As a young person who needs a reliable, quality built, good looking short commuter this review was the confirmation I needed. Absolutely in love with the tiger sport 660
You can adjust the dash brightness. You press and hold the dash function button before turning the ignition on. One way switches the odometer from mph to kmph and the other way changes the brightness
I had the Tracer 700 (2021) and I´m traveling a lot before I bought the MV Agusta Turismo Veloce. I can underline your result - the Tracer 7 is a very good multi tool with which you can do everything what has to be done on a motorbike. I also had the Tiger 600 on my list. But without a center stand touring and maintenance can be pain in the ass. Thanks for this detailed video with so many aspects. Helps people a lot to make their decision. Keep up the good work and stay healthy...
i have a tracer 700 which it has by far the best engine but not a very good protection. i had many motorcycles and i can say one of the best overall was my suzuki vstrom 650 2013. but the truth is that the best vallue for money motorcycle and the one that i would buy if i had the money is the tracer 900. fantastic engine with 3 cylindres and no problems. regards from greece
Hello my friend, how are you? Thanks far watching 👍 I honesty did not like the Tracer 9 so much... Phenomenal engine, but i prefer the 7 in practically everything else 🙂
I didnt like the 2022 tracer9 do to the engine vibration coming from the handelbars, witch made my hands go numb about 30min of riding on the motorway. Also the engine sounds like its going to expolde any second if you drive it hard. Not a good feeling about about yamaha cp3 anymore.
As much as I love my Tracer 700 (2020 model), I absolutely had to get bar risers. With the stock setup, my back always started to protest after a little while. Also, I did not find the comfort seat (got the touring packet) that comfortable and went with the basic stock seat for a while. After a bit of fiddling, I put the heated seat cover from an older model onto the comfort seat base. Works great, never had that before. Also replaced the fancy touring hardcases against my boxy, 20 year old Givi hardcases, each 45 litres. Now it has really turned into a mile-munching machine.
45 litres each ! Well done. GS riders will be envious haha. Gel seats and memory foam sound good but are overrated. I un-stapled my tracer 9 seat, a 1cm of firm foam on top and staple up again. Way better, but an upright style bike puts a lot of weight on your rear so it’s never perfect. A Chinese copy airhawk is worth a try if you let it down almost flat.
@@rcrossz7 Maybe I can make a short video with my crappy phone camera? I do not have a fancy one, just an antique DSLR without video function. But I am afraid there is not much to look at, I did not want it to stand out, only to push its touring capacities.
Everyone can give their opinion based on their criteria and needs which of the two is better, but for me the GP2 engine that the Yamaha Tracer has has no comparison. It is also a very logical, reliable and excellent quality motorcycle.
Each time I get on my 07' V-Strom dl650 I loose the idea of buying a new bike, thing just gives and gives with no end in sight, but I love the 700 Tracer, simply looks gorgeous
I Completely understand you. I have a 1k, and love her. The tracer 7 is fantastic and generally better than a 07 strom. But you can't beat the comfort of a vstrom 👍😁
Hi João. New here...didn't have the opportunity to watch full video but I will 😉 Recently had my tracer 900 for 86k and try the trident 660 as a possible replacement and it is not so far away as I was thinking. For me is a no brainer comparing to the tracer 7, for a little more you get a better bike in every way and is not so far away as tracer 9 (Standart)...in fact I think the trident is more close to the tracer 9 as the tracer 7. Of course, last decision is yours but my 2 cents on vote for trident 660 all the way ✌️
Hi there👋 Thanks for tuning in 😃 Both bikes are fantastic. But for traveling i do think the tracer 7 would be the better bike to have for the reasons i explain on the video 👍
@@John_Neves The Tracer 7 but in the end I ended up buying the Kawasaki Versys 650. I'm getting old so I tend to chose stuff made for elderly people :D
Hi John. I understand these videos are a bit old. I wonder if you continued the quest in finding the best touring moto for your needs. Also, haven’t you considered the Tiger 900s? In your plan you’ll be testing out more expensive and heavy bikes like the explorer, africa twin, multistrada, and even the bulky BMW GS12. Why not the Tiger 900 instead?
