Thanks tons. Same here but for a lot of these editorials, they need images the next day so digital is required sometimes. Shoot one for them and one for me...
80mm on the Contax. 63mm on the GFX. For the still life images, those were all me, no stylist involved. Just something I do and am encouraging you do to when on a shoot.
Beautiful location AND shots. Something more engaging about Inside Look photoshoots that i love. Love BTS footage too, what camera/lens was used just out of curiosity?
Very informative on technique and ideas on promoting. You mentioned to post images that could lead to one being hired.... Not very familiar with social media, so what would you advise to post onto, or should one get a website? Many thanks, Mark.
Hey Mark. Good questions. It really depends if you're trying to get hired and by who. A website is definitely recommended. But posting on Instagram is one of the main recommended places you should also be posting. It's like a modern day, 2nd portfolio.
Great shoot. In regards to location scouting... are you in charge or does the agency/client provide you a list? 50/50 , 90/10? Would love to see a sample breakdown of what your invoice looks like.
For something like this, they had the location as Nobu Hotels is an advertiser in the magazine and they wanted to feature the property. BUT, once there, all of the location scouting was up to me. I could confirm with them but ultimately I was in control of where we were shooting what. I also coordinated the locations with the stylist so we could choose the right outfit for each spot. Feel free to ask more questions if you have them.
For the invoice, it is generally a day rate. Often film is just something I shoot and I assume that cost within my day rate or other times I will add that as a separate expense: Film + Processing or if there's travel expeses, things like that.
@@FilmSupplyClub Thank you for the response. Question... life happens. Great communication is key but if there is a no show mua, stylist and show can't go on...dou you have insurance for these types of incidents? Any tips to amend the relationship?
Dang those 67 shots are insane. Really cool to see all of those shots next to each other! Are you using the archetype process or anything for the gfx files?
I always love watching you shoot! Great video! Thank you so much for you all your education!
Thanks Brady. I go by Brady as well (at least my old by my family and old school friends).
@@FilmSupplyClub No way! I love that! If you're ever in Palm Springs and need an assistant, I'd love to help you out!
I came here first, nice vlog!!! You have all very good film cameras. Thank you for sharing❤❤❤Fantastic photos, btw👍👍👍
thanks so much Salmone. Trying to provide value to the film shooting community!
@@FilmSupplyClub Thank you , I like it, I mean it
THANK YOU for the Pentax 67 loading tip (or trick)! I’ve always had the toughest time getting the spool to sit properly. What a fantastic idea!
Oh man! That one was massive when I learned it. It makes such a difference loading that camera.
Love "real life" video walkthroughs like this that show folks the business end of shooting with film. Great video - thank you.
such great feedback. Thanks tons and glad you liked it.
Love you work, Braedon! You're one of my fav. photographers. Thanks for taking us along.
wow. what a rad compliment. Thanks David.
Love the shots with the 67!
It is seriously one of the most amazing cameras. Thanks for the comment and compliments!
The Pentax look is exquisite.
As a film shooter ( RZ and 10x8 ) i have to say , the quality of those GFX files is next level …
It's a pretty good camera system. And the size of the files is something to talk about as well. No need for rezzing up the scans.
Fuji shots are just outstanding
That camera is pretty rad.
Some paradise place , really ....sublimated by the photographer, of course 😊👍
This was really cool to see. I'm moving to the city and toying with the idea of shooting fashion again
Inspiration level 1000. Thank you!
You are so welcome! Thanks for that feedback.
Great location + B-Roll Snaps.
Glad you enjoyed it
nice work and fantastic channel. I'm just getting started into all things film and love your content.
so glad to hear that! Reach out with any film or camera related questions! Stoked you're getting started with film.
Great shoot. The GFX stood out most to me.
It's a solid camera. Thanks for commenting.
Excelent work! I must say I much preferred your film work over digital.
Thanks tons. Same here but for a lot of these editorials, they need images the next day so digital is required sometimes. Shoot one for them and one for me...
@@FilmSupplyClub I see. That is fair enough.
Awesome content.! Definitely inspired!!💫💫💫🥰🥰🥰
So glad to hear it!
Great images and story. Could you detail what lenses you used with each camera. Thanks. Did a stylist set up the still life images?

What camera was used to film the video? Looks amazing.
Sony system

Which film lab did you use?
Richard Photo Lab in Los Angeles

This was great, but it would be good to hear how you direct the model too 😀
The film SINGS and SHINES far better than the GFX and a majority of these samples.... and that is why I love film so damn much!
110% - film for the win. A lot of commercial gigs need film next day but I still shoot film for my own work because it typically is better.
Dang those 67 shots are insane. Really cool to see all of those shots next to each other! Are you using the archetype process or anything for the gfx files?
Glad to hear that Jeff. For the GFX files, just using Lightroom for editing. Hope that helps
The 67 shots overall IMHO are the best "look"
The GFX shots are great but a different kind of great. They look too contrasty next to the Portra.
totally agree. And that's why it's fun to compare. The Pentax 67 is hands down my favorite camera.
MAN! No shout out for the SX-70!
Glad you did! The SX-70 is so rad.
What has they silly girl done to her lips !!! Awful
Yeah I really do not get the botox lip look at all. Film is subtle models ought to be too.
Why do all of your film images look super washed out? I hope you didn't deliver them to the client like that.
Не делай так больше, не твоё это, не твоё!
