- My fuel x lite failed and here is the result of the failure...

Ktm adapter for creader amzn.to/43TazsM
After reading all the comments and today is my birthday and the 390 is what I am getting myself I will be getting a new modified ECU too. After reading all the comments it seems like this is a one-off problem which does stink! But not an overall quality control issue. Best of luck with the warranty issue almost everyone makes warranty issues hard to resolve. I have a small SW company and we stand behind our (non-moto) service 100% a 100% of the time Again best of luck and pls keep us updated w the resolution!!!
This is what is stopping me from doing a pipe and this fuel controller. I think the bike is dangerously quiet and who doesn’t want a little more power. The service manager at the dealership I go to said they’re more headaches than they’re worth. Which is a shame because they do seem to offer some performance. If they could just get the stability of their product to be better.
thanks! having issues with my 2023 390 adventure, with the same miles and a fuelx lite. no check engine , but its idling horrible now after running great for months. when it sputters at idle the green lights stop and turn red, then back to green and it smooths out , then repeats. Your code reader special or just an adapter on a OBD2 ( i already have an obd2 with adapter ) ? good video man, thanks!
I own ktm rc 390 2022 model and i had the same problem, i guess it has to something with the water. If the water goes in it's done
Fuel X issue again this product is troublesome. Keep us posted Sean. 😀
It would be nice if powertronic would reply to me. If not, I am taking it out and dumping it in the trash.
I have a booster plug fitted from new no issue. 2020 model. They don’t make them for 2021 upwards. 😀
@@teddybowker7309 you mean the resistor mod on those years?
I only had this pop up once, and it fixed itself. I am curious to see what the future brings.
I've just fitted a Fuel X Lite on my Royal Enfield Interceptor 650
And I took it to my dealership, because I didn't have a Diagnostic check device, they charger me £25
After I'd found my Engine Management light on whilst the engine was running,
They told me a similar thing to what you have discovered,
This is just confirming my thoughts,
That I'm just going to take the dam thing off, I've tried re- plugging the sockets, checking the bloody fuel cap,
Switching the engine on and off,
Flicking the lights, the kill switch,
All the crap people tell you to try,
I've had enough,
Funny thing, I have a Fuel X Lite successfully installed and working on my Royal Enfield Hunter 350 ?
But it's just not having it on the Interceptor,
So I got it from Hitchcocks UK this May,
So I'm going to See if I can get some money back on it,
And I'll be putting the Interceptor 650 back as it was.
Cheers Paul
I watched your installation video (part 8) and it seems that you may have messed up the calibration before first start-up. I'm guessing you should have waited longer until the lights flashed green signalling the calibration with the ECU was complete.
I did that although I did not film it. You can see that procedure in my other bike build series playlists. I was the one that came up with that procedure in the first place and powertronic swears you don't need to do that but I disagree with them.
Can I say that I fitted a Fuel X Lite on my Royal Enfield Interceptor 650
After fitting Left it on tick over for a good 12 minutes,
An i have an issue with the Engine warning light staying on whilst the engine is running, took it to my dealership, they plugged in the diagnostic device, discovered a fault on the 02 sensor,
I'm at my wits end,
I'm taking the bloody thing off,
And sending it back to Hitchcocks UK,
Cheers Paul
I got that code every time I change my exhaust (ie removed cat, resonator etc.) but resetting the code solved the problem, and it didn’t come back. Once after river crossing the code came back, so I suspect it may not be a problem exclusive to fuelx
Once the fuel x is removed from the o2 sensor loop the code goes away and never comes back. I tested it yesterday on a ride to work.
Did you get it thru powerTRONIC? which straight from
India?
Yes, they finally replied and wanted me to fill out a warranty activation form on their page which is funny because I bought the product directly from them so I sent them a screenshot. Hopefully this does not turn into warranty claim "tennis", if that is the case I will find a different controller. I have purchased 3 of these units and this is the first one I have had issues with.
@@SeanFillner Do share the feedback. Filling a warranty form is a norm here due to counterfeit and pre-owned markets. I will be sending them an email with a link to your video. Have been planning to buy one.
@@virajvrooms already did. Check the playlist I created for this build series.
What code reader adapter do you need to go from obd2 to KTM?
This one if you have a 2022 or newer amzn.to/3Q6ZXBx
@@SeanFillner thank you, I have a 2023
@@timothyrutledge1021 it will work. I use the same one on my 2023 husqvarna norden 901
@@SeanFillner thanks!
Tell them if it's not under warranty it's coming back though the window 😊
I laughed out loud when I saw this! At this point it's not far from the truth!
@SeanFillner that usually gets there attention 😊
dimmes my belongings..
