Last weekend I was able to setup my wondrous tails but I was wondering where Viper was and hopefully it is in Ul’duh. I main a reaper so I wanted to do Viper first and Pictomancer second.
I got my WT prepped… but I didn’t log out in Ul’Dah I was a dummy and logged out in Old Sharylan looking out into the ocean cause I wanted to be symbolic and artsy… I’m a dummy.
What I plan is to actually try to make friends xD in the whole time I have played I never made a friend Not that I have come across negativity, I just don’t talk, and it makes endgame group content very hard being alone 😭
When I was on the free trial I was so lonely in this game. Just me and my chocobo. 😂 I didn't start making friends until I bought the game and joined an FC.

Same. Early access and launch just happens to land at the same time as I'm moving to a different town so I will be behind. But I'm in no rush tbh. Still really hope to have at least unlocked Viper before tho.
lol that's how I was with Endwalker! Problem was, ShadowBringers was so good you just can't hurry it. Of course, I finished SB and Endwalker as a Reaper so...good trade.😉
Endwalker sucks. The journey is not worth the time invested. The storyline and gameplay put me in the mind of a DnD group who's just ready for the campaign to end, so they're just phoning everything in super hard. Buy a skip and watch an Endwalker explained video, you'll thank me later. Post-endwalker is a treasure and a gem. Play that instead.
I disagree with others here. Endwalker is an extremely emotional journey. I've never watched once person play through it online or offline that didn't cry near the end. Endwalker was AMAZING! Dawntrail seems like it's the break after the emotional toll that EW takes you through.
I have this weird feeling that most of my plans are gonna be waiting in that pesky login queue. But once I do get through and if I can manage to stay connected I’ll be doing the Viper story . I prepped 30 EW quests to turn in, Wonderous Tails books and the challenge log. I want to get Viper to 100 before doing MSQ.
Prepped all the Sacks of nuts for hunts. Cleaned some inventory. Prepped the challenge log for ez exp turn ins. did Wondrous Tales. Logged out in Gridania ready to become a Pictomancer main! So very ready for DT.
I’m happy to hear we’re both taking our time, Zepla! Personally, I’m going to spend the next couple days leveling Viper and Pictomancer before diving into the MSQ.

Bought all the 80 scouting tomestone gear a couple months ago. Materia is good to go too. Logged out in Uldah, ready to switch from Ninja to Viper main.
I've loved the story in FFXIV, it's the main draw for me. Never skipped a single cutscene. Until Dawntrail. An obnoxious amount of filler, plot holes the size of Texas, pacing way off (especially in the final zone) and a WOL who may aswell not even be there.
After the servers go up, I will immediately level up Viper/Picto and my gatherers! I also need to readjust some glam and then I'll go into the MSQ! I'm still prepping food, drinks and all so I can have no restrictions on playtime :P
@@AliB333 Yeah we will have to do the MSQ in order to access the new gatherables! But I want to use my leves for leveling and I have prepared some in advance! :D I also prepared tribal quests and all, so at least the progress will be faster ^^
I did zero prep. I don't remember where I logged out. I plan to do NOTHING with the game for probably about two weeks. I'm one of the half dozen ffxiv players with the mystical thing known as a "full-time job" and "obligations". This means I don't want to spend my scant and valuable free time battling the nolifers in the logon queue. So I'm gonna just let them get their tea so they can finish MSQ and all raids and all side content and all dungeons and fully level both new classes. I'll know the coast is clear for me once people start complaining about running out of things to do. Should probably only take about 2 weeks.

