Good Afternoon my friends👋 let's not start an argument today

The Truman Show - "In case I don't see ya, good afternoon, good evening, & good night". Bows & leaves the stage. A Perfect Ending. 🙇🏿♂️
That final line was too cliche, but him reaching for the door was magical
*Truman
How was it cliche? It was the line he said at the start of every day. It's the first time he's saying it knowingly to an audience.
Damn shame that jim carrey didn’t win an Oscar for that movie
Andrew Niccol is a writing genius
The Shawshank Redemption has the most beautiful end for me , i cry every time
You are right. It's been one of my favorites for a while
He crys everytime

Seeing Red and Andy embrace on the beach in Zihuatanejo is so heartwarming, especially after decades of hardship that they went through to earn their happy endings. Happy tears all around. ❤
Gone with the Wind "Tomorrow is Another Day" line at the end of the movie not only gave Scarlett hope for seeing her lover again but it also gave hope to Depression sufferers.
Surprised this one did not make the list.
@@FishKepr Well it's obvious why. They quite frankly just didn't give a damn.
@kivulifenrir
😂
@@kivulifenrir
Good inside joke! 👍👍
Frankly, my dear, I don't give a damn. 😁
"I'll be right here." No matter how old I get, I never stop sobbing at ET and Elliott's final farewell. 💔😭
Et is a classic. It's still one of my favorites. I'm glad I was able to find it for 4$ in a store.
Same. I sobbed at 8 in the cinema in 1982. And I'm 50 now and it *still* gets me.
The final scene of Fallen was a total mind blower! That cat carrying the narrator/killer off; stroke of genius!
I think the ending to Avengers: Endgame is one of my fav endings. How it flows back in time to Cap & Peggy finally getting their dance, with the perfect song, "It's been a long, long time . . ." to the tribute end credits to all the main characters of the MCU . . . it was beautifully done
E.T was a very emotional satisfying ending. He finally went home
Invasion of the body snatchers with Donald Sutherland. Definitely an ending you won’t forget.
Yes, horror and gore and blood don’t scare me, but that movie is one I can’t watch again!
The last scene in A Dog's Purpose is perfect, everything ties together and it still leaves everything open for the 2nd movie.
The Fugitive - Richard Kimble finally clears his name Gerard finally laughs.
"I don't care."
After Kimble is taken into custody...
"I thought you said you didn't care."
Gerard laughs, so yes, a great ending.
The end of Schlindlers List when the families of the survivors place rocks on Oscars grave it was such a beautiful ending
I’m grieved that they didn’t include “The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance” in my humble estimation the greatest ending to a movie ever!
I have two good ones with Robin Williams. The end of Dead Poets Society “Captain My Captain”. The end of Good Will Hunting “Son of a bitch he stole my line”.
The ending of Blade Runner “ All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain. Time to die”.
The narration in Shawshank is a character all it's own and done masterfully by Morgan Freeman. 🙏❤️
Well, he is at least a god, if not the God.❤❤❤
At the end of The Thing, watch how Kurt Russel (who we know is human still) has breath steaming out of his mouth but Childs has nothing. Childs is infected! This is such a great movie.
I hadn’t noticed that the first dozen rimes i watched it until
It was pointed out in many commentary’s and was shocked at my missing that details
@@batgurrl
*times
I never noticed! Good eye.
Among my favorites: "The Manchurian Candidate" (1962) from director John Frankenheimer. Having killed his evil mother and step-father, we *think* POW veteran turned brain-washed assassin Raymond Shaw has finally found redemption. But he's terrified he hasn't. He instead commits suicide, stunning hero Frank Sinatra and the audience. The 2004 "remake" doesn't even rate as a shadow.
The ending of both versions of 12 Angry Men are awesome
In field of dreams, Ray's father coming out of the field was not the consolation prize. It was the point of building the field. "If you build it, he will come" does not refer to Shoeless Joe. It refers to Ray's father.
It helps to know the backstory of Ray and his father and them playing catch.
1.Citizen Kane when we finally find out what is Rosebud
2. Shane when he rides into the sunset.
It was a reason why Shane didn't answer the boy.
