This looks like the Holy Grail of task managers. As you mention, notes are often what generate tasks, and our calendar is a logical place to put some of our tasks. Thanks for your video!

Your explanation for the task scores is so helpful. I was really perplexed by it and almost thought not to continue with Amplenote - but wow, that is so clever! And the hiding tasks (postponing with specific times) is brilliant!

I have a bit of a hard time with the idea of having tasks and notes in one app. It's something I don't like in the newer Evernote either. But yes, it makes sense to have them together. Maybe it's more because of how the app implements it and how the workflow is. It seems like Amplenote has found a good (and better) way to implement this. I will definitely give it a try.... and thanks for the video ;)

    • @Simpletivity

You are most welcome. I've often had the same feeling (and have never liked including my tasks in Evernote). But as you mentioned, AmpleNote gives us a clean way of still keeping them separate when we want them to be.

Same, i don't like it either, i use Notion and they have reminders, but i'm not gonna try setting up a system for it. I'm going to use another app like ticktick with native tools that automatically do what i want instead of setting it up myself. Any suggestions? :)

This is a great review of this app and those problems are the very ones that cause so many issues for me. One of the bigger issues I have right now is that I work for a large medical organization that is constantly striving to maintain security within its system. This makes it impossible to install anything within the internal systems that I work within. Getting something like this installed properly to include my calendar would be impossible. Without that functionality, I am not sure it would be as effective. I wasn't quite sure if there was a web version or just the PC/Mac OS installs?

I worked on it over the weekend and went live Monday morning. So far, so good. It took a bit more learning than other systems might, but it is worth the effort. It is visually unstructured, but the user can employ a good tags system and sorting to lean into the power of the software.

Very interesting. However I miss some features from Evernote :
    1) Import folders : "hot folders" on Windows. Everything you drop there Evernote "swallows" and transform into a Note.
    2) Search capabilities, mostly content inside PDFs. I use that quite a lot. Also search (OCR) inside images and handwritten text.
As for TickTick, it do seems very compatible and better on some features.
    Thanks !

@@SimpletivityI have been looking since 2016 for a basic note app for any kind of writing app that lets you plan out a project that's complex in the form of outlines and intermix tasks inside the outline, that sync both ways with Todoist. So I can plan a huge outline project with some writing app, and within that outline create various tasks to various projects or even to just one project within Todoist. When I complete a task in Todoist, it strikes out the task in the writing app. When I complete the task in the written outline app, it strikes out the task in the outline, and complete the task in Todoist. I can macro plan in the writing tool app, while seeing all of my tasks with reminders and scheduling Etc in the very slick and efficient todoist app. I have been begging to do is to make a simple text tool that used their to do with markup language that could simply make outlines to start with where you could inline tasks assigned to different projects either pre-created or created within the writing space. I think it would be an unbelievable addition to the native todoist software offering especially on desktop views. Do you know of anything like this?