One reason I play multiple toons is that I get the MSQ more than once so I catch what I missed my first time. Sometimes it's little stuff but sometimes I say, "How'd I miss that?" For instance, the rejoinings and how they work and why the Void was a failed rejoining. Totally missed it the first time.
@@craigpridemore7566 wow, that's crazy to me, I don't think I could do that, since I'm not that much of a single player gamer. Admirable dedication! I just rush it usually to be ready for raid or whatever content I want to do with my friends. It makes me miss stuff for sure, but I won't go back for it either usually. Luckily we also got more time before savage drops after normal raids, so I will be a bit more relaxed with that as well. ^-^
I spent Tuesday night prepping to level Viper... I have all EXP-rewarding challenge log prepped & Wondrous Tails, to power-level Viper (if I enjoy it). Logged out where Viper unlock quest starts. I also want to see the new items in Gold Saucer, Wolves' Den & ARR allied shops since the patch notes didn't elaborate. Might be Virtu gear for new classes? 🤞 Then I'll jump into MSQ, either after leveling Viper to 90 (again, if I enjoy it) or just play as DRG or WHM.
Currently in queue suffering from ff14 withdrawals since the 26'th... I spent the last minutes before the maintenance leveling Paladin through ShB, and the first things I'm gonna do when I get in is check out the graphical update and see what my lalafell looks like after the makeover, then get that free fantasia and perhaps think of a race change into a bunny boy and try that out for a while. Then I'm gonna try pictomancer and viper :)
First thing, I'm going to take picto and viper into earlier dungeons (lvl 50 or so) and work them up, so I can familiarize myself with the mechanics a little at a time, kind of like how they added things as you went on your first play-thru. If all those spells and abilities are thrown at me all at once, 1) i won't optimize my usage and 2) I'll be curled up in a corner sucking my thumb...
the introduction quest usually just throws lot of action buttons at you and pokes you to fight some crazy enemies next minute. me hopes SE does some hand holding this time and explains the job a bit longer and better.
i went full overachiever mode: i have WT preped, 6 or 7 challenge log challenges prepped, 26 side quests complete, drank a fantasia and logged out next to the Picto quest NPC
to Prepare the amount of grinding i did FINALLY leveling my gatherers (but also made a lil coin)... but i def prepared a tails and logged off in gridania to get my first magic main EVER haha. Ill fully be hopping into palace of the dead for my light brush before msq and of course leveling TwT. see you all soon!
I finished a couple crafting relics, cleaned my inventory up as best I could (almost 3 tabs of bag space, woo! Just don't look at my retainers or chocobag 😅) and spent almost the entire day grinding CC to get from series level 15 to 25 before servers went down. Got my attire coffer though, so now I just hope I can eventually swap out the red with the 2nd dye channel! Thanks so much for all of the awesome content you've given us buns over the years. 💜 I look forward to seeing what DT has in store for us all!
This expansion launch I will be playing with my daughter watching! While I'm sure being able to play extended times of MSQ will not be as easy it's incredible to think I'm taking this new journey in game, now as a father! Beyond excited!
I've heard quite a few streamers who aren't going to be doing the MSQ until at least full release and I genuinely think that's a really cool move on all of their parts

