After watching, I'm curious, couldn't you have just checked to see if you could run a cold/cd load without the electrical test on the valve motor? I'm not criticising, I'm just curious.

No I didn't have to test it. I know for sure it would work on cold cycle only. The reason I tested is to show what it should look like when it's not broken
