They were clearly trying to capture the cartoon back thing wildrider had going on on his back but it’s still so ridiculous 😂 also stunticons having purple eyes is the best 😍
@@PerspectiveEnd yeah he has a fender/bumper thing on his back that splits out. Similar to how his backpack breaks apart. Fanstoys tried to replicate it too
Dead End turned out to be better than I expected, even though the legs look weird it is only on side few that they look like that. His vehicle mode is the strongest out of the two modes and has a much better backpack than Wildrider, quite amazing how Hasbro couldn’t do that for him and could for this figure! Overall I like this figure much more than I originally did and am glad that I now have him and another step closer to getting Menasor.
Wildrider used a lot of engineering from the CW toys and has to work that way to get the leg looking the way the designers wanted, plus they more or less have the same backpack.
If i think about Deadend is from the ROTF comics Where he becomes a Vampire who searches for spare parts from other cybertronians Because his body started to rot away unable to transform Deadend fights the Autobots and he eventually encounters Sam and bumblebee, deadend tries to eat Sam but bee defeats him But in the end Deadend is still alive searching for spare parts
I like the clashing of estatics in the combined mode, shows the clashy nature of the group, how each don’t feel like they belong but yet they still fit with each other the most out of any combiner imo
Fun fact that issue with the back end not pegging in I have that same issue with my Dragstrip but it really is a shame what happened to the stunticons and with wave 3 of legacy.
The trunk section of the car is fine. You just need to fold the feet in more, they click down so the little heel spur/engine vents bit is underneath the layer with the back window, not flush with it. Why does no reviewer actually transform him properly and all mis-report this as an issue? (I suggest a pin on this for the benefit of everyone else trying to transform the thing, but it's up to you.)
I'll point it out here, since I haven't seen anyone yet: I personally love this figure, but I almost tossed it to the side because of that "QC issue" with the feet on the vehicle mode... Except it isn't a problem. The instructions themselves zoom in on the two SMALL tabs at the tips of the feet in front of the venting detail that actually tab into slots in the back of the car. Easily missed? Absolutely, but the clip of the feet actually tabs in rather solidly once this MINOR adjustment has been made, and the alt mode fits together all the more perfectly because of it. Is it stupidly hard to miss? Yes, yes it is, and that is why everyone thinks it's a QC issue when it really isn't. Does that make it suck any less, though? Not really, but it at least fixes a key gripe most people have with the alt mode.
yep i looked up on reddit and there are some photo guides one how to do it correctly, its def not a smooth experience but not an issue one you know how to do it
@@PerspectiveEnd once i found out the back of the feet click into place when you transformer them and you have to do that first before pushing the legs together it helped. Not sure if i explained it in text well but the pics online helped, bummer if you cant get yours to work of course
@@PerspectiveEnd Right, and that tab locks the feet together to each other better after you click the backs of the feet into the roof of the car. You'll have to look at the instructions or at some pictures online, but there are small slots that the barely-there tabs on his heals use to lock into the roof portion of each calf. They help keep the rear end solid in car mode. Granted, if the QC on your copy makes it so they can't even lock in back there, then I'm sorry for your bad luck of the draw on that one. Honestly, in my opinion, Dead End is the second best out of the Stunticons so far, but that may just be personal bias because he's my favorite out of the combiner.
I am surprised with the QC on this thing, since mine had perfectly fine QC and the rear end of the car stays in place. Because of these reasons, I really like mine and it think it looks pretty cool. I like how in your video you addressed it looked cool but had bad QC. I wished you had gotten one with better QC since it is a really good figure in my opinion. I like how objective your content is, keep up the good work.
A few people are telling me that now, which I didn't even realize those figures exist. So because people were mentioning that to me I went through to see what I could do to try and fix it, and so I cut off a Tab that was meant to hold it together, and now... It works. It's got a SLIGHT split down the middle but it's 10x better than it was before.
