I feel your pain. What I use is the std Triumph screen spaced out with 20mm top and 5mm lower nylon spacers. Also a clip on Puig 6319H. This made a good improvement for little cost. Some have success with the Puig touring screen but too fugly for my taste. Helmet choice is a big factor too.

It’s a real shame. It’s a fantastic bike apart from the wind noise or buffeting. I use a shoe gt air 2 but have heard modular helmets are better to block out wind noise. Thanks for sharing your setup

I've got a 2016 1050 tiger sport, im 6'1" & have both MRA Screens. In my opinion the X-creen is better than the vario as it is more adjustable, you can make it as small as the small Screens or as tall as the standard screen. I would say its slightly better as a tall screen than the standard one, but if you want better protection i would go for the puig touring with the spoiler.

I have a 2020 TS. At the moment it is fitted with a Power bronze screen. This weekend we (me and the wife pillion) rode down to Le Mans for the MotoGP in the company of five other bikes, the speeds were well in excess of the legal speed limit. We wear Shoei flip front helmets with integral Senna comms, we are able to have conversation upto 90 mph. The wind batter is quite bad but I can live with it. Strangely and I don’t know what made me do it, if I hold my left hand next to the vizer in the form of a salute, not to be advised at speed, the noise and wind batter disappeared immediately making me wonder if I could fix some sort of wing on the side of the helmet. Another point I would make is that before the flip fronts I used a GT Air helmet which is much quieter and more comfortable then the flip fronts.

I was under the impression the modular flip fronts were quieter. I bought the GT-AIr as it was rated one of the quietest lids around. Thanks for sharing your experience

I have a Puig touring screen with the aerofoil add on. I am 5' 11 and it works well for me.

@upnorthbiker I think I told you I was going to Ireland.
We had an amazing time in Southern Ireland riding the Ring of Kerry etc . See Bennetts best biking roads in Ireland.
      Our weather was lovely!!!!!
I did not video from the bike as I have no cameras but have lots of stills and video from my phone.
If you are interested I can send some, but need an email address or a way of sharing them with you.
I dropped my bike in a filling station. Only scratched the pannier, but bruised my ribs which was painful later on😕

I have the MRA short screen and it has the same issues, I’m going to try the little mra style deflector on the top. Has anyone tried blocking the air feed under the screen. I moved to the Thirsk area because of the road access it’s great😀

I think most of the problem is that the screen is not wide enough and as you suggest there is a big gap between the screen and the little deflectors. Thirsk is a brilliant location. I'm jealous.

    I'm 5 9/10 need a screen?

I have put spacers behind the screen and it improves them all. For filming I need to use a short screen but for comfort a touring screen. Luckily they can be swapped real quick
