Nice camper Brian, you kept talking about the Cardinal at your mirror and window. I don’t know if you believe in the spirits, but if you see a Red Cardinal it’s usually a loved one who passed away.

Brian, thank yo so much for the content. I very much enjoy watching you do this exact type of camping. I'm getting a little older, and stiffer which is making setting up a tent (and everything that goes with it) a bit of a deterrent from getting out and enjoying the outdoors. I'd love to do a setup like this, but I'm not much of a handyman. For now, I'm enjoying this lifestyle vicariously through you and others. And maybe someday... PS - I'm also a fellow Texan (Just NE of Dallas), and I don't think I could do camping in a truck bed about 80% of the year (at least not without some type of AC)!

just a note: If you hook-up to shore power, especially at those pedestals, you may want to get used to metering the output volts on the shore power before plugging into it with your truck or any inverters. Just a reminder that campsites are not created equal and many sites are old or not kept in good repair. No doubt you know all this already but making it reflex is key.

Hi Brian - outstanding to see you take this setup on it's maiden voyage! Question, when you said it wasn't so comfortable what do you think you could do/improve to make it better? Fire bans are such a pain - but I guess having the state on fire is worse... It seemed like the entire state was on fire last year (California for me) AND the area I normally would go got destroyed (disperse camping). Pretty depressing - kind of annoying though with other people completely ignore the bans...

Thanks for the comment👍🏻 I am in the process of modifying my bed to allow for more “stretch out” room and should make things a lot more comfortable. Hopefully get that video posted up this week and I’ll go into more detail.

I realize that now. I swear years ago when I was there they didn’t sell them. Oh well, this bottle should last my old ass a long time👍🏻

There is no way I'd have the shore power hookup from under the vehicle. In the dark, in rainy weather, muddy or cold ground. I understand you didn't want to spoil the body of the truck but perhaps on the cap or end of running boards, but lying on the ground is fine.. until it isn't. I like the work you've done, wiring is especially nice. I've wanted to do a truck type overnight camper got some good ideas from you, thanks.