Appreciate the review as usual. A lot of reviewers are not harsh enough with problems. For me the only deal breaker is the way the back end of vehicle mode doesn’t fit. It’s almost the same engineering as drag strip but they stuffed up the tab in the legs. Maybe sanding it down will help. But I found pushing the heels down further than they’re are supposed to on top of car mode seems to help close the gaps. 🤷♂️ my 2 cents
What's funny is someone told me I was actually the nicest to this one of any of the reviewers they've seen. I have done some destructive editing on this thing and it's better for sure.
Even though Breakdown is under the Evolution lineup to release next year, while still having the regular Legacy title and box art packaging, Dead End sadly ends the Legacy year 1 Stunticons figures on a bad note. Still got him for Legacy Menasor. As I still want to complete the Stunticon combiner team. -Looking forward to the 10k subscriber special, the week of roasts, and hope your lost Shockwave turns up.
dead end: g1: good design reflects a depressed man roft: is despreate to even do the worst tfp: litterally a zombie tfa: a depressed poet cyberverse: done with everyone one's shit yep found my spirit animal
The only real problem I personally see me having with this is the back of the car not tabbing in. I think the combined mode arm looks fine, and I don't need a ton of possibility to enjoy a figure. Probably still going to get this one mainly for completionist's sake. This is unrelated, but just yesterday I got Legacy Jhiaxus from my local target, who was a WONDERFUL surprise. Definitely a highlight of the year for me. The other choices were Armada Starscream and Rog (excluding the buzzworthy stuff and the leaders). The former of which, I'm very excited to see you cover, because he looks REALLY cool.
I could have tolerated the poseablity pretty easily, it's still a negative point, but I HATE the way it looks attached to the arm. I'm so glad to hear that you enjoy Jhiaxus, he rules.
Gotta say, when I woke up to this in my notifications this morning, I actually thought this review was another Roast-a-mans, and I immediately clicked on it. Only to realize that it was a Legacy Deadend review. Derp :P But I still enjoyed this because I believe that out of all the people who reviewed this figure that I watched, you sir are the most generous reviewer of this thing. Sure you still had some problems with it, and still called it a not good figure for that matter, but you had the most positives to say while still pointing out the flaws. So good on you for that. Also, you transforming Deadend with his right arm on his left side at 2:46 reminded me of the Titanic Twister monster from What's New Scooby Doo. And finally, at 3:20, there actually was a version of Deadend in the Transformers Animated toyline who was a repaint of Jazz with a mustache on his face, no faceplate. No joke.
That's actually hilarious to hear, because literally yesterday, I was accused of being everything wrong and negative about our fandom, and that I'm never positive about figures. So me being the most positive here is actually weird.
@@PerspectiveEnd Wow. I'm sorry to hear about that, dude. The way I see it, while you have cons to mention about everything that you review (I mean, come on. Everything will have something wrong with it. Nothing is perfect.), I like to think that you have such a dedication to the franchise that just happens to rub most people the wrong way, with the exception of myself, and possibly some others. Also, another way I see it, you have a charm with your "negativity" that is more entertaining and fun to witness than toxic or unreasonable.
It's fine don't worry about it. I paid it no actual mind, it was just funny to me how it's the opposite of how you felt. And I'm glad I manage to not be unbearable with it.
My first decepticon figure was was the ROTF version of Dead End. I was quite interested in picking this figure up hoping the look of the legs were the only downside. But the horrendous articulation and QC issues made me reconsider my decision
Watch prime vs prime there's little tabs on the bottom back of the feet and it tabs in right by the back windows. Sorry if I didn't make any sense, prime vs prime will clear things up
@@DiggitySlice the kibble's a guaranteed feature, even the MP couldn't do it better. The problem is the lion face. I can see two ways this can be fixed. 1. Make the lion mode look robotic. 2. Make the lion mode cartoon accurate.