So I got a full set of Ninja gear for my Viper (so...many...Tomestones...), whipped up some proper buff food, unlocked the Arkasodara dailies for some quick and easy XP, did a ton of crafting in hopes of making some easy gil, and told my family I'd see them Monday...Dad's gotta put his WoL boots on.
I tried to level a ninja and machinist but fell just short by eight levels 😢 a lot of fates and dungeons and tribe quests. Got all my other classes and jobs leveled and a journal to level Viper. I think I’m gonna MSQ with Viper. So, leveling that will be my first task
Just one word: Glamour XD Probably gonna spend the WHOLE of Friday figuring out what has the 2 dye slots already and coming up with epic new outfits for my snarky-ass catboi XD
This one is tough for me, as I don’t feel nearly excited for Dawntrail as I did for Endwalker. Maybe it is the story not having anything I have previously invested in (huge problem for me with Shadowbringers) but also in the last few months I have come up with 15+ glam ideas that I love and collected pieces here and there for. But I realized that we may not get more glamour plates for a few patches, and maybe not even this whole expansion. I play on Balmung and my toon is an Idol- so having as many cool themed costume changes as I can is why I play, so this has me bummed out.
Your channel is my medicine. Very excited to start Dawntrail and watch your stream. I'm doing story right away, not for spoiler avoiding but because i am actually curious on where the story will go with this new arch after EW. Plus the new graphics update almost makes it feel like this is ARR 2, but bigger and even better
Completed 6.0, so I will be working through the patches (and getting exp from them??) on main jobs, finished a wondrous tales book and will probably do Endwalker side quests with the new class(es)! Othe than that, enjoying our summer vacay!
Gonna be pushing MSQ HARD as to not get spoiled on discussions. For EW and ShB, I was able to "dual" level 2 jobs off the MSQ with full rest experience, so my plan is to level my main DRK and simultaneously leveling SMN/SCH, which just so happen to be my main DPS and Healer jobs. I would just ding a level and then swap jobs and continue doing MSQ and it was usually enough XP to get away with it. Though there was a few times where it didn't QUITE make it in which case a side quest or 2 or a dungeon run would make up the difference. Then bam, all three roles have a capped job. And I'm able to engage in MSQ discussions! Then I plan on going back and leveling whatever strikes my fancy at that moment, looking forward to viper potentially. Also planning to stay on top of the extreme mount grinds this expansion, because I always clear it a few times and then circle back later to farm them but I love the whole wings mount concept.
Woundrous Tales and Log prepped, sitting at Viper spot. Full on the poetics and planning on focusing on viper, unlocking the picto. Then I will go into deep dungeons with my friend who will play picto. She has lower weapons so we can see first and final stage for those weapons. So we can see if they are worth it
Ground out Poetics to grab all the gear for VPR and PIC. Logged out in Eulmore so I can grab both weapons asap. My alt character is logged out in an inn so she can undergo a makeover with Frothgar coming out. My main does need a minor makeover but I'm not prioritizing that at this time. Gonna get the new jobs and maybe start MSQ if my roommates are on the ball with their game.
I just started again a few months ago...but my wife started a char...so I havent played either of my 90 chars..well, ever since my wife started playing. We had to wait for dawntrail, for her to have access to shadowbringers, endwalker, etc. So we will be starting on shadowbringers when servers come up. First time for her, and I am excited to see how she likes it, it was one of my favorites story wise.
I got my first Anima weapon done couple days before maintenance! \o/ And im still at Strormblood (after 1000hours) so I dont know if im gonna login the first couple of days because Im not doing the new content. There is one spot more for you Dawntrail enjoyers! ❤
I thought about taking off work on Friday but I decided against it because it would just be waiting in the queue all day and getting disconnected. Decided it would better use of my time to volunteer and work with kids that day. Why rush to the destination when the beauty is in the adventure.
My main is in the middle of Shadow Bringers so I'm behind in the story, but I did hit lvl 90 so I put him on hold and spent the last 3 days working on 2 of my alts and their crafting.
I prepped my WT but don't have the extra points, I had my pvp done early but didn't get it done on my alts but that's fine, I didn't clean my inventory that much. What I did that I'm really proud of tho is I decorated my FC house on Dynamis that hadn't had much love in about a year since we first got it (we got it when the servers first came out thinking it'd be the dynamis branch of our FC but no one plays there, and I moved my main there just for rewards and mean to move again so I'm the only one really) and I decorated it for my friends who have to go raid on Dynamis so they have a nice place to hang out if they want. So I did that the past 2 days instead of trying to get more WT points, and I did so much datacenter travel to do it. So my plan for Dawntrail is taking pictures of the finished house to compare the graphics update and add 300 more items because I hit the item cap. I just seem to want to tell anyone who will listen about it because I'm just that proud I got it done. Edit: found out more housing item slots doesn't happen until later. Still really happy.
I leveled a EU character to 80 so i can start with and learn Viper while doing the Endwalker and Dawntrail MSQ. Realized almost too late that the downtime is 48 hours, so i had to rush through SHB patches in 14 hours and was done 45 minutes before the servers went down.
I have been trying to do the grand company squadron stuff to raise my rank so I can buy the gamba boxes. But it took me about a week to level up the characters enough that FINALLY the Level 40 quest was all green across the board. It was submitted and it will be successful when I login. Then I can get on with my life. But I told myself that I am going to do all the side quests for mount flight in all the quest hubs that I come to WHILE I level this time around.
Just wondering about the mount. You need a twitch account right? Also is it an account wide mount or for one character only? I've never did anything like that before but I'm all in this time for just putting the phone away with the stream running 6h straight while playing Can't wait for the login wait game tomorrow 😂
I've preordered (because I wanted the items), but I won't be able to play during early access. This is partly because I'm busy with other stuff during the early access period, which will give me little time to play. I also need to catch up on the story (I have had a longer break), meaning I still have some distance to travel to the new content. But mostly because I'm currently waiting for a new PC as my old gaming rig is too weak to play Dawntrail (it doesn't even meet the lowest requirements). But I'm not complaining. I'm getting too old to rush through games anymore. I'd rather take my time and enjoy the journey while I derail here and there.
I’m planning on doing MSQ to unlock at least two areas with aether currents if possible. Then leveling up gathering for that early yet short spike in price for materials. Haha
The Mount at 2:00, its worth noting, if people dont want spoilers from streamers but they still want the mount, open a stream in browser and mute the stream!, then go do anything else while its open!
I'm planning on streaming the MSQ and running Warrior and Sage to 100 as fast as possible., knowing the DPS due is going to be horrible. That and Ather hunting so I can fly.
I just bought all expansions, my first gaming computer and I am ready to dive into this beautiful game! I am looking for a good server, good people to share adventures with and a good guild too! So, feel free to let me know if you guys have recommendations or anything for me ^^. I'd love a place to call home in my journeys!
I'm also planning to go through Dawntrail much more slowly than EW, while still hopefully dodging major spoilers (prayge). For EW, I took several days off of work and burned the MSQ and regional sidequests HARD for about 16 hours a day and ended up finishing in about 5 days. While I was glad this definitely DID let me avoid spoilers, I also didn't really enjoy the experience of hardcore no-lifing it like that as well as that meaning I once again had no new content for many weeks after that until the next patches started coming out. I'm not as excited for the Dawntrail narrative as I was for Endwalker, so I figure I can allow myself to take more time with it and enjoy the experience of having new content/story at a more "normal" rate, once again. I think for you as a content creator, though, it does make more sense to start a little later, because I think a lot of people will not be interested in watching streamers playthrough the MSQ until they themselves have gotten further than that point, so they can have their own authentic first-time experiences with their own characters. And I'm sure that's MEGA HARD as a content creator, because I'm sure you're dying to get into things as well.