3. Fallen, the devil enter the cat.
Rolling Stones singing sympathy for the devil
3. All about Eve
4. Whatever happened to baby Jane.
Truman show has aged like a fine wine.
girl, you grew up in the eighties cuz you nailed it with every song. now im gonna have to go back and watch the full versions, nicely done
Shawshank is a Masterpiece of such unimaginable brilliance it should be considered a National Treasure!
Batman begins I never said thank you is basically all of us to Nolan for giving us this masterpiece and sequel that topped it off
How is "Dead Poets Society" not on this list?! When they stand on their desk, "Oh captain my captain", I still get teary just thinking about it. Not even an honorable mention?
As much as I love "The Shawshank Redemption" - the book ending was better. "I hope the pacific is as blue as it is in my dreams.....I hope". Then it ends....the reader is left with the IDEA that they meet again, but it is not certain...
I know it’s not the last scene, but when the T Rex faces the raptors in jurrassic park is legendary.
The 6th Sense: Everything adds up and both we, and the doctor learn that he was dead all along and also one of the many ghosts the kid sees. He gets a flashback of the night he was shot, along with the famous "I see dead people" monologue.
Once he realizes his work is done, he says goodbye to his sleeping wife and goes into the light.
Se7en "whats in the box!", Roy Batey's monologue in Blade Runner and the sixth sense i really thought would be on here
You missed another Humphrey Bogart Classic, The Maltese Falcon. "It's the stuff that dreams are made of."
Scarlett O'Hara, "Tomorow is another day." The reveal of the burning sled, Citizen Kane. Dorothy Gale, "Aunty M, there's no place like home." Tora, Tora, Tora, "I fear we have awakened a sleeping giant and fill him with a terrible resolve."
Optimus primes ending speech with what I’ve done playing in the background was just such a 👌 moment for the Bayverse transformers maybe coupled with starscream flying into space
How is Citizen Kane's ending not on here??!! The closing shot of the Rosebud sled answers the ENTIRE MOVIE!
Agreed!!
Man, I love the Truman Show ending!
"Good afternoon, good evening, and goodnight." Best final words to a perfect final scene.
"No, it wasn't the airplanes...it was beauty killed the beast." KING KONG, 1933 AND 2006
I was alone when I watched " The Sixth Sense" and the shock of seeing that ring roll across the floor was visceral. I kept turning, trying to find someone, yelling, " He's dead! Dear God, he's dead!!!" I'm usually really good at figuring out the end of a movie beforehand but that ending stayed with me for days.
"Silence of the Lambs"!
“I’m having an old friend for dinner.”
Incredible delivery, incredible implication. You’re onto something.
Casablanca had filmed its final scene. The Producers did not like the existing ending. Weeks later they shot that incredible new ending & cinema history was made.
Such a wholesome series of movie classics! Thank you for this list!
Mrs Doubtfire, a letter answered about the very nature of the film, divorce. I love it.
Casablanca impressed me in every way. Just like the Shawshank redemption, the Truman show and Inception.
In a action sense id have to say the end of Rogue One as pretty damn cool lol
@chriscripplercruz1833.... that's the only good part of that movie
The ending of Powder 1995 ❤😌
Did you all just forget Bruce Willis realizing that he was dead at the end of Sixth Sense?
The Others...Nicole Kidman performance and finale twist ending really stands out.
U forgot gladiator when he sees his family again that’s jus amazing
“I’m home. All this time, it was… We finally, really did it.” Dr. Zaius was right. Taylor didn’t like what he saw.
The actual ending of Pulp Fiction is Butch and Fabienne leaving town on a motorcycle.
FABIENNE: "Whos motorcycle is this?"
Butch:" Its a chopper."
Fabienne: "Who's chopper is it?"
Butch: "Zeds"
Fabienne: "who's Zed?'
Butch:" Zed's dead babe, Zed's dead...."
Fast five with everyone going their separate ways and enjoys their money it was supposed to be a great ending to the franchise
Inception, when the top is spinning and the audience is still in the dark about whether his kids are real or not, still blows my mind.
