*Honest Thoughts* - I think people that are continuously judging the music are not focused on the actual content. Listen, the music fits the purpose. Of course, other types of music could work too. Let's just appreciate what this dude is doing for the Community of people wanting to be more productive with their lives. He is also extremely dedicated to this journey. You can see how passionate he is about being productive through all of his content. The fact that Productivity isn't being talked about as much in 2024 which is sad to see in all honesty; this dude is carrying this! The music is fine. Stop hating! Anyway, I really appreciate this video. It's another AWESOME addition to your content, Franceso. (I hope I remembered your name correctly) Anyway, keep up the incredible work dude! May I ask when the TOP APPS of 2023 video is coming too? ❤
Wow! This video is a perfect example on how you entice your audience while delivering the best information for each product! I’m not surprised your channel has grown significantly! You are a Hidden Gem! 😍
That was one of the premises of Things 3 at the time that really caught my eye-it captured a Deadline and a Do date, which kept it really simple as opposed to having to CONSTANTLY move the Due date later, then having to type the ACTUAL due date in the notes to remember when the deadliest deadline is…
@@zomkila You need a todo app that supports “block scheduling” like maybe Todoist or ticktick, but honestly block scheduling can be done with any calendar like the google calendar app either
Hihi.. this video was shared with me when I told my friends that I wanted to be more productive this year. It's my first time stepping into the world of productivity. I've never felt so excited! I feel I learned so much from this video! Tysm! I would like to support the channel further. May I ask if you will make a video for beginners? I'm someone that has no experience in this. It's very overwhelming as a new person to productivity. My english isn't great but I try my best.. I hope you can make a video for beginners 😢
I somehow can’t find what I really need, An robust app easy for beginners and gets more use when you learn more, In which I’m able to share them for other friends, whom are trying a to do list for the first time, to add on their personal lists. And be able to download attachments. A necessity is to attach some specific PDFs to a specific card and specific checklists. So here is what I’m doing I’m studying for final rerun due the next 40 days. - 3 modules, each have a theoretical and practical exams. - Both exams are on the same day. - Both have curriculum selections. - Theoretical exam has MCQs section and written section. With their selections and pdfs - Practical, ditto.
Can you list to-do apps by ease of adding new items. And if they have a web app (or browser extension)? I hear Things 3 is really awesome at being able to quickly add an item but I'm an Android user. I do have a personal iPad I use for work, but work in an enterprise environment and can't install applications on My work computer, so it would be nice to know if I can manage my list via browser extension. I have Todoist, but find the UI overly complicated. Love your content, keep them coming!
Good vid, thanks, but a couple of things. 1. If there are 250+ to do list apps so a LOT of free ones, personally I can't see why anyone would want/need to pay money for one! So maybe separate vids (or more clarity) for free & paid-for apps would be helpful. Also, most of your vid shows the PC apps rather than the phone apps. In today's world won't most people be updating their to do list on their phone on the move, rather than sitting down at a desk & booting up a PC/laptop. That's so '90s! So maybe separate vids for the office workers sitting at desks tapping on their PCs & mobile/personal users who control their lives 100% through their phone apps would be useful. Thanks
This is merely more of a hook, whilst I've tried 250+, of course a lot of them aren't strong solutions like you say. I'd say around 100 are competitive.
@keepproductive I am looking for an application that could be used for consulting with about 40-50 separate projects at a time on the go. What would you recommend?
Music and sound effects seldom add anything and often are simply distractions. Newcomers to UA-cam seem more likely to fall intob this trap, but Francesco is a UA-cam veteran and should know better.
I understand what you mean. Perhaps less is more in terms of finding the seemingly elusive sweet spot. I do appreciate your reviews. Thank you and all best wishes for 2024!
1. Todoist, 2. AccuFlow, 3. TickTick, 4. Things 3, 5. Microsoft ToDo, 6. TimeStripe, 7. OmniFocus, 8. Motion, 9. Routine, 10. Structured, 11. Actions by Moleskine, 12. Sunsama. music was annoying, labelling the timestamps WRONG is even worse than not having timestamps. ugh. unsubbed.
Wow so many shit apps on this list. Cluttered confusing bullshit. Is it that hard to make an app where I can just make lists and check off the fucking boxes???
Great video! I'm not sure about the negative comments on the background music. I thought it was just fine and it did not take away from the information presented. Good job and thanks!
Does security factor in these reviews? There are concerns regarding TickTick user data. The company is extremely secretive and it seems like their servers and staff might be based in Taiwan although they insist that this is not the case.
Security is different for each person and we’re not security experts, so it’s important are happy with the requirements they need. For helpfulness, I’ve actually spoken to the team on calls, they are very quiet.
6:12 It’s good to see Microsoft To Do on the list. On its own, it is basic in functionality. Together with Outlook and it’s My Day panel, it becomes a useful time-blocking tool. I also like the Assigned to me list that shows tasks from Planner plans. But I do want better filters for that list.
In my honest opinion, it stands out as the best option due to its absence of advertisements, lack of pop-ups to buy this or that, and the availability of a native app rather than a web app. And also It makes me laught that some apps here in the list just charge to show notification and remainder lol. From a privacy perspective, I find it preferable to entrust my metadata and IP address to Microsoft, a well-established company, rather than to newer, less-known entities
It's super helpful that you put this together, thank you, but please bear in mind the people who may most need a life-organising app are going to be ND and particularly sensitive to distractions, that's why we're here! So please, please consider losing the epic music and whooshy sound effects, and any other auditory clutter that doesn't need to be there. We're already trying our best just to focus on what you're saying. ;)
You always leave out a lot of TickTick’s features, like the Eisenhower Matrix and pomodoro timer + white noise, not to mention the entire section it has for Markdown notes (and creating sticky notes). I know you can’t do a complete rundown of everything in an app, but it’s weird to kinda boil TickTick down as the one that’s a good calendar all-rounder when at this point it’s more a general productivity all-rounder (that also happens to be great at task management).
🤷♂️ How do you leave Google's Tasks off the list? Just the fact that it is Google and it directly integrates with Google Assistant should automatically put it on the list. I'm not saying it's an amazing app but it's certainly as good or better than Microsoft To Do.
Google Tasks is in NO way better than Microsoft Todo. I’ve tried them both out (I’m a TickTick user, mind), and while Todo still isn’t on par with Wunderlist despite how much it’s copied, at least you can create folders and sublists and have (to an extent) smart lists, and it’s easier to view like notes and subtasks etc. Google Tasks isn’t a task manager, which is the point of this roundup; it’s more your basic pencil and paper checklist, just as an app.
I hope any.do gets some love in a future video. I have been using it for a few months now and I feel like it is a very close competitor to things3, but actually has a few more innovative features and, crucially, isn't apple centric. I can't be alone thinking that most productivity nerds like us arent apple people?

The most AI centric one is Motion. More machine learning based on input and movement of tasks in calendar view.
