Aloy was one of my biggest complaints about this game. She was likable enough in the first game but in this one, she's just a BITCH to everyone for no reason. And she NEVER stops talking. How stupid did the devs think their playerbase is?!
I disagree. I think I absolutely was shocking with the revelations of the major story beats later on and I really liked Aloy working more with her crew. It felt like a story that was planned from the start instead of 'hey we made a good game, now we gotta make a sequel'. I didn't really care for Rost as much as some of the characters in H:FW. Also, you're totally right, this game perfected and fixed every flaw in H:ZD to create an awesome open world.
My point of view of Horizon Forbidden west is that it's a very visually appealing and beautiful open-world game. It's a very good open-world game, but there's only one problem. I have played so many open-world games recently I would wish to have something more of an almost more linear but fine-tuned gameplay experience. That did not have so much "filler content to collect and craft constantly" getting a bit tired of it. Nothing wrong really with the game itself but rather the player got exhausted.

I agree. Elden Ring, BOTW, and Elder Scrolls showed me how much I appreciate quick intros to massive open world games, that then allow me to do exactly what I want. Shadow of War was a pretty slow intro as well BUT it wasn't a 3 hour tutorial, it was 3 hours of INTENSE world building. Especially considering that everything that happens in the first roughly 5 hours of the game doesn't matter at all to the story or the main character. And that really pulled away from my enjoyment of the game. Considering that I had played the first one all the way through several times, it's one of my favorite games. I mean.... Like you should be able to assume that most people who are playing this second game have gone through the first one, so you should let people load their save from the first one so you know that they already know what they're doing and don't have to keep holding their hand for a 5-hour long tutorial. Especially considering that everything that happens in the first roughly 5 hours of the game doesn't matter at all to the story or the main character. And that really pulled away from my enjoyment of the game. Considering that I had played the first one all the way through several times, it's one of my favorite games. I mean.... Girl with a superpowered bow and arrow versus robot dinosaurs? That's fucking awesome! Sign me UP.
So like, what the fuck happened? It feels like an insult to somebody who loved the first game, I don't need you to hold my hand. I want you to let me play the game and figure out (for myself) how to defeat the new enemies because it's more fun that way. Honestly I was just disappointed with how much time this game wasted for basically no reason.
TL;DR: don't treat your fans of the series like little babies who need an 8-hour long tutorial. It's annoying and stupid.
Love your content, keep it up!
Man, I can't wait for the next Horizon game.
The next time, we will probably get Silksong to be announced at the next panel to take away any hype it may have
Probably gonna come out when Fallout 5 does or Gta6
Nah, it would be BOTW2 lmao
@@hunt7533 No lmao, BOTW2 comes out next year, no way can they develop a sequel in just a year from the last games release.
@@ayaan9968 It was a joke haha but I wouldn't be surprised if it happens again with another possible Masterpiece game.
@@ayaan9968 But the big dlc expansion sure can!
I just wished they gave you the bird earlier in the game to explore, you didn’t even get it until the last mission!
Getting the bird early would break the entire game lmao
It took me 10 seconds to realize the intro joke but that was awesome 😂😂
I miss the old PlayStation Exclusives like InFamous, Sly Cooper, Jak and Daxter, Twisted Metal, etc.
The new ones are sadly mid, well except Ghost of Tsushima that one is criminally underrated. But other then that, Kratos and Nathan Drake are the last ones of a dying breed, same for Ratchet and Clank.
What's this? Another Kevduit upload? Don't mind if I do
11:37 this part actually made me laugh out loud
I was the first like. Love your content, keep it up!
I really liked the intro
I love how everyone is just making fun of Forespoken
I'd forgotten that this is an AU where Commander Zavala *doesn't* step into a war with the Cabal on Mars
I've watched a lot of playthroughs, but yours has been the most entertaining😅.
Can't wait for Horizon allowed east
After watching this video I have decided I'm satisfied with just the first game
Apart from more machines and the graphics the game is so much worse than the original.
Aloy is a complete bitch. I actually hate her in FW she’s just so unlikeable
The story is boring AF
Side Characters are forgettable and just not needed. Because apparently aloy can do everything and everyone else can do nothing unless she’s there to assist.