I managed to get a Dead End that actually tabs together at the back of the car, which really makes the car mode pretty good. But it annoys me how the kibble on his legs get in the way of his posing. What they should have done is for the legs to transform similar to Wildrider's, so that the fattest part of the car is at his feet, not his knees. It would have made the kibble looked better distributed and helped with posing. Can't believe I just complimented the engineering on Wildrider
Well Borderlands fan. Metal Gear Knower Of. But I don't remember Referenceing Borderlands... Oh wait shit. You think the I Can Have Such a Thing is a Reference to Borderlands, but no I was referencing the thing Borderlands was Referencing with the Thunder Ball Fists, which is The Super Infra Man which is an Amazing Shaw Brothers Movie.
I won't lie, I love this figure. I love Dead-End, mainly for the ROTF comic, and mine doesn't have any QC issues and the back of the car actually tabs in. But not my favourite of wave 3, that either goes to Megatron or Inferno
Mine is good too but the back doesn’t tab in which is a shame, ultimately he’s a good looking figure in both modes. Plus I’d agree with your comment on BW Inferno and TM II Megatron, they’re great and possibly some of wave three’s bests?!
For me personally, I’ve been a little hesitant to get dead end but now looking at it I am going to try to get a dead end for myself. I already have the combiner wars version, and I wasn’t really in it for the Menasor, but just his own individual character for lack of a better word. I do like the design of dead end for legacy and assign for maybe just buying one of great sets to fix the feet on probably more than likely just gonna touch up on the figure with a little bit of Tamiya paint to break up the burgundy.
Man... this looked so good! Damn! I am going to finish Menasor, but I am so disappointed... this guy looked so cool! And We know Breakdown is a retool of Wild rider...
Kinda like dead end, more then breakdown and wild rider, also slightly unrelated, but in the bb cybertron scene, is acid storm in it, because theres someone who shares the green with thrust yet has no cone head, best way to point out to where i saw him is after the “finish them line” the seeker closest is the one who i think could be acid storm
@@PerspectiveEnd rewatching the scene, he definitely looks more blue or turquoise, i guess i just assumed he was green ,but theres no red so maybe hes a different rain maker, but idk, since when he dies he spins around theres another colour on the back of his wings, and it looks kinda yellow or lime Edit: the other colour is only a stripe on the wing tips, specifically the part on the ss seekers thats loose
I JUST figured out why the back end seems kind of a mess, after watching this & reading comments that every version has the flaws, but some hold together! (But before reading others post about this.) We've been missing something. Mine's been an arm, for most of my owning him, so I took just the rear of the car off, to see if I was missing something, & found the problem. His heels have tiny tabs, meant to plug in under the roof. There are little gaps where they plug in, that I mistook for cost cutting hollowness. Plug them in, align the spoiler & that tab (if there's a gap), & it holds together, now! It can take a bit of fiddling with, once you have everything tabbed in, to have it sit properly. Also, my wheels haven't fallen off.
I was aware of that but the problem is they couldn't go at the same time because of the tab that was meant to lock the feet together. I cut that off and now it works as intended.
you hit Every single nail on the head with this one I thought it was just me but to hear that the qc is universal is just so depressing.........if it weren't for me already pre-ordering breakdown I would of just quit. thank you once again my man.
Leave it to Deadend to not care about the QC and tell those who bought them 'deal with it.' I still might pick this up. It was either this or spending like €45 for CW Deadend
I might buy this one. When i see it, i will pick it up. I am not doing the combiner. But deadend is my favorite of the 5….somehow. Maybe its the cyberpunk thing like you said. Its my thing since i was a kid somehow. Everything that i like as a kid was all in the cyberpunk genre.
I just saw the leaked jukion dos and animated prowl, that lead me to an idea: legacy iguanus could be retooled into a mini junkion, they have similar aesthetics (like shoulder spikes and being motorcycles
seeing as most CHUG combiners have limb bots that are just below average on the posing, makes le dant a combiner that's closer to the old power core combiners where the limbs were just vehicles and the core robot was a dude (of course changing the size class because the torsi being a scout class was really what killed the line)
@@PerspectiveEnd I mean, TJ omega did an episode on them and the verdict was that they had too many gimmicks and not enough budget/not high enough of a price-point. so I think a new version without the automorth and who's more expensive wouod be a good idea.
