    I like the way Australia is helping to address this issue. If anyone has been found guilty of child sexual abuse then they can no longer get a passport and are now unable to leave the Country. This law was enacted when it was realized that most convicted paedophiles were holidaying in S E Asia where they had access to child prostitutes.

      The West has been blaming the world's poor for their own plight for as long as Western imperialism has been pillaging the world's resources. Raping their children has always been part and parcel of it. The only difference is that now we see fit to throw a few shekels at them to go along with the honor of having their children pleasure our penises.

    • @MuzzaHukka
      @MuzzaHukka 3 роки тому +1

    • @pinklady7184
      @pinklady7184 3 роки тому

      MuzzaHukka Don't suggest matchmaking. That only makes it worse. P!mps can take advantages of that and set up their own matchmaking services which they can use to disguise prost!tut!on. In Egypt, they produce fake marriage papers so to sell victim's sex to multiple men.
      In matchmaking, many girls are discarded after sex in one day by their so-called husbands. Girls used that way are regarded damaged and unmarriageable, as most men want virgins.

    Poverty or NOT. The Morocan families who dare kick there child out IF he/she gets caught prostituting, is absolutely shameful. The adults have NO right to have children if they are going to make them do "WHATEVER-but don't tell" at such a young age. Why aren't the parents of these children being held responsible?

    Prostitution only exists because of the demand as no amount of poverty would give rise to prostitution if there wasn't a demand for it. Men, and in this case Western men, feel a sense of entitlement to young men and women, with no concern for their well-being. That colonial mentality of being superior is presented here in this situation.

    Although I never saw any prostitution during my one month visit to Morocco, I CAN say that many people live in such poverty that I can see this being an issue. I fed many poor kids there who looked dirty, cold, and hungry. It broke my heart to see them roaming the streets. Kids like that are thought of as expendable street dogs where the rich can enact their disgusting fantasies and get off scott free because there are no laws against this crime against kids. Iif the parents find out they do NOT want everyone to know what happened or for others to judge them for it. In most/if not all Arab cultures, secrecy about bad things they do or have done to them is part of their religion and culture. Secrecy among people who live so closely to their neighbors is important.

    Tourism did not create child prostitution here. The problem is that child prostitution was already accepted in this community. If child prostitution was not already accepted, no one would be offering children to tourists. The community/city/county needs too outlaw child prostitution in order to eradicate it. And, changing the law and possibly a cultural attitude is the really hard part. Focusing on tourists is easy and is a temporary fix, but the issue won't be addressed. Tourists will treat your country and your children the way you allow them to be treated.

    As a white male tourist i visited morocco fir 3 weeks 2018 and did spend 6 days in marrakesh
    So firsr hand experience. I didnt see much prostition and luckely wasnt approach by any pimp or boy. I told my appartment host about this doc he said it exist cyz of the large influx of tourism to marrakesh but not as much as people think. He told me that the people ib general are anit prostition gay and sextourism. People are aware of the negative side of sex tourism and they tip a lot if they see anything suspucious. It has become increasinly difficult for predotors to stay unsuspicious and manouevre trhough locals without being spotted by locals. Walking witg young kids like 13 14 is almost impossible it wil look like an abduction he said. He said that tge police knocked several times on his door cuz locals confused married couples with prostition. For me marrakesh was a islamuc cukture shock. I can see the islam working as a natural anti orostition mechanism in the sense it doesnt turn into a sex openair display as in asia or south america. Though i do see it happen cuz of many high unemploymentrates. But still it stays ckearly an islamic country where people in general dont appreciate tgat kinds of thing. When u check google on top ten sex tourist destination for prostition and child prostition morocco is not on that list. I can see way cuz of tge culture and i wasnt approached at all. If i would gave been approached i would have called the police. Shame on those who exploit people

Everything was so cheap, including my stay at this luxurious riad in the middle of historic Fez that used to be a palace for some historical grandees. It was spooky being there all by myself overnight, in this old palace that had been around for centuries. Memorable, but was I glad I saw other tourists at the place the next day. I definitely don't remember seeing any of these scenes of boys being openly sold in the main tourist squares. Maybe it's a Marrakesh thing?

There is blame on poverty but it still is hard to understand how parents would look the other way knowing their sons are being raped for money. Its an awful thing. Sex trafficking goes on probably in every country in the world and in your city. If you don't think it is going on in your city it's simply bc you don't watch or read the news. When you have families of 4 or more living on $/€ 1day, then you understand the pickle they're in. Of course, most of us in developed countries cannot even begin to imagine that kind of poverty.

      Sadly, humans are complex creatures that create complex civilizations in which ideally, everyone has a job or role. But they outbreed their ability to properly fit everyone into the infrastructure, and don't think at all about the limits of the earth itself upon which the infrastructure is built.

They were caught with underage boys who were offered to them by the hotel where they stayed. They claimed it was a set-up but later confessed. Still, the US Embassy protected them. I know this to be a fact. I hope it’s no longer happening in Algiers but things like this don’t stay localized.

    Like this is a phenomenon of recent times? The availability of boys as trade in Morocco was much more prevalent in the past when such things were not fodder for insipid "shock"-umentaries like this contrived news story. The idea that Moroccans of any age or social standing would be the unwitting victims to the schemes of foreign tourists is laughable. Exploiting and scamming tourists is a national sport, there. Whoever you might be, you won't match their wits. They have home turf advantage and they will make the most of your culture shock. The second you step off that train you become an object of constant contempt and scorn.

      @robbes7rh I agree. I don't support exploitation at all, but it's inevitable. What about other workers who do dangerous, painful, back-breaking jobs for pennies? They're being exploited, too. We do what we have to to survive. Instead of focusing on particular jobs that are really crappy, we should focus on the bigger economic picture.

    Haven't been Morocco but have been North Africa. I'm commenting on poverty, it's something that western people won't be able to comprehend. There are people living in huts in a desert, (this shouldn't be in the 21st century). Mean to say these problems are always going to be there in that type poverty. People are depressed, but its a breading ground for all crime, terrorism aswel.

      In those countries there is Islam and crime more brutal in there. I went to see the Roman mosaic.. aspiration and you'll find there isn't any different from a manual job to a secretive job. This was realisation. This is like an status but there is a poor below that. And it's like that type of status. But young people aspirated and found my visit more educational than sun and sand. I think west should wake up. Understand these conditions. I'm a western and I'll always have those values. There is more to understand