Hi Bruno, Unfortunately i haven't had time for this channel. I've tried a load of bikes, but still ride my strom. I just haven't found anything that is that much better and worth spending my cash on. I enjoyed the 900 a lot. My wife may buy that very bike 👍 For now she switched to a CB500X. She loves everything about it, apart from the power.
Awesome content John, thanks for sharing your thoughts on these two bikes! One quick question, any particular reason you're keeping reliability out of your comparison? It's something I'm sure most of us consider, especially as you seem to be interested in putting a lot of KM on the next bike as opposed to just picking it up to "drive around town" or to go to the pub with your mates. Looking forward to your next video!
Hi there 👋 Thanks for the compliment 💪 As you correctly suspect, reliability is a huge issue for us. However, in my opinion, i do think most main manufacturers are all quite reliable as long as you treat the bikes well and get them serviced in a timely fashion. There will always be the ocasional "lemon" unfortunately, and we have all heard the good, the bad and the ugly from the same brand and model... This said, we will be avoiding some cheaper brands, because i believe you get what you pay for, but even those are getting good reviews nowadays.... However, I'm old school, and i am a firm believer of Japanese engineering... 🤫
The brakes are Sumitomo calipers, the same ones they fitted to the R6 back in the day. For some reason the discs are slightly smaller than the mt07. Another UK youtuber thought the pillion position of the tracer 7 was better than both the tiger 660 and tracer 9. I've done my research 'cos I'm booking a test ride on a Tracer 7 soon too!
Thanks for that 👌 Didn't try the pillion seat, as it's not really our purpose. But I'm quite sure it's more comfy than the Tiger just by looking at both 😜 Tracer 9 was a huge disappointment... The 7 is a really great bike. 👍 I'd be interested to know if your buy it 💪
Super nice video and good comparison. Good explenation that made me buy the tracer 7 2 months ago. In the video you said the buffeting on the tracer came from wind over ypur knees. However, I bought the Puig touring screen and that completely solved the buffeting problem. I also bought the Shad 58x that made it possible to store two big helmets while parked, and reducing the topcase in size while riding. A supergood alternative to the standard sidecases who are too small. My fjr1300 cases have a bigger lid and then two helmets fit perfectly, but Yamaha only grants these sidecases to buy extra, not instead of the small ones. 😢 Heated grips from daytona, cheap and very good, and without a big button. Only a small integrated one in the rubber! Super.😊
You forgot build quality, my wife had an out of the showroom zero miles on the clock MT07 and we found the first rust on it after 3 weeks as the paint was as thin as a politicians promise. Triumph have far better build quality and much thicker paint which allows for those inevitable flying small stones.
@@John_Neves mentioned it as you were talking about touring with off road capability and low maintenance costs. Unfortunately Yamaha like most Japanese bike companies shoot their bikes through the paint booth by catapult.
At last. A real world non bs review. Friends tiger 9 was hot also, but the tracer 9 wasn’t, both triples so not sure how the Triumphs hotter ? . Looking at going down from the Tracer 9 to a 7, more relaxing for touring, 9 is like a caffeine shot. Shield on 9. Tried so many, no screen (summer) or a huge Puig touring for distance or cooler weather. Nothing in between worked, so guess it’s the same for the 7 and most adv styles ?
@@John_Neves Title should be ‘less is more’ ? . The 9 has an addictive engine, one of the best I’ve ever had, but I can’t ride it without cracking the throttle, my fault, but that’s when it comes in to its own. It’s a just one more pint type of bike and sometimes I need a more sober day out on a bike haha.
Just went from a Tracer 900 to the 700, it never grew on me(loved the triple cylinder engine though). Never have "buffering" as with all bikes, I get rid of the screen... want a screen, buy a car(i sit behind a truck one all day). I had a metal replacement on the 900, still awaiting my 700 conversion. About to start filming a Tracer7 ADV build, but as no one want the brand new wheels and tyres, I'm just about to start using it(motorcyclists are weird people, unused wheels and Michelin Pilots, they'd rather punch out/renew the bearings, shot blast and paint then fit new tyres than bolt on brand news wheels to their old bike at more cost, than buy new)! Fitted 900GT electrics with C/C to my 900, going to miss that, but it is available, aftermarket, all the emissions stuff has bee junked already, Arrow downpipes, no cat and an open can will get the motor running the way it was designed(K+N filter etc). Biggest change coming is the XSR700 swingarm, by fitting the 55mm longer one, it just looks stupid, drag bike-esque. As it's for pottering around the Highlands of Scotland, and up cattle/sheep trails the short rear will be better for turning, etc
Awesome and informative review! Is the CFMOTO 800MT available in your country? It's a Chinese brand but I've been hearing good things about it. I'd love to see it compared in this category.