In my opinion you missed three. Guess Who's Coming To Dinner? The final soliloquy by Spencer Tracy was phenomenal. Your second miss was,To Sir, With Love. The second to last scene where the students give tribute to Sir with a ballot sung by the singer Lulu and then him tearing up his job offer to be an engineer was heartwarming. Your last miss was last seen in the film An Officer And A Gentleman. The very last scene where Zach comes into Paula’s factory to pick her up and carry her out as Joe Cocker sings Up Where We Belong.
The final scene in the movie Cruel Intentions was pretty iconic and tear-inducing as well.
Good choice!
Jack and Rose kissing at the end of Titanic on the landing of the Grand Starcase, with those around them applauding.
The final scene of Rossellini's The Flowers of Dt. Francis brings tears to my eyes.....Sublime
Can’t believe yall didn’t add The Dark Knight
Or Batman begins
Wow! Shawshank really tugs on the heartstrings ❤
Soylent Green. It's people you're eating people Soylent Green is people. Best ending
My favourite ending: "Which would be worse? To live as a monster or to die as a good man?" - Shutter Island
Disappointed neither the award ceremony from Star Wars or the Ark of the Covenant being crated away in a warehouse by "top men" from Raiders of the Lost Ark didn't make this list.
Great choices but lots of missings. Here are my picks (in chronological order):
1. "Yes, I can see now" - City Lights (1931);
2. "After all tomorrow is another day" - Gone with the Wind (1939);
3. Dorothy's home again - The Wizard of Oz (1939);
4. the Von Trapps in Switzerland - The Sound of Music (1965);
5. "Rocky, I love you!" - Rocky (1976);
6. "Bye" - Close Encounters of the Third Kind (1977);
7. the bat-signal - Batman (1989);
8. Keating's triumph - Dead Poets Society (1989);
9. "...in the name of my father and of the truth" - In the Name of the Father (1993);
10. a successful failure - Apollo 13 (1995);
11. "To the stars, Bowen. To the stars" - DragonHeart (1996);
12. "Now we are free" - Gladiator (2000);
13. "Who am I? I'm Spider-Man" - Spider-Man (2002);
14. "D. It is written" + Jai Ho dance number - Slumdog Millionaire (2008);
15. epilogue at King's Cross (19 years later) - Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2 (2011);
16. Peppy and George dancing in "Sparkle of Love" - The Artist (2011);
17. Mia and Sebastian's goodbye - La La Land (2016);
18. kiss underwater - The Shape of Water (2017).
A couple of Italian honorable mentions:
1. kisses on-screen - Cinema Paradiso (1988);
2. "We won" - Life is Beautiful (1997).
What about “Gone With the Wind”?!?? Absolutely an epic ending
@bigvinny2001.....frankly nobody gives a damn 😂😂😂
I'm surprised Dead Poets Society didn't make the list... or at least the honorable mention
I never saw any of the Final Destination movies, nor do I watch many movies, but I do read "movie spoiler" websites, and the idea that the final scene of FD5 was a surprise prequel to FD1 is amazing, and should be considered for this list.
Now you see me- the fifth horseman reveal
Did you know that in the 2002 20th anniversary version of E.T, the police officer's guns were replaced by walkie-talkies?
Strange days
The music, the kiss. Katherine Bigelow kicked it out of the park.
Final scene of Gladiator gets me every time
Really needs a part 2
Last scene in The Birds says it all.We birds own earth now.
A few best final scenes from my favorite movies are also (other then you have already listed in your video):
The Secret Life of Walter Mitty (2013)
Trainspotting (1996)
My Life (1993)
Hachi - A Dog's Tale (2009)
Blade Runner (1982)
I love the final scene in Midsommar.
The best closing scene of any movie is in Robin and Marian. Sean Connery and Audrey Hepburn. Just beautiful.
The Mist......one of the greatest.
Vader's rampage and the Rebel ship's escape, Rogue One
Gordon's monologue, The Dark Knight
Rocky and Adrian embrace, Rocky
2001 A Space Odyssey
Citizen Kane
Dr. Strangelove
Silence of the Lambs
Friday the 13th. (Not a big fan, but I do know what a good final scene it has).
