I wanted to thank you! My bf wanted twists and I’ve never done them so I was nervous. I watched your tutorial (the only one) and they came out like I was a pro! Thank you Queen! Tomorrow I have to tell him it was all because of you. If I told him it was my first time he never would’ve let me do it lol.
You haven't even started his hair yet Awww 🥰 he is soooo Cute. Adorable I miss my baby boy being little. I love when someone is doing my hair it good and relaxing. I know he loves it!🥰🥰
Thanks for this video, I have a mixed nephew who unfortunately has a neglectful mom but fortunately his sister's mom steps up and does his hair majority of the time but when she's not available I try to do my best in maintaining his hair.
Thanks for this detailed video! I used your method on my son (my first time) but in the morning they were flat because I put a du-rag on him did I do something wrong? What method do you use to protect at night? Should I use a Du-rag or bonnet and should I spray with water or just leave them alone will they re-fluff on their own.
I use a bandana or you can also use a bonnet. If it looks flat just take both hands and put the hair between tour hands and roll it lightly. That should work. Dont spray it with water because it'll make them look shabby.
The trick of placing the locking gel on the back of your hand was genius... a real time saver! Best explanation of how to get the coil to tight - thank you!
Hello! I love this tutorial and I’m trying to learn how to do this hairstyle for someone. Do you put in the leave in conditioner before you start adding the gorilla snot and twisting?
Yes I do. So first I wash, then condition, then leave in condition. Once dried then I start the process of twisting. After done with entire head I add shining spray like peppermint oil, cocnut oil, or any oil you desire.
Thank you so much for this video... My songs hair is the same length as his and he likes that kinda look but he just puts water in his and the more it grows the more messy it looks so I'm definitely gonna try this out on him... His hair looks so nice. Great job. Thanks
This is exactly what I needed. Thank you for teaching in a fun way! Can you show us how to fix the twists at the scalp after they've been slept on. How often do you repeat twist?
How do you turn these small twists into small dread braids? I'm only finding videos with the two strand dread. However, maybe I'm not understanding. Thank you for any help with your video links! So helpful. I did this on my son tonight and he love, love, loves it. He's so proud.
Thanks for showing it slowly step by step. I just have to keep practicing. 🤣 I feel like I am twisting my hands or still doing something not quite right. Some tight and neat and some not.
Thank you for this video. This actually looks easier than the 2 strand twists. I’ve not done either one and my 4 year old is autistic so breathing on his hair is an issue. I wonder how long does this last?
I wanted to do this to my grandsons hair, it will be my first time. Thank you for the detailed tutorial. I have a few questions do you put something on his head for bed and if you do does it keep the hair from frizzing and not flatten the twist. How long does this style last before you wash it again? Thank you.
You have to wait until they are about 3 weeks to wash them therefore they'll be somewhat dreaded together if that makes sense. I just put a durag on his head at bedtime to keep them fresh.
Hey please I wanted to know how do you moisturise short twist ... just had my twist with short hair and wondering how I could moisturise it and not destroy the twist at the same time ... thank you very much
You can use any moisturizer. Just when you apply it don't just put it in all rough. Take your time and do it. I like to use cream of nature argon oil con Honey Twisting Cream. But there is all kinds you can use. I take the cream and gently apply it to the twists...
hi! i’m learning how to do twists for my boyfriend, i have a question? are twists and coils the same or are they different? and how do they stay in twists with just leave in conditioners and oils? thanks!
I guess you can say that coils and twists are almost the same. However when I do the comb twist I make sure I tighten the hair by the roots before twisting as shown in the video. Unlike coils you just twist without the roots being tight. Now I use gorilla snot to make sure they stay secure.
Say I did not attempt to do 2 strand twist on 1 child last night followed by trying to do ur method on another child but didn't watch this video in full, used a flimsy comb that didn't work & spent way too long doing this. Going to buy a real comb today & 🙏 my kid's hair come out alright!

I have thick mixed hair and the roots are a struggle to keep twisted. Also will any gel work with the twist or a certain type? I’m still practicing but don’t seem to be doing it right
I'm not tryna be an ass but I got the typical Italian hair extremely thick n long but it's straight. I tried grease n gel n that shit stay in after I shower 3 times lol but I can't ever keep it out my face otherwise. do twistees work on straight hair?
Honestly I dont know because all my kids have kinky curly hair. Never did twists on straight straight hair. I would assume you can if you follow the instructions then put a clip on the end of the twist so it won't unravel. Then sit under the dryer until they're completely dried. Then take out the clip. Im assuming that would work but only assuming.
Oh so like right after I do it I need to wear a Durga at night? And to keep it from looking old and keeping it moisturized I need to put oil on it? And how many times a week with oil? Sorry for asking too many questions Ik u may be busy it’s just a big switch for me from high top to twists
Im ok with the questions. Yes put a durag on every night before going to bed. Also you can keep it moisturized with oil when ever it gets dried. To answer your other question if you unravel them properly it will make curls as a style but not in general if that makes sense.
@@lilbredoitall7369 Yea I’m thinking about it and I heard like it is kind of complicated to take showers with the hairstyle.