The game is to grindy to upgrade gear even on baby mode. in conclusion
stick to the original it’s way better.
I got it with my PS5 bundle and still feel robbed. What a dogshit game.
Force your friends to play barotrauma👁️👄👁️
🤣 Oh my God you did that intro so much better
And so he returns
(Go West) Life is peaceful there
(Go West) In the open air
(Go West) Baby you and me
(Go West) This is our destiny
(Go West) Sun in wintertime
(Go West) We will do just fine
(Go West) Where the skies are blue
(Go West, this is what we're gonna do)
This game is sooooo underrated, its just mind blowing, but you have to try zero dawn first
Ps5 DualShock controller.. the nerds in the background “it’s actually DualSense”
hi love the content. I subbed a month ago, and I have watched like 40 or 50 of ur videos already.
The west truly is forbidden
At least the intro isn't a 10 hour long walking simulator.
did you know you can go even further west by buying the DLC 🤣
Does everyone remember when the picture of "elden ring made by ubisoft" came out and Ubisoft devs and some other dev company including i think also Horizon Dawn join in throwing shade at From Software. Something about poor UI performance and Quest Design. Yet ER sold over 13 million copies and these devs getting shit on by souls fans and ubisoft haters.
I mean... Ui in Elden Ring is not really good and the guy got a point. People just call him names because they like the game not because he's wrong and that just wrong
Best way to describe the game is: “More of the same”
Fax
I have played and yes true
I won't lie I'm a sucker for a open world game set after a apocalyptic situation I still enjoyed it
I'm sure the game is fun but i played the first one and i am not ready to pay 90 dollars for this
It’s 64$
I was litterly thinking about how I wanted him to post this video a few hours ago😂
The amount of times the word "West" is used
The world is flat it just spins so fast that it looks round
2:23 that got me😂
Sylens was the coolest character in both games and it absolutely SUCKS that his actor died.
Just finished the main quest line, and I absolutely loved it. It was just as good, if not better, than the first, and I'm very excited for more from this series
... dude, you took idiocy to the next level !! ... loved it !! ... lmao...
That’s evior’s face in the thumbnail, you can’t fool me
Love ur vids
All i heard for the cutscene in the start was commander zavala from destiny
The domestics is a good movie..... thanks for sharing
YEEEEEEHAAAW!
- Alloy after Western Whiskey, probably.
Kevin can you please force your friends to play Adventure Quest Worlds, the 2D version. I saw your wizard 101 video and it's only right you play AQW
Horizon isn't a gaming masterpiece, but at least it's entertaining.
What I can't forgive in the 2 game is that Aloy never shuts up, sometimes I get desperate
They left Killzone on a cliffhanger for this?
the game that released one week before elden ring
It's crazy the made a spin-off game of Alloy from Fortnite
Your singing in the beginning.😂😂. Always love your commentary Kevin. Still my favorite youtuber
The commentary is terrible
I was playing this and Elden ring top games this year and can’t wait to play the new god of war.
Ah yes.. California: The Game.
The western robots be like Yeehaw
Idk i only played the first game
It's hilarious how they keep saying West no specific location just west 😂😂😂
RIP Sylens / Lance the best character
Any npc " what will you do now?" Alooy "west"
0:13 that was super effective xDDDD
This dude voice acting its Zavala from Destiny 2 wow
0:25-0:38
Comment 2: Nickelback is not that bad. I once used it on a 7 hour car trip from Kurumkan to Ulan-Ude to shut up my annoying mother-in-law, because she kept talking about differences in grocery store prices between Buryatia and Mongolia for hours, every single food item. Nickelback is my hero, as well as the Pussycat Dolls, Usher, Madonna, Black Eyed Peas and other awful 2000's trash pop producer.. My mother-in-law hates that type of music more than i do.
Was that intro a dig at Forspoken? LULULULUL
The random riff on the Forspoken trailer for your intro lol
is this Attack on Titan?
Can you try Gaurdians Of The Galaxy, I promise you won't regret the amount of fun and madness you'll have om that game!!
Well, it's not called the FORBIDDEN west for nothing.