@@PerspectiveEnd yeah if you look up how g1 dead end looks he has the leg wheels on the inside of his legs, they molded them into the figure but they left them both unpainted and smooth. I really think they could have put in more engineering in the legs the make them better
I got the G2 version of this guy a while back, and while I love the guy and his bright red coloration and shiny shiny blue paint, yeah, the issue with the rear end pervades. I'm almost certain with how universal it is AND it affecting the redeco too, this is just a case of bad design. Somebody somewhere along the line got the tolerance numbers on the multiple different plastics going on back there (the hard plastic of the legs, the softer plastic of the spoiler/feet, and the textured plastic of the foot-hinge) so very, very wrong. I transformed and untransformed him multiple times the night he arrived, and eventually came to the conclusion that A) the hinge piece that attaches the feet/trunk to the main body of the car is too thick, causing his ankles to push against each other when in vehicle mode, and B) the tabs at the ends of the foot/trunk area that are supposed to tab into the main body of the car are too thick After taking a file to his ankles and those tabs, I can say that the issue is completely resolved. The amount I had to shave off was so, so small, a millimeter or less on each part, but when we're talking a figure the size of an average glass of water, that's a significant amount of bad tolerancing. Anyway, hope you don't mind me leaving comments on your videos that are 1, 2, or 3 years old. I only discovered your channel in the past couple months, and I've been watching your videos completely non-linearly, as the titles stick out to me.
I picked that up too and reviewed it in the Repaints Palooza 3. I found the tampo on the side almost inexplicable. It's amazing how they screwed up what should have just been a classic tab Opperation. And no I don't mind. Sorry if I don't respond to all of them but I still respond to the majority of comments on my channel.
@@PerspectiveEnd Yeah that fireball is sure... Something. He looks way better in robot mode for sure. I'll probably just cover that up with ToyHax because I do like the rest of him. And hey no worries, apologies if I made it seem like I was concerned about getting responses lol. The fact that you respond to so many comments is astounding in and of itself, I was just concerned about bothering you for reasons I now see as irrational. Your videos are the first time I've ever tried being active in the comments section in my entire decade and a half as a user on this website, so I'm not entirely sure of comment section etiquette. Idk why only now, tbh I'm not exactly sure what changed, but here I am blabbering on lol.
I just found an entire Walmart shelf filled with Legacy wave 3, including MULTIPLE Deadends. What in the name of Devastator’s ever changing eyes is Hasbro’s distribution right now?
What do you think is the best Deluxe in Kingdom? I didn't see your answer. Who should be the villain of a Velocitron arc? 1. Motormaster 2. Getaway If not those, then what character you know can fit that role? The arm stunticons are so cool. Legacy Dragstrip and Dead End look unironically amazing. I hope I don't get as astronomically awful QC as your copy cause I actually want this. And the Legacy Starscream. The limited posing's just your incredibly unlucky QC, I've seen another video and the hips are fine. I'm gonna get Legacy Menasor someday, but I need to get Bruticus first, the members are so unique and awesome. I love Victory Leo's design... except for the head. The face should've been inside the lion mouth like Voltron.
I said if we aren't just looking at the BW stuff it's probably Warpath. I feel like Getaway, but at the same time Motormaster doesn't get a lot of staring roles as main Villain, so probably him. If you do get the Bad QC, I think I may have a video to help in the works.
That’s not the issue I have The feet are fine it’s the legs themselves that don’t stay together. So the back of the vehicle mode is split down the middle on mine
Your copy seems to sit more flush to the arm than my Dead-end does😄. I have to unfortunately agree, the only legacy stunticon that's really wowed me is Dragstrip. Already all in on the squad, but just "being better than CW Menasor" is such a low bar to walk over.
