Good job, I can appreciate the effort, but you're using the wrong mud you're using a light weight joint compound.You're supposed to be using something heavier with more of a glue bass product like a jutt.All-purpose, thank you.Have a good day

plastic trowels will be fine its about application and proper sanding techniques. he should not be teaching but I love this video for a guy showing his experience learning something new. useful for other people learning. he does mention some decent points during working too. All that matter is your end result not the journey