Hey there 👋 Thanks for the compliment 😃 I have also heard very good things of the CFMOTO which has made me very curious also. Let me see if i can get my hands on one 👍
Owned a tracer 7 for 6 months, biggest disappointment of all the bikes I owned... If you really want a Yamaha you have to go with the "bigger" models.I've owned 2 of the CP2 platform and it feels like a mass-produced piece of appliance... Triumphs are much more composed,a little bit more expensive but well worth the extra money!
@ThePortugueseGuy the performance was indeed one of the "problems" I had with it,it felt really muted.Even after I put an aftermarket exhaust on it (MIVV) It didn't change in the good way.The plastic fairings didn't line up 100%,the DRL broke the first day I picked it up,the wind protection was not good enough (IMO).It's a shame cause the first time I saw it I was hooked by its looks but once owning it the looks faded pretty quickly. When owning a European brand u get the feeling it is made with care and love (currently own a MG v7 special from 2022) the tracer really felt like a machine that does what it has to do,nothing more nothing less 😅 and I repeat IMO 😉 great content you make amigo!
@ThePortugueseGuy I am in love with the Guzzi,I commute on it every day (yes even in the snow). It is something special, agreed it's not for everyone,it is a more "old-school" bike. The engine is more torque oriented with a great balance between comfort and sportiness on the handling department. For what I use the bike for it's more than capable and it has a 21L fuel tank + it's shaft driven 😁
I don't have any problems with turbulences with GT windshield on the Tracer. I'm 1.76, and perhaps the only annoyance is the side to side sway during windy weather, but that's inevitable. I think there is no point in scoring stand position, since you won't stand almost any time. A much more interesting score would be companion comfort.
Hi There 🖐 That's great! Unfortunately that wasn't my experience.. I rate standing, because i stand up a lot, especially off road. Pillion is of no interest to me, so i don't rate it :) As you see, choosing a motorcycle is a very individual decision. What is important to some, may not be for others :) Ride safe 💪💪
Stumble upon to your channel when searching any Tracer 7 reference for my research of future R25 mod into sport touring one, good comparation too with the latest Tracer 9 comparison. But I found the regularity of publishing the video on this channel are lacking, so reserved for subscribe button for now.
The tracer has just received an update for this year. Have you seen it? The one you’re reviewing is already the previous year model and the new one has a bigger wind shield
Hey their 🖐 I've only seen it in pictures. But the rest of the bike just doesn't quite fit the bill for what we need. Great machine, just not what I'm looking for right now 👍
I am 178cm, but have shorter legs and i manouvre with big bikes no problem. Never flipped ot and i ride or rode GSA, Africa Twin, Tracer 9, EXC, SXF..etc. It’s all about tehnique and knowledge, not about the strenght and leg size
Awesome video meu amigo. You’ve got a new subscriber. Hey I saw that someone suggested you to try the NC750X in the comments. Even if you are not interested I would love to see how you would rate it against all the other bikes you have chosen. Again great video, thank you for sharing your thoughts.
Hey there! Muito obrigado 👍 Yeahhhh. The NC750X is a funny looking bike. Neither me neither my wife consider it. I'm sure it's a fantasric machine, but it's also on the heavy side for what it is. Unfortunately i don't think it would be on the series.... each video takes several weeks to produce, so I'm really trying to only review bikes i really consider... but hey, things may change 😁 Thanks for watching 👍
Very good comparisons. I am literally waiting with my breath held for your next videos because in this moment i am searching exactly what are you searching. 😁 and till now i agree with the tracer. 1 more thing wich one do you think it s better inside big city trafic?? Waiting for your next vids
Hi there 👋 Thanks for the compliment 💪 Honestly? For big city traffic, best would be a scooter 😁 But you know this and don't want one. I do not blame you 😂 Up till now, the only one i find a little cumbersome in traffic was the Tracer 9. All the others were great. But that does not mean the tracer 9 cannot perfectly handle big city traffic, it can, perfectly well. It just won't be as nimble and relaxing as the rest. It's a little top heavy for that 👍
Nobody really wants a scooter...😁. Thanks for the information. Keep it up! Very good work! Nakeds are good too but i was thinking one of these adv that s why i asked 😁. Thanks again!