As someone who always takes content slowly, I've never really had a problem with only clearing out no more than 1 of my 4 pages of inventory for looting purposes. I have 2 whole pages worth dedicated just for dyes just in case I want to switch up my glam. And I don't like storing dyes anywhere else because I don't want to have the extra step of clearing out my inventory and then moving the dyes over before I can start dying anything. Then moving the dyes back and then moving whatever else was in my inventory back once the dyes are gone. No. The dyes just stay in my inventory permanently.
Im just going to level Viper on Friday and Saturday. Sunday, I leave for vacation and won't get to play again until the 5th or 6th if im to tired from the journey home.
I completed WT, capped all my 90 tomestones, cleaned my inventory and made a killing selling onions! I also tried to tame my glam dresser, got discouraged and walked away... I guess I could get rid of all the hats I can't wear but I hope one day they'll let me wear them! See you all in Dawntrail! I returned 2 months ago, but on different server to play with friends. I just started Stormblood MSQ a week ago, I was hoping to catch up xD but unless I would get myself fired, I wouldn't be able to, though I hoped xD So all MSQ is SB, SHB and EW is ahead of me, I am hoping to jump on DT somewhere in 3rd quarter if I am lucky as with my wife "we are pregnant" and I may as well as start some statics with my child in the crib, cause i won't be sleeping much anyway xD
I'm going to choose Pictomancer too as it inspired me to paint in real life. I'm going to be dressed up as Adeline from the Kirby series and I even made a RL costume which my preschool nieces helped me muddy with paint to make it look authentic. (My sister, their mother, made the hat. ^_^) I'm going to be going through Endwalker as Pictomancer because the dreadful story deserves a little color. ^_^ Don't worry, I intend to max out all melee jobs in the future including Viper, Viper will be my main for Dawntrail and she is dressed up in the outfit of a Meso-American tourist. ^_^

I'm still in the middle of Endwalker MSQ. I'll just be completing that on my two main Jobs War and Ninja. War is currently 90. Ninja is 82. My slow burn play style continues. I'll probably be starting DT by 7.1 or close to it 😅 😂😅

I took friday off work, im gonna log in at 2am. or attempt to... lmao Im hoping the store maintenance ends soon because my wife's gametime ends on launch day, so might be a challenge for her to get 30 days on mog station in time for early access
I think I've pict the same priority as you... I did not do any prep (I've actually been unsubbed from the game long enough that I lost my house in Shirogane and missed the grace period to get my furniture)... so gonna take it slow.
14h to go for me. unless you can download that huge patch in time it is of no use to stare at the countdown IMHO. remember: everybody able to log in AND stay online AND does something takes precedence over late comers. there is a timer for lazy online players and they will be kicked for idle behaviour after 30 minutes, but otherwise it is _first come first serve_
Cleaned my inventory, got dressed in my Tural best, and packed up snacks and money for the road. All before taking a nap at the Baldesion Annex to be well rested for "vacation." 😀

Don't get the dying to new duties from everyone blind and fresh gear.

