I did all the front windows of my house, also installed bright outside lights..so I still had same privacy at night. Great security upgrade.
Thats good to know about the outside lights. This is the best thing I have done for my house. Blocks out a lot of sun here in Florida!
Very informative!! Just the details I was looking for, thanks so much 🙏🏽
Your welcome
Glad I could help!
Yes this is exactly what I was looking for and the first video I watched. Very informative
Gees that is beautiful! I didn’t know it existed! I want it !
nice content
Thanks for watching
THANK YOU FOR THE UP CLOSE OUTSIDE VIEW!!
Your welcome. Its been doing really good. Its holding great. I really like this film a lot.
Thanks, not a lot of details on amazon about how it appears at night. I'm going to apply to my front window heats up the house with direct light. My only hesitation is I still want to see out at night, as well as if I should leave a 4 inch strip at the bottom so my dog can look out lol
You can see out at night. It really does block out the heat good.
I had the same concerns as others so I bought some put it on and had to do a video to share my thoughts and how well it works. I hope this videos helped
Let me know what you think later.
@@FloridaFamFive Just did it over the wknd, and so far it has kept my house quite cool. I was shocked. My dog is missing spot in the sun, so may trim off 3/4 of a foot off the bottom of the window. As for night time, When I close my blinds and look out, I can clearly see as the interior lights are blocked from hitting the window. Thanks again
@@justins4746 that's great. Im so happy your enjoying it. Keep me updated. I like to hear from people.
@@justins4746 if u have ur lights on during the night time can u see from the outside??
@@FloridaFamFive does it help with winter electric heater bills?
Great Vid...answers lots of questions, plus saves time and money.
I'm looking for that film where you can still see a clear picture outside your window and have a good amount of privacy, day or night with lights on inside the house.
This magical film may not exist yet.
I know a frost film would provide total privacy where no one could see in or out regardless if the lights are on inside the house at night...
Still looking for that happy medium...
I can see out good at night when I turn off the light. Any window you have even with no tint will be hard to see out at night when you have a light on. You still get a glare from the window reflection of the light you have in your room. I think people are thinking about this too much. At night you are not going to be looking outside. Mist people have blinds and curtains they close because we don't want people to see in at night. This is with no tint on the window. Unless you hear something to want to peek out window at night your not going to be look about window. You can see out with any tint unless you have a frosted tint. Good luck hopes this helps.
@@FloridaFamFive The concern is how well can someone see things inside the house with the lights on at night while standing outside the house looking in.
I don't know or have heard of a clear tint that will blur images while looking into the house from the outside, day or night, lights on of off.
Be nice if something like that was available....would be like having the best of both worlds.
@@TheClimb511 I know but this is not avaliable at this time.
With no tint and light on inside your house at night. How well can you see in your house?
@@FloridaFamFive You can see pretty well, even thru the window screens.
I haven't applied any tint to my windows yet, but we will be doing so in the near future.
I'm just trying to avoid wasting time and money on tint that's crap.
I don't just wanna buy any kind of tint that makes the claim that it's the best.
@@TheClimb511 I don't blame you. Sounds like me. I spent hours even days looking up and doing the research to make sure before I buy something. Im sure you will find something that will work good for you. I really like window tint on my windows at home and in my car as well. Not all tint is of good quality. Bad tint can make your window not look good. I seen bad tint crack and fade and sometimes just turn a different color. Good luck hope you find what your looking for. Let me know. Im always to help
Great Video. I should be doing this to my house soon.
Thanks. You will really enjoy it im sure of that.
Just what I needed to see thank you for this video 👍🤟 just ordered some this weekend for our patio and bedroom the misses is worried about being able to see out and such she's never had tint 😂.
You can see out at night fine with the light off in the room. I have no negatives towards using this film. Works great. I also made a follow up video to this check it out. ua-cam.com/video/0G-C0jSiY6g/v-deo.html
The misses? Lol boomer
Yes indeed! Just what I needed..
Newly purchased house in FL and trying to make as energy efficient as possible. The summer heat is brutal here!! Thanks for vid! Would you still use the same brand tint if did it over though...? Just curious
To answer your question yes. I would use the same tint. It has cut out the heat coming in threw the windows. I can enjoy having my blinds wide open and enjoy looking out at everything and knowing nobody can see me looking. I feel safe leaving my blinds open for the day when I'm out because you can't see in at all. This was so worth the time and money spent to add this to my windows. After 6 months its doing great it has NOT faded, bubbled or peeled. It looks as good as the day I put it on. So yes I wouldn't use anything else but BDF wimdow film because I trust this product as it has held up so good in Florida Heat!
apparently you have not lived in Texas during the summer
I'm looking for something like this without the mirror effect. HOA refuses the allow mirror film facing out. Thanks for the info!
This company makes some good tint also in a dark smoke you might want to look at.
Coo video 👍😎
Thanks. Welcome to our channel. Thanks for the thumps up.
Man I went looking for decorative film 😂your door has beautiful glass you just tinted inside 😢. I thought I was gonna turn my back door into $5k door 😢
@@ShiverPlumbingTN lol yes I just tinted the door.
I need help, is there any option to this that still let's you see outside at night?
@@CatalinaB-r5q I can see outside.