Hi John, great content! A question for you. I also hate the turbulence and buffeting. Now I just sold my Yamaha fazer from 2010 and looking for a new bike which will not have that turbulence and buffeting. With a height of 1,85m which bikes would you think of could be good options? Considering most part of driving will be highway?
Hi there🖐 Until now, the only ADV i've tried that doesn't buffet is the BMW GSA... There may be others, but i have not tried them all yet. Other than that, most touring bikes are great too. FJR, Honda Pan European, BMW RT for example... Possibly not what you wanted to hear, but bikes have to have quite wide fronts to give riders any serious protection... Hope this helps 👌👍
@@John_Neves thank you john. I was thinking about a tracer 7 or 9 or a multistrada 950m so really curious about your upcoming episodes. As long as the turbulence is less than my fazer I'm happy
On my Honda VFR1200 F there is no buffeting. Wind protection is perfekt. The only issue I have is the seating position, which is perfekt for sporty riding but is a little too much leaned forward when I ride all day long.
Hi there. Glad you liked the video 😀 I don't think so. From experience i know they are extremely competent bikes, but we are just not to fond of the looks on either 😔 It's not a full no yet, but highly doubtful as the very least.
Belo review.
Noticed you listed a GS in your list. If you can afford one then it will absolutely spoil you. Best bike I have ever ridden for long distance and still an absolute hoot to ride when you get to the twisty roads. I did have a tenere 700 until recently too and although I havent ridden the tracer 7 it has the same engine and it's an absolute peach! The point you made about buffeting gets my goat too... Sometimes the screens just make it so much worse. On my tenere I replaced the screen all together and it totally solved it. On my GS the stock screen was almost fine but I added a spoiler to it and now I sit in a bubble of total calm. I consider it one of those items that you are pretty much guaranteed to have to fix on most bikes and is something that would be so easy to fix from the factory.
Hi there 👋 I'm actually afraid of testing the newer GSA cause it will totally break my bank account 😁 But there are so many on the road, they have to be fantastic bikes... Just tested the Triumph Tiger 1200 explorer. I was blown away. Absolutely amazing bike compared to the others I've ridden so far. Quite good on buffeting also 👍 Thanks for watching and commenting 👌
@@John_Neves Yeah the big boy adventure bikes really step it up to another level. When I was traveling through europe on my GSA I could just stick my feet up on the crash bars and sit back like I'm on a cruiser with effortless torque from the big boxer engine. But when I was riding through the swiss alps I was able to race a ferarri through the twisties and the guy couldn't lose me.
@willm8182 The XR seems very interesting, but i'm just not sure if it would work as an all rounder on dirt tracks... To be honest i'm not so keen on the looks of the Strom 1050... Its a great bike, i still have my first gen and it's been amazing, but i'm just not sure this new one would give me 15K's worth of pleasure, when compared to mine that's already sorted out to my needs and liking. I loved the T-Plane crank. I recently tested the 1200 rally pro, video coming one of these days, and is was absolutely amazing. Nice top end buzz also. Really expensive though :) I'm starting to doubt if i should spend any cash on bikes, and just put it onto traveling with the ones we already have 🤣 Let's see how this goes. Take care, thanks for watching 👍👍
When are you posting about tracer 9? I can t decide what to buy tracer 7 or tracer 9 and i am waiting for your post😁😁 it s a hard choice and i am looking for almost the same things like you do.. 😔😔 i am waiting for 1 month
Hello my friend 😁 I am sorry to make you wait so long, the video is in production, but it take many hours to put together, which i can only do on my spare time. I will do my best to try to have it out by the end of the month. 💪👍

Fiz a subscrição do canal.
This is my dream bike. I'm hoping this will reach the shores of America. Unfortunately, I am 5'6'' in height, do you think I can get on with this bike?