One reason I play multiple toons is that I get the MSQ more than once so I catch what I missed my first time. Sometimes it's little stuff but sometimes I say, "How'd I miss that?" For instance, the rejoinings and how they work and why the Void was a failed rejoining. Totally missed it the first time.

I just rush it usually to be ready for raid or whatever content I want to do with my friends. It makes me miss stuff for sure, but I won't go back for it either usually. Luckily we also got more time before savage drops after normal raids, so I will be a bit more relaxed with that as well. ^-^
I spent Tuesday night prepping to level Viper... I have all EXP-rewarding challenge log prepped & Wondrous Tails, to power-level Viper (if I enjoy it). Logged out where Viper unlock quest starts.
I also want to see the new items in Gold Saucer, Wolves' Den & ARR allied shops since the patch notes didn't elaborate. Might be Virtu gear for new classes? 🤞
Then I'll jump into MSQ, either after leveling Viper to 90 (again, if I enjoy it) or just play as DRG or WHM.
Currently in queue suffering from ff14 withdrawals since the 26'th... I spent the last minutes before the maintenance leveling Paladin through ShB, and the first things I'm gonna do when I get in is check out the graphical update and see what my lalafell looks like after the makeover, then get that free fantasia and perhaps think of a race change into a bunny boy and try that out for a while. Then I'm gonna try pictomancer and viper :)
First thing, I'm going to take picto and viper into earlier dungeons (lvl 50 or so) and work them up, so I can familiarize myself with the mechanics a little at a time, kind of like how they added things as you went on your first play-thru. If all those spells and abilities are thrown at me all at once, 1) i won't optimize my usage and 2) I'll be curled up in a corner sucking my thumb...
Same here. Having to get used to that many skills/abilities at once is intimidating to me.
the introduction quest usually just throws lot of action buttons at you and pokes you to fight some crazy enemies next minute.
me hopes SE does some hand holding this time and explains the job a bit longer and better.
i went full overachiever mode: i have WT preped, 6 or 7 challenge log challenges prepped, 26 side quests complete, drank a fantasia and logged out next to the Picto quest NPC
to Prepare the amount of grinding i did FINALLY leveling my gatherers (but also made a lil coin)... but i def prepared a tails and logged off in gridania to get my first magic main EVER haha. Ill fully be hopping into palace of the dead for my light brush before msq and of course leveling TwT. see you all soon!
I finished a couple crafting relics, cleaned my inventory up as best I could (almost 3 tabs of bag space, woo! Just don't look at my retainers or chocobag 😅) and spent almost the entire day grinding CC to get from series level 15 to 25 before servers went down. Got my attire coffer though, so now I just hope I can eventually swap out the red with the 2nd dye channel!

This expansion launch I will be playing with my daughter watching! While I'm sure being able to play extended times of MSQ will not be as easy it's incredible to think I'm taking this new journey in game, now as a father! Beyond excited!

So I got a full set of Ninja gear for my Viper (so...many...Tomestones...), whipped up some proper buff food, unlocked the Arkasodara dailies for some quick and easy XP, did a ton of crafting in hopes of making some easy gil, and told my family I'd see them Monday...Dad's gotta put his WoL boots on.
Going straight in to the MSQ, got all my inventory space cleared up and food/ fc buffs ready to go 💚
I tried to level a ninja and machinist but fell just short by eight levels 😢 a lot of fates and dungeons and tribe quests. Got all my other classes and jobs leveled and a journal to level Viper. I think I’m gonna MSQ with Viper. So, leveling that will be my first task
Just one word: Glamour XD Probably gonna spend the WHOLE of Friday figuring out what has the 2 dye slots already and coming up with epic new outfits for my snarky-ass catboi XD
This one is tough for me, as I don’t feel nearly excited for Dawntrail as I did for Endwalker.
Maybe it is the story not having anything I have previously invested in (huge problem for me with Shadowbringers) but also in the last few months I have come up with 15+ glam ideas that I love and collected pieces here and there for.
But I realized that we may not get more glamour plates for a few patches, and maybe not even this whole expansion. I play on Balmung and my toon is an Idol- so having as many cool themed costume changes as I can is why I play, so this has me bummed out.
I'm also gonna take things slow cause I'll savor every new thing I experience! So much excitement heading into the expansion! 🙌✨✨✨

