Love this song. No idea why it didn't do better. I wish it had. Like the girl in the yellow dress dancing. Proves tbat you can dance to Quo. Not that I didn't think you couldn't!
Dancing to Quo is easy: Step 1: Throw your head back Step 2: Whip it back down again Step 3: Grow your hair out for dramatic effect. Repeat until you get dizzy.
Fair comment and yes it's easy to dance to SQ. But I suspect back then people were so desperate to get on TOTP so as to let their hair down and get noticed, they would have danced to anything.
I have been following Quo since I bought Pictures of Matchstick Men in 1968. But I have never seen this video and never heard this song before. So ashamed.
Inventive song with a good beat and nice humour. Always enjoyed listening to this track. But from memory this only reached no. 36 in the charts, because at that time in 1982, SQ were a deeply unfashionable band, perceived to have been left behind by punk and post-punk. Posterity now showing that fashion was wrong.
This one just never felt like the right single. It didn't fool me . Whoever picked the SQ singles from the 70s did a great Job ! I just think this one never felt like a single compared to all the ones that came before it.
Ronald how exactly does one do “soft production”? Over produced, under produced, yes, I understand the concept, but “soft production”? Also, the drums aren’t any softer than some of the stuff in the 70’s.
“I love Status Quo outstanding performance of She Don’t Fool Me very much indeed “
I think this was one of my first Quo songs. I still love it.
Always liked this. Should have been a bigger hit
Yeeeessss!!! Love this one from 1+9+8+2 album🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸

Yeap !
👍👍👍👍👍+👍👍👍
Was there ever an official video for this ?
Nope, the band never bothered. They either assumed it wouldn't do well and wasn't worth it, or they just couldn't be arsed
Like been in March 2010
My favourite from 1+9+8+2 album. Is this the first Quo vdeo with singing drummer?
Spot the Antigua Tele 👀
Should have done better in the charts great song !👍🎸🎸🎸
Je les adore, mais c'est clairement pas leur meilleur album😢
The beginning of the end.
They’d already lost their way looooong before this crap.
You lost your way I think
Not a fan of the soft production (especially drums) but great track 👌🏻

I mean the sound doesn't have any punch, but sounds weak as a whole
@@koekelmetperen pete Kirchner was solid, kept a beat, his sound was awesome live, Just listen to Live at the NEC 82... Great drummer
Not their most... Inspired album. But the song is alright.