@@John_Neves yes Triumph offers a color matched lower fairing as a add-on option. I got one installed on mine but the weather has been so bad that I haven’t had a chance to test it at highway speeds.
Riding aids are not to combat power it there for rider safety so all bike should be afforded this tech. Yamaha is good at moulding plastic into a good looking bike
I really wanted an opinion, you guys know better about motorcycles than me. I need to make 200 km per day to go to the office, like 2 times per week, i was thinking getting a xmax 300 or a forza but im afraid that they might ending with issues for such a big distances. I want a confortable ride. what do you suggest?(i have licence for every CC)
@tiagomilhazes43543 the 300 engine will rev too high for long trips. Any motorcycle will do everything you need, the difference will be in the comfort or practicality. For specifically 200 km 2 x week you want a big engine for low revs, high-speed stability and lots of wind protection to arrive fresh at your destination. Look for a 2nd hand pan-European, FJR or RT. Thse bikes are amazing for what you need 👍 Maxi trails are also an option, but most have wind buffeting and as they sit high up, they will usually not be so stable as a sports tourer/tourer. 👍
Good to hear from you, John. I agree with you about braided lines. The Triumph looks better out of these two. How about a Honda NC 750X DCT? Sounds unlikely but more low-down urgency than a Tracer 900GT, according to an English journalist whose video I watched this week. A bit heavier than these two, but it's all carried low down. Then there's the storage compartment in the dummy tank. Plus, it's easily the most economical. I like Jack's helmet.
Hey there Nick! How's it going? Not to sure about the Honda... I know its a great bike, and that storage was extremely clever... but the looks.... i just couldn't live with them 🤣 Yes, Jack sure has a Helmet 🤣🤣
Definitely the right choice will be the Honda Nc750x dct. Low fuel, front tank, automatic transmission, long life and cheap and long maintenance intervals
Completely subjective, rode both bikes hated the tracer loved the triumph a much smoother ride. Two friends owned tracers, both had horrible engine problems almost from new.
Totally agree. Subjectivity is the base of all opinions. This is just mine. I'm looking for a pair of bikes, and I'll buy the bikes i felt were best for me 👍 Others may not agree, and that's fine 😁
Hi there 👋 Truth is, I didn't measure fuel consumption because it will depend on so many factores... For instance, my wife will have an average of 4L/100kms on her Trident 660. I'll avarage just over 5. Same bike, diferente rider 😁😁
@@John_Neves Yes of course I'm aware of that factor 😄 Im considering Tracer 700 as an option for the next purchase, and this information is hard to be find exactly because of diffrent types of driving. I am an easy driver so i would take this 4l as an consumption for me😄 Thank you for the answer, continue with your good job on youtube. Cheers
Lately Yamaha doesn't care about the quality at all ... The Yamaha mt09 is buzzing a lot after 30 kms I don't feel my arms . The 07 is a bit better cause the 2 cilinder .. But if you look the tiger they don't have any plastic on the foot peg what tells a lot about vibrations if they brave enough to give it out like this . In the past 15 years the triumph evolved above the Japanese bikes for my liking.
@@John_Neves the other thing I never tried the 700 tracer , but I did try the 900 what is 3 cilinder as the triumphs and the worst thing with that was after 30-40 Kms I didn't feel my hands they got numbed from the vibrations , I never had that with any triumphs , And the other thing was the throttle response in corners when u come out I pulled the gas and I felt no reaction at all for a while and all of a sudden every power come and I felt like that the bike will fly out under me . All the triumphs have bloody accurate throttle response for my liking compare to Yamaha's or any other Japanese bikes .
@@millerjoe1755 yeah.. I've tried to convince my wife to get a rear shock, but she's not too enthusiastic about spending that kind of cash, for the experience she has. I can understand that perfectly. How much was yours?
@@millerjoe1755 The Tracer 9 rider aids are hugely restrictive. To enjoy the bike, you really have to switch every thing off 👍 That's what i did, and i enjoyed the engine very much actually 😁
You compare two motorcycles, but in the video you mainly show Yamaha. How can you compare maneuvering, for example, if you can only see how you do it on one motorcycle? This material looks like an advertisement, not a comparison.