Can you please suggest a film for bedroom for night and day time 100% of privacy doesn't matter that lights of inside or outside are on or off? From out side no one can see inside i
With room light on or off i want 100% privcy . Will you please help me with this?
100 percent pricey would be Decorated film. But you won't be able to see outside nobody'll be able to see inside go. Other than that there's no 100% tint.
You can go with a dark tint
but people will still be able to see inside you'll see outside.
I would do mirror tint but I would definitely back with blinds and that's what I have in my house.
curtains or blinds
No.
I appreciate all you hard work, Thank you!!!
Im so happy to hear that our video could help you!
Tanks for your kind words!
What film do u recommend for day and night that lets light pass through (outside is very hot and sunny inside is kinda warm and has hardly any light)
MIRROR TINT is the best for getting light and cutting out the most heat!
If using mirror film be sure to use “exterior film. The company in this video sells it. Interior mirror film will damage your windows. Use Exterior film and clear window caulk to seal the edges. Unless you like replacing windows at hundreds of dollars cost.
Did this happen to you?
Thanks for the light on light off views you the my niggah
Your welcome. Glad I could help!

Thank You
So glad I could help!!
Do you know if it would work on shower glass doors?
As long as its smoth glass it would work.
Did you have any issues with the glass cracking? I’ve been told that tinting “wired” glass like that may cause cracking due to extreme heat inside the glass.
No its just glass. Works really good. I like so much. I would do this all over again if I needed to. The tint I use was good quality
I cant say enough good things about this. Doing this to my windows was the best thing I have ever done. Hope this helps
Let me know
Do you put that on inside your window or out side
Yes inside. Tint always goes on inside a window. I hope this helps.
You should have got a one-way mirror
What film blocks view day & night that isn’t frosted
Unfortunately there is no window film that can block people from seeing in day or night while you can see out. You can make your window private at night. I can still see out mine good at night with the light off in my house. This is the best way to go. Mirror film.to answer your question In short no unless you use frosted or opaque type of film.
lol UV radiation doesn't get converted to heat... you're talking about the IR (infrared) radiation. UV just damages, but doesn't make heat. IR does.
Ultraviolet radiation can fade your carpets. IR heats up your home.
@@FloridaFamFive that's what I said. You said otherwise in the video.
@@Nonx47 I know I did lol
just Clearfield!
Pretty cool during the day but why would you want something that keeps you from being able to see out your windows at night. For example if someone’s on my property or about to break in or creeping by in their car I’d like to be able to see that. Not staring at a mirror while they can see me perfectly haha. I think I’d rather go with smart glass or smart film.
And you said outweighs any negatives haha. I don’t know man I don’t think it’d be nice being inside with family while some creep has his face cupped to the window looking in knowing y’all can’t even see him 😅
Its dark outside I cant really see out anyways. I close my blinds or If I had curtains I would close the curtain so either way I am not really looking outside when it comes night time. Usually people have their blinds or curtains closed at night so it's really not that big of a deal looking out the window at night.. plus i have Security cameras. but if you want to see out the window with the lights off inside your house you could still see out the window kind like having a light tent on your window.
You can see out if your lights are off inside.
If its dark outside and you had a light on inside without window tent its still hard to see out. With tent on window and with light off you can see out . I will add if you had a porch light on then you would see out a lot better. But even with this tent you can still see outside.
@@FloridaFamFive I gotcha, and being in Florida it probably helps with keeping the house a lot cooler inside so that’s a plus. And yea it wouldn’t be so bad I guess if you’ve got cameras and security system. But check out the switch glass if you haven’t, or smart glass. You can get it as glass or a film you put on the windows or can be used for a shower door or whatever. But to each his own, it’s all about what you prefer I guess. Have a good one
@@kyote21 it has cut down the amount of heat in our house and made it so much cooler. Saving money on electric.
I think this is a waste of money you can still see inside your house
It helps to block out uv rays that can turn your carpet colors or furniture. It helps block out the heat and keeps your electric bill down. For me its been a big help. Its not for everyone. I have really liked it since I put it on my windows. I even added it to my skylights. Best investment I made.
Board up your windows
Why wouldn’t you want to be able to see out your windows at night but let other people see in your house that makes zero sense it should be the opposite
Can we see from the outside
I need help with finding right one for mostly hard to see at night! I'm tired of my bf in his boxers or slightly sagging and it shows his crotch area outline. Any bitches looking up can see his STUFF even if he wears his clothes! We live upstairs and I need something where no one can't look up or see us at night time. Day time is different.. You can't see but night time the lights are on. We live in small studio. He knows what bothers me and purposely trying to do it on Purpose! He tells me to shut up after I point it out but he decides to listen to Bible audio on speaker but as I am getting upset...he tells me to shut up and not disrespect the Lord.. Etc etc... Wtf?! Like he setting me up to look bad or that I am a bitch giving attitude!
That’s why you don’t shack up with a man and have sex without marriage. Sounds like you have more problems then some window tint
Couldn't u have done this exercise with normal windows without the pattern???
Not sure what you mean. Can you explain 🤔
I am wondering exactly the same. Why don't you show it with single, transparent glass instead of those designed glasses that already had some kind of privacy?
@@sualbroc my front windows did not have tint on them. I put this on there. It was just a plain glass window. The front door is made with privacy in it but its not full privecy so I added the tint as well to give privacy and block the sun.
You could put this over anydoor or window. I hope this helped
