Are you ready for the AM2 or AM2S

In this video I talk through the NET AM2S Readiness for Assessment: Candidate Self Assessment Checklist and associated costs with the AM2S.
The reason being is that I have heard a few people complain that they feel like they are being pushed into something they are not ready for, and then left with the financial burden when they have to pay for a retest fee.

Second time for me.... nearly ten years at it. Industry doesn't allow mates the chances to learn on the job about the subjects they test and assess you on. More like an exam for 18 years to learn how to take and adults have a much harder job to get through.
Your videos are brilliant.... wish I'd cone across them earlier. 😩

Hiya Adrian I have been watching your videos and been very good . I am an older guy who went to college and got my level two level three ,17th edition 18th edition and have my testing and inspection then got a job doing testing and my work place. now they are making me take the NVQ and take the AM2 which I don't feel really for has I am a vulnerable people and have been islolating for a good while , my Am2 is coming up very soon and very worried I am not ready .
when I was at college I thought I was able to work as an electrician which I was work for this company for a year before they are now making me go thought this Am2 . just worried.
when I was going though all these exams at college I thought it was all I need to work has an electrician , I paid a lot of money and also lost a son has I was doing all this which was so hard for me but thought at the end it was all over and completed all I needed just to work has a tester , only to find again after a year to have to go thought more exams , feel sick inside and thought to email

I’m not sure that anyone one can force you to take the AM2, as it’s not a legal requirement to trade as an electrician.
If it was, the tens of thousands of domestic installers would not be able to enrol on the competent person schemes, and that would lose them revenue

Do I need NVQ level 3 and AM2 to be a testing for a company?