@@John_Neves Don't you count your money or what? I'm not from EU or USA so loans in my country is like 30%+ a year. We do look at the prices. So when you tell for example that this is 4 and Yamaha is 7 you forget that Yamaha is almost x2 triumph in price
@@Yanas_Olyah Wow 30% is a lot of money for a loan :S The price of these bikes is actually quite similar where i live, so that's why it doesn't really matter :)

Thanks alot 👍
We are truly considering this bike for my wife. Itsa great machine 👍
Happy travels 🏍
Agree 100% with you on absent of center stand on Tiger. Big - on my list.
i have a tracer 700 which it has by far the best engine but not a very good protection. i had many motorcycles and i can say one of the best overall was my suzuki vstrom 650 2013. but the truth is that the best vallue for money motorcycle and the one that i would buy if i had the money is the tracer 900. fantastic engine with 3 cylindres and no problems. regards from greece
Hello my friend, how are you?
Thanks far watching 👍
I honesty did not like the Tracer 9 so much...
Ride a Tiger first and talk about the engine.
@@georgekotsomytis8372tracer engine is better.
Great! I glad you were able to make your ride more comfortable 👍
I'm sure your comment will help others, so thanks for that 😀👊
45 litres each !
Gilles on mine from a 900
really interested to see your bike in pictures but youtube doesnt allow
Hi João.
New here...didn't have the opportunity to watch full video but I will 😉
Recently had my tracer 900 for 86k and try the trident 660 as a possible replacement and it is not so far away as I was thinking. For me is a no brainer comparing to the tracer 7, for a little more you get a better bike in every way and is not so far away as tracer 9 (Standart)...in fact I think the trident is more close to the tracer 9 as the tracer 7.
Of course, last decision is yours but my 2 cents on vote for trident 660 all the way ✌️
Hi there👋
Thanks for tuning in 😃
Both bikes are fantastic. But for traveling i do think the tracer 7 would be the better bike to have for the reasons i explain on the video 👍
Amigos de língua portuguesa, as legendas saem para a semana. fiquem atentos 💪👍

Amazing review and it made me decide between these 2 which one was the right one for me. Thank you for this.
Which one did you choose? 🤔

Hi Bruno,
Unfortunately i haven't had time for this channel.
I've tried a load of bikes, but still ride my strom. I just haven't found anything that is that much better and worth spending my cash on.
I enjoyed the 900 a lot. My wife may buy that very bike 👍
For now she switched to a CB500X.
Hi there 👋
Thanks for the compliment 💪
As you correctly suspect, reliability is a huge issue for us.
i will follow this series as i am about to buy my first real bike above 125
That's fantastic! I hope my videos help you make an educated decision 👍
Thanks for that 👌
Didn't try the pillion seat, as it's not really our purpose.
But I'm quite sure it's more comfy than the Tiger just by looking at both 😜
Tracer 9 was a huge disappointment... The 7 is a really great bike. 👍
I'd be interested to know if your buy it 💪
@@John_Neves BTW I'm not sure the bike you tested was an OE GT model. I think the yamaha panniers don't have a scaffolding underneath.
Nice review.
Try to put om your list Moto Guzzi V85TT.A great option in my opinion considering price/quality/confortable/autonomy. Good luck.
Thats a very interesting bike also 👍
First time watching this creators content. Well done Sir. New sub here.
Wow. Thank you very much! It's nice to know my content is useful 😊
Didnt know your channel, congratulations. Very good review. Just subscribed.
Heated grips from daytona, cheap and very good, and without a big button. Only a small integrated one in the rubber! Super.😊
Very nice. I wish you lots of fun 👍🏍🏍
@@John_Neves 😎👍🏻

The reliability and the look of tracer is enough for me to choose
Yamaha do certainly make great motorcycles, that's for sure 👍
great videos, just what i was looking for.
Nice! I'm glad it was helpful for you 👍
Enjoyed your content. I'm looking at the tiger sport 660 cause here in the US we dont get the tracer 7. 😥
Seriously? wow.. Didn't know that....
The tiger is a great bike though. You'll love it 💪
Buffeting is however a nightmare
a small extra screen on the Tracer 7 worked wonders for me, but it did need some adjustments.
