So adding an awd system will raise the rear seats up, and possibly lose the large cargo area. Minivans actually don't need AWD system, their weight across the board is well distributed, and i don't think owners will want a minivan to do rock crawling. A good set of winter tires does the trick.. I am in the industry and i work with Intact.
@@flyingchicken33 ❤️
@@flyingchicken33 Bingo. AWD is one of the most useless things for 99% of drivers. Unless it's hybrid AWD without a drive shaft like the new Sienna. That's the perfect set-up for the next Odyssey.
I’m think of getting 2023 Elite, but transmission seems to be an issue.
End up getting 2020 honda pilot over odyssey i want AWD and higher clearance to ground
I love the minivan. Makes road trips so much more comfortable. I wish I could afford this Odyssey, but I can’t. Maybe I can buy one used?
Agreed, can't believe the top of the line models are close to 50k
My dad has this car. very practical and very comfortable to travel in! BTW this can fit a ton of luggage.
I got the 2022 and they discontinued the Honda Vac. My 2019 had it and was so convenient
The only minivan I want is a 2000-2004 Pontiac Montana in brown and beige. Just like my grandparent's previous van.
Did you show the lane assist thing?
Love the "tall hair"
17mpg! Can that be right? I've never had any trouble bettering EPA in any Honda by a lot. EPA is 18 city 28 hwy. 17mpg would be a deal killer.
If someone rear ended this Odyssey, the 3row would get crushed ! Amazing review. but I would be very worried to put my kids in the 3rd row due to how close it is to the rear bumper.
I wish that Honda would make the Pilot third row this big & let you get it with a bench instead of captain's chars for the Elite trim
I didn't like the updated fascia because it reminded me of the nissan quest. But it actually looks better in person and it definitely looks better than the pre-refreshed model
I was considering one of these until I found out there's no AWD option. Here in Minnesota, it's really important to have AWD in the Winter especially for a car this size.
The interesting thing about the Odyssey is that Honda actually makes two Odyssey's, the American one in this video, and one they sell in Asia. THAT one has had AWD for years, but not the American one unfortunately
@@darienmiller1032 Yea North America never gets the good stuff. :(
How will this compare to my Model X?
Hmm, dare to say this somewhat good looking for a minivan...
What’s the brand? Is it electric?
If your going to get a Van anything this is the best in the business period. Its not my thing I rather get the MDX or the LX570 or a CRV with high trim but it might be for someone that is not into those SUV truck frame vehicles
While this is a nice nice minivan, and they are great cars. I think the 2021 Toyota Sienna will be a better seller. I say this for four reasons. First, no matter what trim you get on the 2021 version they are all hybrid and get like 10 mpg better than the previous models. Second, the Sienna also has the only minivan that is AWD. Third, their vacuum is located with the middle row which make vacuuming much easier. Lastly, they have a built in refrigerator in it. Now what Honda Odyssey has which is better is you can take out the middle seats. I also think the Odyssey is longer as well. In my own personal opinion I think the 2021 Sienna is the best minivan.
love the night shots :)
How can you say the 2021 Odyssey is the van to get if you haven't reviewed the 2021 Toyota Sienna or the 2021 Kia Carnival? Not bashing man, just need to review those too. 2021 will be the best year ever for the battle of mini vans. I'm in the market for one and these 3 vans I'll need to look at closer.
Loved the review 👍
there is no sunroof in $50k?
My Grandfather just got one of these and I'm jealous but I don't need all the space because I only have 1 kid so a small suv or a large sedan does the job for me I don't know why but I laughed so hard when u said 3 payments of 8.99 😂 Can u review the 2021 Toyota corolla cross
