- Interviews are tough, especially when the interviewer contradicts himself with every word. Have you had a cringeworthy job interview? Tell us your experience in the comments.
"Fast Comedy" is Fast Company's latest UA-cam series. New episodes air every Thursday at 11 am.
There's a special place in hell reserved for recruiters advertising "entry level" positions requiring 5 years of experience.
I think they were placed in Southern California
@@nerdcouncil everywhere in Canada
I come back to this comment every time I experience this very thing.
This is not comedy. This is reality
Better believe that. lol
Was thinking the same. Was denied a job that didn't require experience, for not having enough experience.
It's so real, I find it disturbing.
I’ve been to about 10 interviews like this just this year
All my interviews were like this... At least I am not alone.
Some companies have absurdly high turnover and blame the generation.
Who tagged this as a comedy??? This is how they try and rope in experienced workers for entry level pay. For hourly updates I would make that 24 hourly updates a day. See the love.
This interviewer's IQ equals my goldfish's lifespan. RIP Bubbles.
I've been to some ridiculous interviews, where they want someone for a low level job, but expect extreme skills. At one of them I got offered $17,500 a year in salary, which at the time was only $2 above minimum wage. Then, with a worried look, she said, "I hope you won't leave to accept something higher." I told her, "Of course I will leave if offered something higher, your offer is an insult." On my way out, I saw one of their employees getting mad at a client, and wondered why he hadn't been fired. It's like the old saying, pay peanut and you'll end up hiring monkeys, pay in straw and you'll hire donkeys.
I've worked in a entry level minimum wage job, and when you are paid nothing your attitude matches that. When a client is not listening, your first thought isn't to help them, your first thought is "I'm not paid enough for this".
@@williamshakespeare9815I know that's the mindset of some people, but as someone who's worked a few $10/hr jobs (which was basically minimum wage) and done volunteer work, I don't treat people based on what I get paid. I try to be courteous because I would want the same from them, it makes things more enjoyable to not be a jerk, and they don't decide what I get paid.
@@sarahberkner I'm happy for you 👍
Won't leave to accept something higher? LOL, why wouldn't you take a higher offer someplace else? Out of loyalty to the company that lowballed you?!
Welcome to Southern California, where 3-4 years experience in ANY field is considered "entry level" SMH
This is so unfortunately realistic 😹
I am autistic. This is why I hate work and just want to obsess over my passions. It isn't immaturity or laziness, it is knowing it is all a bs side task.
Every second word contradict the previous one.
He seems to want someone this is perfect. Like a Robot.
this is how it actually is sometimes though. sometimes it really begs the question "what do you really want out of someone then?"
Worst job ever, but a good interview since you don't have to answer any questions
I went to a job interview once that went very wrong, and as far as I can tell to this day the person interviewing me had some sort of emotional problems that may have had something to do with his combat experience in the service. I think he was trying his best but, quite frankly, it was quite frightening. Please understand, my hat is off to ALL veterans who served; but this interview was one huge FUBAR from the beginning! I was so glad when the time came for me to leave. EVERYTHING went wrong on that interview!
I hope he managed to find what he was looking for in life.
👍🇺🇸👍
Thats what my interviews look like
Forgot the non-negotiable pay of $14.25 an hour
Standard job requirement for entry level developers in a nutshell but without the never ending list of technology stack with minimum 8 years of experience each
That defines academia
Funniest question I have every been asked. Where do you see yourself in 20 years....
I started laughing...
You realize I'm applying for full-time summer work as 5 ton dump drivers, right?
And I'm in my Mid 60's, so in 20 years, I'll be either dead or nearly dead.
Ok, next question please 🙏.
Imagine the male actor learning these contradictory lines. How many takes?
I find it funny how some interviewers use the company "benefits" to explain why they pay the way they do. For example, "the pay isnt as good here but the workplace is airconditioned and there's a fruit basket for staff once a week".... none of those things help pay your mortgage...
A team player means somebody I can suck the life outta of & degrade.
A team player means we will steal your ideas and sell them as the team's idea,, but if something goes wrong we will stop being a team and all try to throw someone under the bus.
I swear all us entries who are getting screwed over by the employment system should just come together, help each other and start our own system for the years to come rather answer to Boomers who will never reflect or understand how hard it is.
I'm walking out after 15 seconds.
his shirt looks disgusting
I got a big kick out of that.the truth is we've all been there.if I had a couple to do over...I simply would have excused myself and said you idiots are crazy and I want no part.
This is serious ooooooo
I had that guy for a boss. He was 5 years older than me. He left. I stayed. I retired at 57. That was 17 years ago. He's still working. Best 17 years of my life. NO SHIT!
Meh....
Another multi personality policy Company . Not unusual today.
In other words a hybrid with very little to offer.
So I understand you organized the death of the only person in Canada that knew the concepts for interface design and nukes, is that correct?
Yes!
Your hired as the head of intel! We are keeping you on for 40 more years!
I don't understand this direction at all?
Canada has been in the fetal position and is getting kicked by everyone for the past 40 years.
It doesn't work for my brain.
Unfortunately, I've seen a lot of that in reality.
Basically 99% of interviews then.
This might be an example of how BUD go to their situation
This is disgusting because it’s true.
This is my perfect job, reliable mavericks in the house, but you had me with snacks and hourly updates, ultimate job satisfaction criteria.
Also I have five years experience and am applying for entry level roles so this video captures the essence of it perfectly.
😂 but sadly not that untrue.
This is Not Comedy Video. Its Reality
This is the Worst Comedy?
Ok…. Bye….
This is reality.
I don't get the joke.
RED FLAG! RED FLAG!!!!
Can anyone explains to me why is this the worst job interview? Thank you.
Dang you were ignored for a year
@@broschannel3982Lol
@@broschannel3982 Make it two years.
Sign me up!
Hits hard.
This is the reality, directly stated or implied, for many firms; but you can usually see it in the job description and don't need to do an interview to know.
Yep
Looks like our internal interview process 😉
Always remember we must repent of our sins (sin is transgression The Law Of Yahuah The Father in Heaven. The Law are The Books: Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, & Deuteronomy). We must repent of our sins and Have Belief On Yahusha The Messiah. HE Died and Rose three days later so that we can be forgiven of our sins!

very unrelevant to the video but you do you friend.
Wasn’t she the lead character in the movie “The Hunt”?
The music is too loud, TBH