Hey there 👋
Great. The tracer is an amazing Motorcycle 👍
1.Triumph Tiger 660
2.Kawasaki versys 650
3.Suzuki vstrom 650
4.Honda nc750x
5.Yamaha Tracer 700
Nice line up 👍
You forgot build quality, my wife had an out of the showroom zero miles on the clock MT07 and we found the first rust on it after 3 weeks as the paint was as thin as a politicians promise. Triumph have far better build quality and much thicker paint which allows for those inevitable flying small stones.
Oh yes. I fully agree.
I could almost swear i mentioned the lack of quality of the Tracer in the vid though 🤔
Thanks for the compliment 👍
I fully agree with you. I think you'll be happy downgrading and I'll explain why i also think so in my next video 💪
@@John_Neves Title should be ‘less is more’ ? . The 9 has an addictive engine, one of the best I’ve ever had, but I can’t ride it without cracking the throttle, my fault, but that’s when it comes in to its own.
That sounds like a very interesting project 👌
Where could we see it?
@@John_Neves Start filming shortly... only been waiting 12mths for a cheque from my late father's estate... need to buy some gear!
Go easy on the folks that want screens on their ADVENTURE bikes. If you don't want one or if it's too much like a car, just buy a NAKED. 🤷♂️
Awesome and informative review! Is the CFMOTO 800MT available in your country? It's a Chinese brand but I've been hearing good things about it. I'd love to see it compared in this category.

I have also heard very good things of the CFMOTO which has made me very curious also. Let me see if i can get my hands on one 👍
CF Moto has the same engine as the phased out KTM 790.CF Moto actually made KTM 790 engine for KTM.
Brightness on the screen can be adjusted. And the screen isn't TFT but LCD
Of course it's a LCD, dammm. My bad 😬

Boas curvas :)
That's a very interesting comment 👍
Was it the lack of power that just didn't tickle your fancy?
@@punkrockdidi What do you thing of the Guzzi? I find the 855 quite interesting🤔
@punkrockdidi great feedback. Thanks for that 👍
I'd also prefer my next bike to be shaftdriven. Lets see 🤔
very nice explanations mate, great and thanks!
Hi There 🖐
That's great! Unfortunately that wasn't my experience..
I rate standing, because i stand up a lot, especially off road.
Pillion is of no interest to me, so i don't rate it :)
As you see, choosing a motorcycle is a very individual decision. What is important to some, may not be for others :)

Honestly? For big city traffic, best would be a scooter 😁 But you know this and don't want one. I do not blame you 😂
Up till now, the only one i find a little cumbersome in traffic was the Tracer 9. All the others were great. But that does not mean the tracer 9 cannot perfectly handle big city traffic, it can, perfectly well. It just won't be as nimble and relaxing as the rest.

Hi there🖐
Until now, the only ADV i've tried that doesn't buffet is the BMW GSA...
It's amazing, it's like many things, you can spend a small fortune but not necessarily be as good and sometimes worse.

I don't think so. From experience i know they are extremely competent bikes, but we are just not to fond of the looks on either 😔
It's not a full no yet, but highly doubtful as the very least.

the 660 has more power and handling for hills, twisties. tracer hp, size is difficult ?

Vou continuando a tentar 💪

Regarding the buffeting it maynot be the same for you and someone who's shorter, so it's not fair to judge that.
@@tiagomilhazes43543 bmw R1250RT 👍
@@John_Neves Thank you for the suggestion but i was thinking something a little bit cheaper xD like 10k max
Thse bikes are amazing for what you need 👍
Maxi trails are also an option, but most have wind buffeting and as they sit high up, they will usually not be so stable as a sports tourer/tourer. 👍
I’m sorry but l could not find the Tracer9vs… video that you mention here 😊
I actually have the video done, i just haven't managed to finish editing yet 😬
Sorry for that 😔
@@John_Neves Good, waiting 😁
how does it handle? Too wet for me to find out!!! Nice screwdriver though! REALLY?1
Verry informative series. Thx
Many thanks! 😁
I'm just happy people value this kind of information, as opposed to the regular, horsepower, brakes and suspension kind of reviews 😜
I wish there was a sub-700cc sport tourer with shaft drive.
I agree.