Titanic (1953 and 1997), Back to the Future: Part III, Cruel Intentions, The Grey, Les Miserables, The Man in the Iron Mask, The Patriot (2000), Romeo & Juliet, The Sixth Sense, Sweeney Todd all have fantastic final scenes. Also Rocketman.
Have you or could you do 'opening' scenes? Such a scene, for me, Once Upon a Time in The West, Henry Fonda as a cold blooded killer. First movie I saw in a theater, as a kid, 'Planet of the Apes'. That ending really got me.
Big Fish had one of the best endings that made a lot of people cry for days. I have to put it in my top 10
The final shots from Terminator 3 always stay with me despite the mediocre movie….the nukes flying and score are great
Nice start of what was to come
(Very) Glaring omission:
The Bridge on the River Kwai!!
Some of my favorite endings are from Avengers: Endgame, Spider-Man: No Way Home, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, Barbie, and Oppenheimer
Tony’s I am iron man from the first was an epic ending to what was to come in the later years and again in endgame
I ❤️ you Americans for creating and producing so many fun, epic and emotionally movies. I can't describe my gratitude
Avengers: Endgame’s final scene because it had a satisfying conclusion to Steve Rogers’s character arc.
I’d also say Tony’s I am iron man in the first movie too
As a marvel fan, Steve Rodger’s dancing with Peggy Carter is awesome too!!!
the number 7th is my favourite. I love E.T.
Great list. Inception shouldve been higher. Saw had a great ending too
"The Breakfast Club" had an awesome ending 👍
Best final scene is amazing to watch as we watch to enjoy
WatchMojo I'll give you a lot that you missed
Silence Of the Lambs: Dr Lecter?
Schindler's List: Schindlerjuden Walks to Freedom
Gladiator: Maximus Kills Commodus
Forrest Gump: Feather Flies Away
Titanic: Jack and Rose Reunite
The Departed: Dignam Kills Sullivan
Amadeus: Mozart's Last Laugh
the one thing that irks me so much in the usual suspects is the shot of the skyline over the boat on fire that was supposed to be burning for MANY hours, but is clearly only a few minutes from the small size of the smoke plume. then again, maybe keyser soze was that good of a liar
Saving Private Ryan wasn't on this???? Well it might be just me, but when Tom Hanks is about to die, he whispers in Matt Damon's ear and says "Earn this". Then fast forwards to the older version of Matt Damon "Ryan" seeing that Hanks and guys sacrificed for his life. That always gets me going, only movie that gets tears in my eyes.
everything movies is best final scenes.😍😍😍
One of the best is at the end of The Searchers. Ethan returns Debbie home to civilization, but Ethan has served his purpose and does not fit into the civilized world so he watches through the doorway as everyone enters the home but Ethan, he smirks, turns around and walks away, forced to wander the between the winds like the Indian that had his eyes shot out by Ethan.
Excellent List, so glad Eternal Sunshine included here. Shawshank is one of the biggest heartwarming ends of all time. Most people, by now, have heard it was a box office and critical flop when released. Now its one of the most beloved films of all time. Fight Club end was fantastic and the choice of song was pure perfection. I love the end of Lost In Translation with the mysterious hug and whisper
Spartacus, when Kirk Douglas looks down and sees his son, who was born a free man. That scene makes me cry every time I see it.
The ending of Romeo Must Die when Han and Trish meet up after Han killed Kai and Mack is arrested for attempting to kill Isaac which fails
E.T.’s ending where he goes Home. What a tear jerker . Also the end of Big Dady when while Sonny doesen’t adopt Julian but becomes a really good friend of his . The part that hit me was when Julian was upset about Sonny not adopting him
The final scene from the film, The Quiet Earth(1985). Zac Hobson awakens on a beach somewhere, as the credits start to roll. You hear the sound of the waves on the shore. He looks over the water, towards the horizon. You see it. He sees it. He is a small dark silhouette, overwhelmed by what he see before him. The orchestral music comes up. The final scene shows the wonder and shock on his face.(No spoilers. Check out the New Zealand sci-fi film!)
I literally thought of The Shawshank Redemption and its the first scene of the video😊
