I think it is SO wonderful that you are spending time with your father and Joan, Christina and Stuart. It makes me remember my own father who passed last year. I love your videos!
@@VinnnyMakesMusic Hi Vinny, we recognise you! What a voice! We absolutely loved your singing. Think Tim the singer was with you too, and he was singing as we left Montenegro this summer which was amazing as well. We are off to Canada tomorrow to join Regent Grandeur so that will be good. Great to hear from you and see you on another Seabourn cruise soon we are sure! 👋🏼👏🏼🤗
I just love your channel. I love how you’re so sweet to your family. Love your vibe. Listening to you both is so relaxing and lovely. Been listening getting ready for my first Seabourn cruise in November and AMA river cruise in May. You both cover the real details I want to know! Cheers from Florida.
So happy I found your channel! Planning a long cruise and debating between Seabourn and Regent. I know Seabourn fairly well. Are you still planning to do your comparison video between the two ships? Best to you both and keep on cruising. :)
@@bradleypiper6557 Thanks for watching! Have talked about the comparison video and it’s in the pipeline but to be honest it would be difficult to pin down one or the other and make a decision! Food wise Regent has the edge.. entertainment and events wise Seabourn win.. 🙏🏼
Would be great to mention what is included as far as drink, spa, etc as you tour through the ship! And what costs extra or not included. Looks like a lovely time and your dad seemed to be having a great time!
Excellent video! Did you find the Quest in need of dry dock/refurbishment? Soft goods, carport, lounge/restaurant furniture, etc? Thank you for this updated information on the condition of an older ship.
No we didn’t notice that, the ship seemed modern and comfortable. They have changed the sunbed mattresses etc now, but maybe they could have chosen slightly thicker ones! We suppose if you look closely maybe there are a few things that need updating, but we didn’t notice it as we mentioned.
Hello Stuart & Christina, very much enjoying this series and your recent Regent trip too. Is Cape Verde classified as Africa, I ask as my father is limited to European destinations for travel insurance? Also, a question specifically for Christina, I’d really love to know how dressy/or informal people are in the evenings? It looked as though the dress code in the evening was fairly casual, and you would be overdressed if you wore cocktail dresses? I do like to dress for the evening but don’t want to look like a Christmas bauble if everyone else is very casual!
Hi Andrea, yes Cape Verde falls under Worldwide insurance unfortunately. Re the dress code, this last cruise was quite casual, I think they’d advertised it at cheaper rates and it brought a different set of people onboard. From our previous experience it’s usually always fairly dressy, there’s no set rules on dress code just smart casual, but a lot of the time ladies put cocktail dresses on and I’m one of those! I haven’t seen ball gowns however like you’d find on Cunard, but on Captains night it is dress up time, again cocktail dresses. Basically you’re fine in a cocktail dress or a smart trouser combo most evenings. Hope this helps! X
@@theposhtravelblog Thanks for the quick and very helpful reply. I’ve cruised a lot with Cunard, which celebrates dressing up. I wasn’t thinking of taking my Cunard formal night evening gowns!!!, but it looked as though even my cocktail dresses would be a bit over the top in comparison to what I saw other guests wearing (you looked lovely and classy as per usual ☺️). Interesting that you mentioned that this was a bit more casual than normal for Seabourn. My Dad is 92, so finding itineraries that we’ve not done before but within his insurance limitations is becoming increasingly challenging.
Literally just returned from Seabourn cruise. We had the worst embarkation welcome ever, found a pair of man's underpants on the floor of our suite, average food, average staff, but, the nicest passengers we've ever met on a cruise. The highlights we have unfortunately don't involve Seabourn.
@@two20johnCrumbs we have never encountered that before and we have been on over 200 days!! The crowd usually is good. We’ve just returned from a Greek island cruise and couldnt fault it again apart from Solis which we aren’t that cracked up on! Sorry you had a bad experience that is very unusual 🫣
@@theposhtravelblog just had a passenger debarked from Encore in Turkey for throwing a chair in the swimming pool from the deck above. He could have seriously hurt someone. He was in a penthouse too. It happens and the more Seabourn sell last minute cabins to bottom feeding Travel Agencies the more prevalent it will become.
Hi really enjoyed the vlog thank you. I was just wanting to ask how the experience on Seabourn compared to MSC Expora? Appreciate the ships are different in size and price point, but is Seabourn worth the extra cost? ( also really enjoyed the Explora vlogs too !) Thanks x
Hi Heather, we love them both to be honest. We’ve cruised Seabourn for years and love the special events and of course the unlimited caviar! Our only trip on Explora was amazing, but it was different. More like being in a land based luxury hotel, no announcements, low key entertainment, but excellent dining. Suited us perfectly! We personally loved it but if you like a more traditional cruise style then Seabourn would fit. Price wise Seabourn are a bit more and that may be to do with the endless caviar! Think Explora had the edge on dining though. Explora was more private when it came to tables for two whereas Seabourn tend to put their tables close together or mix tables. Hope that helps! 😍
Every lovey couple and video looking forward for your next trip.
Seabourn is an awesome cruise line, I have sailed twice already with them, will do so again in 2025.

Great job, thank you for your natural presentation and genuine enthusiasm.
Thanks for the great comments 🤗
The ship is beautiful! I realize the small ship in outside waters can be rough.
Thank you for your excellent videos and your frank appraisals of onboard food and service, especially. ❤

Another insightful video. Try using sea bands for seasickness, having been in 7 meter seas crossing the Tasman, I can confirm that they work!

Glad you enjoyed it!💙

Each to their own. Personally, I couldn't think of a worse holiday. Enjoyed the video though.
Why bother posting if you have nothing to say. We don't care for your views on cruising.
Everything looks dated and tired, try the new expedition ships for a breath of fresh air
Will do, on the list! 🥂
What tosh. What a rip off. Better to enjoy your evenings at home with couple of packs of mi-goring noodles and a can of tuna, with YT on the go.