I think that would actually make a perfect tourer 👍
Lighter, enough power and ease of maintenance 😎
Make sure you test the Moto Guzzi V85TT. A really enjoyable travel bike.
I love the guzzi's style.
I'll be testing one for sure 👍
Dude, the Tracer 7 is not a TFT screen, it's an LCD screen.
Yeah.. it is indeed. Silly narrative mistake 👍
I know its a great bike, and that storage was extremely clever... but the looks.... i just couldn't live with them 🤣
Yes, Jack sure has a Helmet 🤣🤣
Definitely the right choice will be the Honda Nc750x dct. Low fuel, front tank, automatic transmission, long life and cheap and long maintenance intervals
@@Forever18358 Definitely. I think I'm getting one.
@@1990-t1j I bought it, I am very satisfied, I definitely recommend it to you
@@Forever18358 Thank you, Ismail.
So, it has great suspension and is more comfortable than the Tiger...and for me a more characterful engine. I would go with Tracer 7.
Very good review; great editing. But for my size, needs and likes, I bought the tiger 660. Congratulations on your beautiful wife.
Thanks man. The triumph is an excellent bike. I loved it. It's just not the best for our needs. 👍
Happy riding 🏍
Completely subjective, rode both bikes hated the tracer loved the triumph a much smoother ride. Two friends owned tracers, both had horrible engine problems almost from new.
Totally agree. Subjectivity is the base of all opinions. This is just mine. I'm looking for a pair of bikes, and I'll buy the bikes i felt were best for me 👍
Others may not agree, and that's fine 😁
Hello why dont you considerAprilia tuareg 660
Hey there 👋
The Tuareg seems like a fantastic machine and i am going to try to get my hands on one 👍
Pois... é preciso escolher muito bem...
Ok but... I'm still buying the Tiger 660 for quality/price ratio, finishing & design, and dash features.
What bout fuel consumption? Im not sure that I've seen this information in the video. Thnk you
Hi there 👋
Truth is, I didn't measure fuel consumption because it will depend on so many factores...
Cheers
You're missing the MotoGuzzi V85TT
I'm actually very interested in that bike 🤫
great content! subbed for more
Lately Yamaha doesn't care about the quality at all ...
I admit the Triumph does feel quite premium compared to the Tracer, but it's not without it's twerks also 👍
@@John_Neves i use wilbers springs it's quite good not like the öhlins but the bike become way better and the rear wilbers suspension is adjustable
@@John_Neves the other thing I never tried the 700 tracer , but I did try the 900 what is 3 cilinder as the triumphs and the worst thing with that was after 30-40 Kms I didn't feel my hands they got numbed from the vibrations , I never had that with any triumphs ,
And the other thing was the throttle response in corners when u come out I pulled the gas and I felt no reaction at all for a while and all of a sudden every power come and I felt like that the bike will fly out under me .
To enjoy the bike, you really have to switch every thing off 👍
That's what i did, and i enjoyed the engine very much actually 😁
You compare two motorcycles, but in the video you mainly show Yamaha. How can you compare maneuvering, for example, if you can only see how you do it on one motorcycle? This material looks like an advertisement, not a comparison.
we didn't get the tracer 7 in the states. Kind of a shame.
Really? The tracer is a great bike 👍
Breaks?
Yeah. I was too late to correct it. I was hoping no one would notice 😁😁
Good video 👏👏👏👌
Thank you 👍
I like the 3 cylinder Triumph
It's a very nice bike 👍
What about the Kawasaki Versys 650
What about price?
For the time being price is not an issue for us. With payment plans, nowadays you can practically buy whatever you want 😁
@@John_Neves Don't you count your money or what?
I'm not from EU or USA so loans in my country is like 30%+ a year. We do look at the prices. So when you tell for example that this is 4 and Yamaha is 7 you forget that Yamaha is almost x2 triumph in price
@@Yanas_Olyah Wow 30% is a lot of money for a loan :S
The price of these bikes is actually quite similar where i live, so that's why it doesn't really matter :)
@@John_Neves you are a lucky one. Currently in Moscow for a new Triumph 660 the price is 20000$ (all stock. No additional equipment) and Yamaha is not available on the market at all. 😂
@@Yanas_Olyah 20 000? Oh my 😮