Wow that sucks, mine sticks so far away there's a gap under it and everything. how did they Fuck yours up so badly. It's just it feels like they showed off the Good ones first, and then waited till we were invested to release the bad ones.
I hate this Dead End's legs from the knee down, with the calves and the feet that don't look like feet. And I had no intentions of getting the Legacy Stunticons, and I still don't.
well I got mine today and it has the issues you've got. I fixed the less then 90 degress forward legs by taking it apart and sanding the crouch down. I tried to fix the feet tabbing in for transformation (I was stupid and sanded the tab down a tiny bit and now it won't tab in even with super glue added)
Yeah just being honest with myself and the world. While yes legacy menasor is most likely the better built and better looking figure I'm just gonna go with the CW lot as I actually want the stunticons to partake in scramble city functionality and I honestly don't have to many gripes with the look of the CW. I mean I recognise it's flaws I know it isn't the best but honestly that adds to the charm of the set.
Still debating between trying to find the Magic Square team or wait for the NewAge.for mine. New Age is starting with Breakdown and the preliminary cad leaks of him look pretty amazing. I know I really like their Constructicons.
@@PerspectiveEnd Kinda need one for my G1 collection. But they're not the highest priority. Wish there was a Legends scale Bruticus by NewAge or Magic Square.
Just needed to add buying two Dragstrips would make for a better combined mode than tacking on Deadend. As it stands I've got Motormaster, Wildrider, and Dragstrip with the final two on preorder. Breakdown is definitely the weakest as Hasbro couldn't even budget in the correct alt mode despite being exactly the same as Wildrider with the addition of a spoiler instead of two guns. Hasbro definitely dropped the ball after the first two team members, but all things considered this still makes a better combined effort than the Combiners War iteration. Just going to tack on Deadend, and Breakdown whenever they arrive and call it a day.
Literally just got mine today, and he feels the most... complete out of the Stunticons? Like, Wildrider and Breakdown just plain suck, Dragstrip feels like something's missing from it despite being an amazing figure, and Motormaster suffers in vehicle mode while having absolute tree legs in robot mode.
Well, my dead end holds together in the feet fine. I found out that the heels are tabs and the feet kinda shift downward into place. so if you push onto the heels it might tab is but you might also have to push on the back too. So either mine is the ONLY one in existence to work properly of the intructions are so bad just mushing it together on a bike is better.
The upper body on it is good, and I could see some third party company making new better ones to replace the legs and dead ends lower body. also the clip holding the feet together on mine broke and the one holding the calf in place should be slid out via opening the shins. third I unpeg the legs from torso by simply holding it my front and back and cracking it like a glowstick. finaly my front tires also don't pop off easily so I think mine is just the most blessed copy in existence.
Happy to hear at least a few people got a good version of that. I knew about the tabs by mine didn't work even still. It would be remarkably easy to replace the lower body what with the split in half gimmick.
@@PerspectiveEnd Yeah, but one depressing thing is that you can't switch dragstrips and dead ends lower half's for dumb fun and make goofy abominations.
I got dead end earlier today, my version does connect at the back and roll pretty well. The shoulder tires don’t fall of either, so the only issues on mine is kinda loose legs and sub-par articulation. I still don’t want want the other stunticons, but I might get shadow strip if it comes out in my area
@@PerspectiveEnd Mine had that issue at first, eventually got each foot to click into the leg and then connected them together, seems more like a slight tolerance issue that can work itself out.
Seems that aside from Combiner Wars Deadend, it seems that Deadend is just cursed and doomed to suck: the "BW" and Tigerwing oversized KOs of Magic Square Deadend (and maybe even Magic Square's itself) are riddled with issues, especially in combined mode...the Deadend by Rising Force seems like it could be even worse...just wow.