I'm doing story right away, not for spoiler avoiding but because i am actually curious on where the story will go with this new arch after EW. Plus the new graphics update almost makes it feel like this is ARR 2, but bigger and even better
Completed 6.0, so I will be working through the patches (and getting exp from them??) on main jobs, finished a wondrous tales book and will probably do Endwalker side quests with the new class(es)! Othe than that, enjoying our summer vacay!
I cant wait to see all the old zones with new graphics! Then level chipmonk > funbreaker > summonher.
Gonna be pushing MSQ HARD as to not get spoiled on discussions. For EW and ShB, I was able to "dual" level 2 jobs off the MSQ with full rest experience, so my plan is to level my main DRK and simultaneously leveling SMN/SCH, which just so happen to be my main DPS and Healer jobs. I would just ding a level and then swap jobs and continue doing MSQ and it was usually enough XP to get away with it. Though there was a few times where it didn't QUITE make it in which case a side quest or 2 or a dungeon run would make up the difference. Then bam, all three roles have a capped job. And I'm able to engage in MSQ discussions! Then I plan on going back and leveling whatever strikes my fancy at that moment, looking forward to viper potentially. Also planning to stay on top of the extreme mount grinds this expansion, because I always clear it a few times and then circle back later to farm them but I love the whole wings mount concept.

Woundrous Tales and Log prepped, sitting at Viper spot. Full on the poetics and planning on focusing on viper, unlocking the picto. Then I will go into deep dungeons with my friend who will play picto. She has lower weapons so we can see first and final stage for those weapons. So we can see if they are worth it
Ground out Poetics to grab all the gear for VPR and PIC. Logged out in Eulmore so I can grab both weapons asap. My alt character is logged out in an inn so she can undergo a makeover with Frothgar coming out. My main does need a minor makeover but I'm not prioritizing that at this time. Gonna get the new jobs and maybe start MSQ if my roommates are on the ball with their game.
I just started again a few months ago...but my wife started a char...so I havent played either of my 90 chars..well, ever since my wife started playing. We had to wait for dawntrail, for her to have access to shadowbringers, endwalker, etc. So we will be starting on shadowbringers when servers come up. First time for her, and I am excited to see how she likes it, it was one of my favorites story wise.
I got my first Anima weapon done couple days before maintenance! \o/ And im still at Strormblood (after 1000hours) so I dont know if im gonna login the first couple of days because Im not doing the new content. There is one spot more for you Dawntrail enjoyers! ❤
I thought about taking off work on Friday but I decided against it because it would just be waiting in the queue all day and getting disconnected.
Decided it would better use of my time to volunteer and work with kids that day.

My main is in the middle of Shadow Bringers so I'm behind in the story, but I did hit lvl 90 so I put him on hold and spent the last 3 days working on 2 of my alts and their crafting.
I prepped my WT but don't have the extra points, I had my pvp done early but didn't get it done on my alts but that's fine, I didn't clean my inventory that much. What I did that I'm really proud of tho is I decorated my FC house on Dynamis that hadn't had much love in about a year since we first got it (we got it when the servers first came out thinking it'd be the dynamis branch of our FC but no one plays there, and I moved my main there just for rewards and mean to move again so I'm the only one really) and I decorated it for my friends who have to go raid on Dynamis so they have a nice place to hang out if they want. So I did that the past 2 days instead of trying to get more WT points, and I did so much datacenter travel to do it. So my plan for Dawntrail is taking pictures of the finished house to compare the graphics update and add 300 more items because I hit the item cap. I just seem to want to tell anyone who will listen about it because I'm just that proud I got it done.
Edit: found out more housing item slots doesn't happen until later. Still really happy.
I leveled a EU character to 80 so i can start with and learn Viper while doing the Endwalker and Dawntrail MSQ. Realized almost too late that the downtime is 48 hours, so i had to rush through SHB patches in 14 hours and was done 45 minutes before the servers went down.
Definitely leveling Pictomancer first. I can't wait to log in and see my HD catgirl!

