EN61243-3:2010 and onwards two-pole voltage indicators cannot use fuses for protection as it introduces a risk of false clear indication; proving should alleviate this but the standard went that way anyway.
This is the sequence I prefer and what I was taught, however I’ve seen a few sparky’s recently saying the AM2 pre documents say you have to start on L1 to L2. So if I do this procedure (which I prefer) will that be acceptable on my AM2?
Please ask the centre if you are ok to do safe isolation in a safe manner and start on E - N. If they state you must start on L1 to L2 then go with what they wish. To be honest, as long you cover all 10 tests it doesn’t matter which way you do it. The way I show it is just good practice.
Great point, I shall add this to the video, as we can also get an external supply from PV sources coming in from elsewhere etc. Thank you for your comment.
Hi Clayton, thanks for your question. It all depends on where you are isolating. In this video the incoming supply to the whole board is isolated. Some videos just isolate the main switch to the board so will test the top of the main switch. Hope that helps.
Thanks love you from Poland ❤

Thank you for your comment. Please also be aware of any additional supplies, such as solar panels and battery storage.
