Just perfect, here in 2024 watching a song from 1984 being performed in 2004. Amazing.
Couldn't say it better myself!
Somehow the 1984 music & vibe keeps connecting with us 😎
How mathematically symmetrical.....plus like #42
Holy crap, this should not be possible, live performances in studio perfection. Professional artists perform perfectly.
"I just need a bass!" That's possibly the biggest understatement Trevor Horn's ever made... 😂🙏❤️
Amen. I just wish I could find a clip of Trevor playing with Chris Squire. ❤
Do you think he’ll stick with it and maybe he’ll make it work 😂
@@martinadams5893 🤣... He hasn't got many other career options he can choose... 😂
@@melindamccormack4721 I can't look into the future, but I think the kid will go pretty far with it. He's got some skills.
I never thought this classic could be played live. Trevor Horn & co proved me wrong. Absolutely fantastic!
Totally agree! Amazing performance!
we're on the same page!!!!
I think when Trevor smiles and shakes his head at the end, he's thinking the same thing! 😂
It's just mad how good this is!
I thought that as soon as I saw the thumbnail! 🤣 Pulled it off, sounds great! 👍🤘👍
That little girl in the music video used to freak me out when I was a kid. lol
Someone wake the crowd, the song has begun.
Its now 2024 and this is one of the best since 1984 for me.
Trevor, Anne and the Art of Noise. Simply superb.
Simply superb. Is spot on Bro!! What a talent Trevor is!!
The concentration when Trevor's playing then the look on his face at the end when it went off without a hitch!
I played this as a DJ for so many people. This performance is so impressive, it literally makes my heart skip beats. Love this.
Me too. 🙂with some Leftfield, Orange Juice and Blancmange
I love this track. I didn't realize Trevor was so talented on the bass. I love how this track starts. Trevor is laying down the baseline and then the drummer kicks in and says let's kick it up five notches and kicks up the tempo and that makes everybody smile. That's sort of my favorite parts of this song. Trevor's like yeah bring it. Overall 10 plus
This was 20 years after the song was released, and now I’m watching this 20 years later still. I’m not old, nurse.
So good, so amazing! I loved this song in 1984 and love it today and I love seeing Anne and Trevor perform live in 2004!
such a treat to have this great classic played live! one of my absolute favorite songs ever
This piece meant so much to me as an arty kid back in 1984, especially this fused with Tony Hart. Art of Noise, and this track especially was a major influence on me love of music and making my own.
Terrific....I had completely forgotten, to my shame, just how good this track is. Well done to all.....a classic of the 80's.😊
Seriously one of the coolest songs of all time.
The energy of the drummers, great show. Fantastic play
It didn't hurt to have the drummer from Yes playing along!!!
When I was a kid, I used to think Les Claypool was an awesome bass player, but listening to Trevor, he isn't even close :)
Never envisioned seeing/hearing a live version of this tune... Too cool.
That bass is insanely good!
They have their own genre, nothing else like it.
Just for the record that the most important thing in Art of Noise was Anne Dudley, she did orchestrations for all the music names ZTT label, she has been making classical, film music for a long time, I'm glad to see her here on stage
Anne Dudley is brilliant and doesn't get the credit she deserves.
@@elco6400 Agree
Great tune, well played by all but *that basswork* 👌
Trevor Horn is friggin brilliant, one of the most prolific producers of the 20th century in my mind, you always knew precisely what to do - as one of my production influences, always was curious about what Tears for Fears would sound like if Horn had gotten ahold of them... Ann Dudley, as certainly a contributing factor, I had to remember just how many hits they had.
UN. FREAKING. BELIEVABLE!!!
Literally close to the edit. :)
Super bass playing! A great band, top arranger on keys and the deliciousTessa Niles. What more could you want"
If Trevor ever reads these I hope he realises how much of an influence the art of Noise have been on music.
Also anybody reading this should check out the Rhythm Scholar remix of Close (to the edit) for one of the finest reworks that I've ever heard.
It's just so ridiculous how amazing this is
The music videos that were done back in the day never did this track justice. It's something that has to be experienced live to be truly appreciated. Trevor, Anne, and AoN were all spectacular!
Art of Noise was so good to hear in the 80'
this composition is perfect.
this should be the last one that I ever hear.
Not sure what's better Trevor's bass playing or his smile at the end - thank you for your music maestro
This is brilliant absolutely loved the art of noise especially peter Gunn 😄😄😄😄 Trevor your a legend thanks for the memories 👍👍👍👍👍jx
I loved the album - bought it back in the 1980s. I liked the whole album but Close to the Edit was my favourite track.
I'm so glad I got to see them live with Duane Eddy back then. Trevor was an absolute sample powerhouse producer an aural visionary.
just fukn ridiculous how phenomenal this performance is
I've still got the 12 inch of this record!
Brilliant he never makes a mistake
Come to Tampa Bay Trevor!!! PLEASE!!!!
Amazing musicians!!
Wow man, i keep coming back to this great performance. I just love it
Absolutely LOVE the Bass.🎸
Thanks Trevor Horn!
I haven't had this song in years
I love that bass it's thumping for sure
Would've been cool to have Chris Squire sing his previously sampled voice live, since he was there.
THAT DRUMER IS "KILLING " IT!!! VERY GOOD 👍
Pretty sure it's Paul Robinson- fantastic drummer
One of the drummers is Alan White
Funny to think that Into Battle and Close to the Edit were not immediate hits. They were played mostly by pirate radio stations by scratch DJ's before they got any traction on radio 1.
L❤ve this & the original. Kickass
Damn!! That bass tho!! Always wanted to see someone accomplish that on the bass!!
Utter Perfection!
Insanely good performance of an amazing milestone of a track!
That is a helluva good bass job
Pure genius
Classic Art Of Noise
Long live Alan White!
Who needs a Fairlight if you have a band of 25 tight musicians?
Trevor in the zone.
So good to see you playing with them Trevor, so much fun.
Loved that album- Moments in Love was the best track for me
trevor horn gives me the horn...oh the talent
That was awesome, one of my favourite tunes from the Rishton Methodist Youth Club 🎉
Definitely one of my favourite art of noise tracks sir ❤ especially this live version. 😎👍

Is this that day when they played in front of those lifeless store mannequins? Great song from my youth.
Art of Noise top!!!!!
Fantástico bajista. ❤
I finally figured out why you call it the Art of Noise. Superb job ❤️BTW: I follow you on Twitter and IG using different names…I didn’t realize I was an old fan until I seen your show at the Greek Theatre on June 7. The Bugles did an outstanding job too…❤️
RIP Alan White.

Man I love this !!!
Wonderful bass player 🎉
Incredible !!!!!
Hey you did this song (Art of Noise)? I remember when this came out, I was in middle school (82-84), or beginning high school (84/85). There were two videos for this song. The more popular video was the one with the little girl in it.....And then came the song "Emotions". Wow. 👍🏾👍🏾❤❤.
Awesome
souvenir! souvenir! merci
Tremendous 👌
You can't touch this!
Just Wow!
Fabulous.
Class.
Boy-joe ... Trev can play!
over great!
4:07 WHooopss!! Someone triggered the drum fill sample to early!! Still.......EPIC. One of my all-time favorite groups... AON!!!
Fucking brilliant 😂😂😂
❤
👍👏👏👏👍
je crois que chacun a un morceau qui l'a marque de ce groupe.
Pour moi c'est Camilla le premier.
Puis j'ai ecoute 'who's afraid of'.
Des lors je guette leur influence dans la musique d'aujourd'hui.
tra la la!
My favorite #AoN track was their version of the Robinson Crusoe theme. Do you have that too?