Walmart’s distribution is so bad that today is the first time I’ve seen ANY wave 3 deludes. I grabbed Dead End here … and think you may have actually undersold the suck. Bot mode isn’t bad, and mine doesn’t have the loose joints, but DAMN, does it NOT want to fit together in car mode. I can’t fathom how they botched the remold of such a good mold, but here we are. DEEP HURTING.
I feel like Dead End would take all these critiques in stride. It's not necessarily that he has thick skin; he's just going to shrug his shoulders and accept it as a part of his life.
I know that you've got no hopes or dreams, Dead End, but I didn't know that you had a death wish, an example of this being your reverse Mega Man boots, instead of widening from the knee to the foot, the bottom half of your legs get narrower the lower they go, meaning you have a very unstable base of support, which means you could topple over at any second while walking if you don't balance yourself, and considering how pessimistic you are, I don't think that you would mind getting into one of Wily's deathtraps and falling onto a 1 foot tall spike pit to end up killing yourself because you took a wrong step.
I personally refused to let them ruin my precious boy with brittle clear plastic. I am really sorry about the posability and QC though, my bad:( The purple visor was also a nice touch by the painters, especially because it’s my favorite colour
Seems like he's saying he's the designer. I'll post this, here, too, in case that's actually true: I JUST figured out why the back end seems kind of a mess, after watching this & reading comments that every version has the flaws, but some hold together! We've been missing something. Mine's been an arm, for most of my owning him, so I took just the rear of the car off, to see if I was missing something, & found the problem. Plug them in, align the spoiler & that tab (if there's a gap), & it holds together, now! It can take a bit of fiddling with, once you have everything tabbed in, to have it sit properly. (New bit) Looking at his instructions, the heels tabbing in isn't indicated. It just shows to flip the feet up. Also, it is easy to knock it all out of alignment, which causes a split. Easy to fix, by squeezing it back into shape & realigning the spoiler tab. (After posting, I saw others comment about it, too.)
@@remus_lupin Thanks for your input! Consider the work I did on the figure was purely figuring out how to reshape the dragstrip skeleton into deadend, the whole debacle about the tabs on the back wasn’t me I promise:) also sorry for only seeing this like a year later
really interested to see your future vids on Leader TM 2 Megatron and Inferno since they are out and the only ones that interest me.....well....not for their current prices of course but ya know. For Deadend im happy enough with it, it doesnt feel to me to similar to dragstrip and more effort seems to have been put into him them Breakdown at least. Hope you have a good christmas/holidays sir
i thought you could attach the stunticons however you wanted onto motormaster? or is it not the case? cause this guy would definetly belong on the calves with how jank he is on the arm
That is not the case no. This guy can only go on the legs, and if I'm not wrong, it only fits one of the legs, but I might just be incorrect about that, but the arms only fit specific sides. At least fit well.
Time for a non transformers review. Marvel Legends mark 1 armor suit Spider-Man. He looks so damn cool, the silver pops so hard and it vaguely makes him look like a knight. Pose ability is great aside from no butterflies but other than that I’m happy to have picked him up. He’s also really solid in terms of joints.
I was going to get the legacy Stunticons at first but the qc is all over the place and this one costs twice as much than the previous combiner wars one. The combiner wars may be a pile of crud but atleast it is more durable. And nothing hasn't yellowed on mine yet. Since owning it for 7 and a half years.
It just feels that hasbro got lazy towards wave three and went all in with engineering and paint for their legacy evolution line just based on the reviews here on UA-cam with those that got early copies. Its annoying that Hasbro hikes their prices and gives us this and point blank. Lately I've been investing in MMC while Hasbro gives us these duds. Currently I've purchased MMC IDW Deathsaurus, and MMC Rodimus is in my loot pile. MMC war within Optimus is on pre-order which is the pexus design with new paint, new weapons, new head sculpt and some slight tooling. I miss out on the Optus so I jumped on this one. Looking forward to the roast a mans, lol simply hilarious 🤣
Maybe that's what it is, it's just so weird that Wave 3 is such a Clusterfuck. I've never seen a line FACEPLANT this hard. I just grabbed the MMC war within Optimus my self.
