This was so helpful. I’m a mom with two curly haired mixed race children. Their hair is almost identical to your clients. I truly appreciate this tutorial, I’ve got braiding and parting (sectioning) down, next is twists for my son. He’s been begging me to learn. Thanks again!!!

thank you for this tutorial. they honestly look amazing. just two questions. i have similar hair and have been looking to get this done. are you able to do them yourself or does it require someone else. also, what product do you use in the twisting process.

This style can certainly be done by yourself. But the parting is usually the struggle. I just used shine n jam for these.

How do you make it so tight ? Everytime I try to do I it it comes out loose at the top

Hi Janeese, I just take my time prepping the base. Splitting it in two and then twisting each side separately before twisting them together.

What products are you using. I am attempting to twist my sons hair he has soft curly hair (he is biracial) so do I need to use any product or just gel?

The only products I used for these was the yellow shine n jam and probably mousse at the end.
