Thanks for your positive reaction. There are a lot of cultural norms that, unless you are insensitive, require consideration if you are a world traveller. Whilst essentially all cruise lines offer travel, food and entertainment. The actual experience differs enormously depending on your choice of cruise line, and dare I say it the price that you pay. So make sure you research carefully before booking. I recently watched a vlog by a 20-something American citizen who travelled solo on a UK based cruise line that markets specifically aiming at families and an older demographic. It wasn't a match, so he didn't enjoy it. No suprise . Explora seems very appropriate for couples, looking for something refined and relaxing. Try Seaborne or Silversea next. Both are excellent with the latter, just that little bit more European. Regent seven seas is truly excellent as well with terrific food and service and a little bit more of a traditional vibe.
Thanks for these videos , can’t wait to go on Explora 2 in February, can I ask about dress code for the restaurants in an evening? Is there one is everything acceptable husbands wants to wear shorts but I’m not sure there allowed
Swim wear and bathrobes are not allowed throughout the day in any of the restaurants and indoor bars and lounges. Shorts and sleeveless t-shirts are not allowed during dinner time (18:00 - late) in Anthology, Fil Rouge Baseball caps and sportswear are not allowed during dinner time (18:00 - late) in Anthology, Fil Rouge, Sakura, Marble & Co. Grill, Med Yacht Club.
We will do a complete review and compare a bit in a week or so. But overall it is just another level. While you may not get a butler service in the entry level, the entire ship feels like you are in the Haven or Retreat no matter where you are.
It is just taken everything up several notches across the board. From the rooms, drinks, food and service it just feels steps above the Yacht Club. Now it is definitely more expensive than the Yacht Club but you can feel where they have spent that money.
Dress code is an interesting subject. Much discussed. English and European guests are much more inclined to dress for dinner. Informal to them means carefully dressed, gentlemen should not wear shorts t shirts, hoodies or baseball caps for dinner or even lunch in a formal setting. If you are travelling on a vessel in Europe were there are more European guests than American it's worth bearing in mind. It's a cultural difference but an important one. Europeans also tend to take a little longer to dine. Hope this helps.

I love that Jack gives a great shot at healthy dining. Not easy on a cruise!
Excellent videos and content and you have inspired me to book a cruise with Explorer Journeys so thank you! 👍
Thanks so much!
The Osso Bucco looks amazing. Can't wait until I am onboard in January.
This was great. What time is their entertainment start in the evening?
I don’t remember the exact time. They did 2 shows and I know we always went to the 9 o’clock one. I think the other one was at 7 but I could be wrong.
@@lindsayslivealittlethank you! We are scheduled to go on the ship with our 16 year old daughter in January 2026.
I hope you guys love it and have a fantastic time!

Yum. I'm a pretty basic eater but this video makes me want to try new foods. Even if they do look weird. haha.
You would be surprised!
Thanks
yourr video is soooo amazing.
Thank you so much! Thanks for watching!
How does Explora compare to something like the Haven?
We will do a complete review and compare a bit in a week or so. But overall it is just another level. While you may not get a butler service in the entry level, the entire ship feels like you are in the Haven or Retreat no matter where you are.
IPA on explora?
They were out of all of them!
Did you need reservations for all of the dining?
They do ask for reservations in advance. However, we found it very easy to adjust onboard when necessary.
Thank you just booked a trip for 2026.
Hope you have a fantastic time!
Thanks....... What's the difference with MSC YACHT CLUB ?
It is just taken everything up several notches across the board. From the rooms, drinks, food and service it just feels steps above the Yacht Club. Now it is definitely more expensive than the Yacht Club but you can feel where they have spent that money.
So all the restaurants except Anthology are included?
That is correct
Was there a kids menu available?
No dedicated kids menu. But you can practically ask the chefs for anything and they will come up with something.

This will help everyone. Thank you!