I don't exactly have a CW Menasor, I've got the component parts of one across a couple different teams. Like I don't have a Motor Master, I have an Optimus Prime.
Feel bad for asking because it's not related to the video but do you plan on reviewing legacy inferno and transmetal 2 megatron? Thanks for the review perspectiveend, great as always!
Yes, of course. It's just that they are very hard to come bye... Also I mean I'm reviewing these things as fast as I can, there's only so much time in the day and all that.
Eveyone saying the new combiners are going to be a big guy wearing vehicles but I don’t think so. Menasor is like that because that’s what he is. The rest will most likely be normal.

Not really, but it at least fixes a key gripe most people have with the alt mode.
yep i looked up on reddit and there are some photo guides one how to do it correctly, its def not a smooth experience but not an issue one you know how to do it
I noticed that tab, it doesn't work on mine, it just flexes right out of it's recess so it wont lock in even when I put it in the right place.
So I just cut that tab off, and it actually made the whole thing work a lot better.
There's a tab on the heels that go into a hole in the leg. You kinda have to force it, but it fixes the gap in the back.
I knew about that but there was another problem. I actually had to cut off the tab that held the feet together to fix the problem.
It is unfortunate, but I did modify my Dead End to work better since this came out with a little destructive customization.
dead end:
g1: good design reflects a depressed man
roft: is despreate to even do the worst
tfp: litterally a zombie
tfa: a depressed poet
cyberverse: done with everyone one's shit
yep found my spirit animal
I'm happy for you.
I have since learned something that may help so I'll make a video soon.
And now Dead end has an actual reason to be that pessimistic.
Anyone I review has a reason to be.
Watch prime vs prime there's little tabs on the bottom back of the feet and it tabs in right by the back windows. Sorry if I didn't make any sense, prime vs prime will clear things up
That was not my problem, I released a short on how I corrected mine.
It’d be hilarious if Lio Convoy ends up being the best figure in the entire line and that’s where the budget went
Well he's from Legacy Evolution.
Not with that kibble he's not
@@DiggitySlice the kibble's a guaranteed feature, even the MP couldn't do it better.
That would have definitely helped with this design, glad yours is better than mine.
Nice to see a borderlands fan and a metal gear fan here.
I'm glad to hear you are having a better time with yours.
Mine is good too but the back doesn’t tab in which is a shame, ultimately he’s a good looking figure in both modes. Plus I’d agree with your comment on BW Inferno and TM II Megatron, they’re great and possibly some of wave three’s bests?!
On the back you need to push the feet down and forward so everything lines up
I am aware but there was a Defect on mine.
For the back of the car you need to push the feet all the way into the cavity
I am aware of that, there was something else preventing it, which I have since chopped off.
Man... this looked so good! Damn! I am going to finish Menasor, but I am so disappointed... this guy looked so cool! And We know Breakdown is a retool of Wild rider...
Yeah I wish I had better news.
The Blue guy who's Standing there with BB Thrust?
@@PerspectiveEnd rewatching the scene, he definitely looks more blue or turquoise, i guess i just assumed he was green ,but theres no red so maybe hes a different rain maker, but idk, since when he dies he spins around theres another colour on the back of his wings, and it looks kinda yellow or lime
Edit: the other colour is only a stripe on the wing tips, specifically the part on the ss seekers thats loose
4:43 took me back to markipliers fnaf 4 years. Real ones know comrades. Real ones know
It took me a minute to parse what you were saying because instead of Me you wrote My which broke my brain a little.
What can I say I am good at breaking things
Mine wasn't shaped right to fit those tabs so I cut it off and that helped a lot.
What I had to do with mine on the heels I cut off the tab just to make it hold together better
I did the same thing, and that was HUGE improvement on mine.
The heel is not meant to sit flush with the rear window, you can push it in further to get rid of the gaps
You are welcome I wish I had better news.
