    Thank you, Bosch says this parts not serviceable, but looking at it, someone had to build it, and thought has to be rebuild able, and I found this video, so I guess I'll be taring down and cleaning it, I have a truck like yours, but mines a m109a2 and sat for 20 years.

    I can tell you that with 21 years of Army DS/GS experience that aside from leaks, 90% of the time the injection pump was not the problem. When the Automotive Shop would "inter-shop" the pumps to the F&E Shop they guys would throw it on the test stand and it would work fine. Most of the time it was bad fuel or bad injectors.

    If the actual rod that moves up and down is worn, it likely isn't serviceable. Everything else about it is pretty serviceable.

    (Injection pump is on engine). Do I need to have the engine on time to be able of removing that injection head? Mine leaks around the bottom section of that injection head and I purchased a 3 piece kit of O-rings for it. Help!

      Idk if this is your problem, limited info you gave, but you may have wrong diameter rings or there might be debris, note a grain of sand is way too big, smaller objects will cuase leak. Also if threads are worn or rusted, there will be micro gap in between, enough to leak.

      @@derpyrage3852 I have NOT replaced the o-rings with the new ones I bought. I need to know, how to replace them...

      And to take HH off I just aligned the red or indented groove on the HH timing gear and it pulled straight out very little force, if it takes more, you may have obstruction.

      @@derpyrage3852 ok, but how do I align that with the pump still attached to the engine? Turning the engine/crank?

      @@wilmersegarra1574 yes, the engine will turn over and the HH will move with it, idk a sure fire easy way, other than just turn over engine until you can remove it. Don't turn engine with HH unscrewed, gear could slip off and chip or break.

      DERPY RAGE I spelled the name wrong but the name is Bosch it’s the company that made the pumps and still to day make engine pumps spark plugs and more and yes buy them they say the hydraulic head isn’t serviceable but a lot of people are cleaning them and in some cases repairing them with old parts for new parts to save money because just the hydraulic head can be anywhere from 400 bucks to 2000 just for that part imagine the hole pump assembly

      Hey Bosch called to say your empty fuel tank is not a serviceable part. You need to buy a new one with fuel in it from them!

      Anything's serviceable if you want to take the time, and have the understanding of how things work, and in some cases it's because it was made to be desposable parts, but I've been able to rebuild things that were plastic and was desposable. I think if come to point that either you dive into something because their is no other choice other than spending some money.

    Did you ever get yours running?

    • @derpyrage3852
      @derpyrage3852  6 років тому

      Yep, I prepped the intake with a ether diesel pump spray to jump start it to get the air out of the lines. Had to clean some injectors but fired right up after the HH got cleaned

    • @derpyrage3852
      @derpyrage3852  6 років тому +1

      But I'm having trouble with another, I can jumpstart her with a either diesel mix and she with run on that through the intake but she will stall once I stop. I feel that its the injectors but I'm not experience at all with that. I kinda need help figuring out what to do next.

    • @davidwyby

      I have a parts truck I’m trying to get running as well. I had an idea. Pull all the injectors out. Reconnect them to the injector lines with them aimed in a SAFE direction. Crank the engine over and see how the spray pattern looks. Then you will know if you have injector or IP problems.

      @@derpyrage3852 there are injector testers like a hydraulic jack pump with a gauge. It bench tests crack pressure of injector. It needs pressure to unseat the pintle in the injector, it lifts/sprays, pressure drops and pintle closes.