I have been trying to do the grand company squadron stuff to raise my rank so I can buy the gamba boxes. But it took me about a week to level up the characters enough that FINALLY the Level 40 quest was all green across the board. It was submitted and it will be successful when I login. Then I can get on with my life. But I told myself that I am going to do all the side quests for mount flight in all the quest hubs that I come to WHILE I level this time around.
Just wondering about the mount. You need a twitch account right? Also is it an account wide mount or for one character only? I've never did anything like that before but I'm all in this time for just putting the phone away with the stream running 6h straight while playing

I've preordered (because I wanted the items), but I won't be able to play during early access.
This is partly because I'm busy with other stuff during the early access period, which will give me little time to play. I also need to catch up on the story (I have had a longer break), meaning I still have some distance to travel to the new content. But mostly because I'm currently waiting for a new PC as my old gaming rig is too weak to play Dawntrail (it doesn't even meet the lowest requirements).
But I'm not complaining. I'm getting too old to rush through games anymore. I'd rather take my time and enjoy the journey while I derail here and there.

I’m planning on doing MSQ to unlock at least two areas with aether currents if possible. Then leveling up gathering for that early yet short spike in price for materials. Haha

I just bought all expansions, my first gaming computer and I am ready to dive into this beautiful game! I am looking for a good server, good people to share adventures with and a good guild too! So, feel free to let me know if you guys have recommendations or anything for me ^^. I'd love a place to call home in my journeys!
I'm also planning to go through Dawntrail much more slowly than EW, while still hopefully dodging major spoilers (prayge). For EW, I took several days off of work and burned the MSQ and regional sidequests HARD for about 16 hours a day and ended up finishing in about 5 days. While I was glad this definitely DID let me avoid spoilers, I also didn't really enjoy the experience of hardcore no-lifing it like that as well as that meaning I once again had no new content for many weeks after that until the next patches started coming out. I'm not as excited for the Dawntrail narrative as I was for Endwalker, so I figure I can allow myself to take more time with it and enjoy the experience of having new content/story at a more "normal" rate, once again.
I think for you as a content creator, though, it does make more sense to start a little later, because I think a lot of people will not be interested in watching streamers playthrough the MSQ until they themselves have gotten further than that point, so they can have their own authentic first-time experiences with their own characters. And I'm sure that's MEGA HARD as a content creator, because I'm sure you're dying to get into things as well.
Expac launches are more impactful to me than xmas at this point lmao, couldn't sleep at all!

As someone who always takes content slowly, I've never really had a problem with only clearing out no more than 1 of my 4 pages of inventory for looting purposes. I have 2 whole pages worth dedicated just for dyes just in case I want to switch up my glam. And I don't like storing dyes anywhere else because I don't want to have the extra step of clearing out my inventory and then moving the dyes over before I can start dying anything. Then moving the dyes back and then moving whatever else was in my inventory back once the dyes are gone. No. The dyes just stay in my inventory permanently.
Im just going to level Viper on Friday and Saturday. Sunday, I leave for vacation and won't get to play again until the 5th or 6th if im to tired from the journey home.
My bags are clean, WT is ready, and now I just need to make a snack run to the store. ❤ I'm ready!
I completed WT, capped all my 90 tomestones, cleaned my inventory and made a killing selling onions! I also tried to tame my glam dresser, got discouraged and walked away... I guess I could get rid of all the hats I can't wear but I hope one day they'll let me wear them! See you all in Dawntrail! I returned 2 months ago, but on different server to play with friends. I just started Stormblood MSQ a week ago, I was hoping to catch up xD but unless I would get myself fired, I wouldn't be able to, though I hoped xD So all MSQ is SB, SHB and EW is ahead of me, I am hoping to jump on DT somewhere in 3rd quarter if I am lucky as with my wife "we are pregnant" and I may as well as start some statics with my child in the crib, cause i won't be sleeping much anyway xD

I'm going to choose Pictomancer too as it inspired me to paint in real life. I'm going to be dressed up as Adeline from the Kirby series and I even made a RL costume which my preschool nieces helped me muddy with paint to make it look authentic. (My sister, their mother, made the hat. ^_^) I'm going to be going through Endwalker as Pictomancer because the dreadful story deserves a little color. ^_^
Don't worry, I intend to max out all melee jobs in the future including Viper, Viper will be my main for Dawntrail and she is dressed up in the outfit of a Meso-American tourist. ^_^

unless you can download that huge patch in time it is of no use to stare at the countdown IMHO.
remember: everybody able to log in AND stay online AND does something takes precedence over late comers. there is a timer for lazy online players and they will be kicked for idle behaviour after 30 minutes, but otherwise it is _first come first serve_
