I love your music selections, well done. Thoroughly enjoy all of your videos whether on land or sea, all good fun. You seem like a very pleasant couple and caring with one another. It surely helps viewers enjoy your content.
Hi guys, nice vid! A suggestion....if you have the menus, menu shots in the videos are great for visual people (like me) who would prefer to read it rather than having it read to them :) Every looks AMAZING.
Hi, interesting dining guide as we booked for next year for 2 weeks, starting and ending in Barcelona for (almost) the whole Mediterrean (Monaco, St Tropez, Corsica, Sardinia, Tuscany, Amalfi coast, Sicily, Menorca) with EXPLORA 2, thanks a lot Luc and Nancy (from Belgium).
Beautiful ship we will be doing 14day cruise from south Hampton oct 21 to france spain Portugal azzors then across Atlantic to new york on NCL best wishes
Just stumbled upon your channel. I find it interesting how he constantly interrupts in this bit. I am sure it is just the excitement of the experience. Just an observation. 😊
So many times we’ve been asked this question. It’s a really difficult one! Think Regent have the best food of any cruise we’ve been on, amazing. Loved the trendy ships of Explora and the beautiful suites. If we had to pick one out of the two it would probably be a regent, but only because we did Japan on it earlier in the year and had the most memorable experience and it really stood out for us. Would return on either of them in a heartbeat ❤️
@@theposhtravelblog thank you. I also sailed Japan on Regent this year. It was amazing. I’ve done 4 Regent cruises but am really looking at trying this new cruise line. I just need to find the right itinerary. Also I can very highly recommend Scenic Eclipse discovery yachts, they are just incredible.
Was the ship full and did you have any problems making reservations in any restaurant ? A wonderful video so full of valuable information , many thanks.
Hi David, the ship was 2/3rds full and we made our reservations on the first day. We tried to book again for Sakura but they said they were full so we spoke to the Maitre d’ at the door of Sakura, and she kindly found us a table! They were very accommodating and did their best to fulfil your requests. Thanks for the great comments 😊
Have you tried the Ritz Carlton Yacht collection experiences yet?? How does it compare to the Explora collection? Food, living experience, services … etc
Thanks for this and it all looks very good - I have a couple of comments though. Basically it is around the cruise line taking things that are American and stating they are from other part of the world - I live in Penang in Malaysia and there is no such thing as slow cooked 72 hour Penang ribs (not sure if I go this correct) - what a fallacy this is and it is for Americans to have ribs - the second is New Zaeland lamb with applewood bacon - first of all applewood bacon is American and second in New Zealand they have middle or back bacon not the American side bacon - so we need to call out cruise lines renaming dishes when it suits them
Hi Peter it’s actually Panang curry, not Penang, which is a Thai dish and really delicious. It was made with slow cooked rib of beef (not American ribs as we know them). Not sure about the New Zealand lamb with applewood bacon, but everything we tried was very tasty. 😊
Thank you for sharing! This is the first vlog I watched and it was a bit difficult to maintain focus because you keep interrupting one another. Lots of good information though.
They brought on different entertainers eg Scottish Band with fiddle, guitar, piano etc, a singer from the UK, and a violinist on different evenings and they performed in the Journeys Lounge. There are no big shows etc it’s all low key. The Astern lounge at the back then has a DJ in the evening for a dance. It’s different to traditional cruising, and we loved that 😊
We went to the Edinburgh Tattoo on our trip and they had a Brigadier on who was the guest speaker and he had managed the Tattoo for a number of years..
@@theposhtravelblog Many thanks to the answer. Just out of curiosity permit me 2 questions, perhaps a bit out of topic, but hey: Did they have classical or easy listening piano music by the atrium or elsewhere in the evening? What do you really think is EJ real segment in the market: Regent/Seabourn/Silverseas or either Azamara/Oceania/Viking one?
@@nunagoras They had 2 Steinway pianos that played themselves! But we did have a pianist once in the lobby area playing, so I imagine he moves about on the ship. We are Seabourn diamond members and have travelled extensively with them. This is as good in our opinion, some things are better on Seabourn and some better on Explora. We really loved the food on Explora and the different dining options. Entertainment probably more happening on Seabourn and more low key on Explora. It is luxurious and and we loved it. To be honest we would go on them both again as like them equally. 😊
it was one of my most terrible cruises ever ! the complimentary wines wre terrible and the food constantly lukewarm or even nearly cold! and I am a very experienced cruise passenger in the luxury level .
So are we (experienced luxury cruisers) and thought it was one of the best cruises we’ve ever experienced! Clients have literally just text us who are on the ship now and are blown away with it, so we are totally shocked to hear your comments. 😳

I love your videos but you should stop interrupting and talking over your wife lol
Sorry!! 🙈 you’re not the first to say that! I think it was excitement and will be watching out for it in future!! 😂🙈

Fabulous. You just destroyed my resolve to stick to my pre September Tenerife hols.
- the food sounded wonderful 😋
😂 we absolutely loved it. We have clients who booked last year and rebooked for this year as they enjoyed it so much 💙

On Explora 1 do you have to pay for in suite dining as it's a 24 hour service?
No it’s all included in the price 🎉🥂
Many thanks 🎉
Can you let us know what the entertainment was like on board and do they have guest lecturers on sea days?

So, there is no "Main Restaurant" on these ships?