Leave it to Deadend to not care about the QC and tell those who bought them 'deal with it.'
I still might pick this up. It was either this or spending like €45 for CW Deadend
I think you can probably find a CW one for Cheaper on Ebay. Though the whole set isn't up to snuff.
Cyberpunk is awesome.
Certainly a figure thats for sure, i am still gonna get it for its sick robot mode ‘cause thats how all my figures get put on the shelf
I just saw the leaked jukion dos and animated prowl, that lead me to an idea: legacy iguanus could be retooled into a mini junkion, they have similar aesthetics (like shoulder spikes and being motorcycles
Understandable.
I have seen the leaks too. I will talk about them eventually I'm sure.
seeing as most CHUG combiners have limb bots that are just below average on the posing, makes le dant a combiner that's closer to the old power core combiners where the limbs were just vehicles and the core robot was a dude (of course changing the size class because the torsi being a scout class was really what killed the line)
Thing about the power Core Combiners, is they were like 25 dollars for one set that you bought all at once.
This all together is like 200 dollars.
@@PerspectiveEnd I mean, TJ omega did an episode on them and the verdict was that they had too many gimmicks and not enough budget/not high enough of a price-point.
so I think a new version without the automorth and who's more expensive wouod be a good idea.
I got Dragstrip and it made me excited for the other stunticons now I think I’ll wait for Bruticus.
It's such a sad outcome in the end.
Oh man, this guy feels really dead like its the end.
I see the play on words you did there.
I'm surprised you didn't mention the fact that he has the accurate inside leg wheels molded in but they weren't painted
Inside leg wheels?
@@PerspectiveEnd yeah if you look up how g1 dead end looks he has the leg wheels on the inside of his legs, they molded them into the figure but they left them both unpainted and smooth. I really think they could have put in more engineering in the legs the make them better
Well I think we now know why I didn't mention it.
I transformed and untransformed him multiple times the night he arrived, and eventually came to the conclusion that
A) the hinge piece that attaches the feet/trunk to the main body of the car is too thick, causing his ankles to push against each other when in vehicle mode, and
B) the tabs at the ends of the foot/trunk area that are supposed to tab into the main body of the car are too thick
After taking a file to his ankles and those tabs, I can say that the issue is completely resolved.
Hasbro: "We're gonna make you pay more for lower quality, isn't that great?!"
Stans: "YAYYYY!"
Everyone else: "Uh...no?"
Yeah, would you believe some people complain at me for being too uptight about that.
I'm so glad you didn't point out the headlights they look like that cuz there pop ups
They still got painted too which is the interesting part.
@@PerspectiveEnd no that bit folds up
I just found an entire Walmart shelf filled with Legacy wave 3, including MULTIPLE Deadends. What in the name of Devastator’s ever changing eyes is Hasbro’s distribution right now?
I really like Deadend as a character, at least I always thought of him as a cynical, depressed and manipulative guy
I don't think he was ever manipulative, but that does otherwise describe him.
What do you think is the best Deluxe in Kingdom?
I didn't see your answer.
Who should be the villain of a Velocitron arc?
1. Motormaster
2. Getaway
If not those, then what character you know can fit that role?
Honestly I just want this for the combine mode. Cause menasor will be my first Combiner
That's my biggest problem with it, the combined mode makes it worse.
@@PerspectiveEnd if I'm being honest. It doesn't really bother me that much. Yeah it looks a little off but not that bad in my eyes
That’s not the issue I have
The feet are fine it’s the legs themselves that don’t stay together.
So the back of the vehicle mode is split down the middle on mine
That's one I've not heard, interesting.
MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY QC PROBLEM
Merry Christmas to you as well, but I hope you don't have QC problems.
I just realized something! The legs remind me of the CW jet bots legs!
I got your fix for the tab problem before I got to this video
That's hilarious.
I cannot find him in stock anywhere. In store or online. Same with inferno
Yeah, it's hard to locate a lot of this stuff right now.
It actually just looks like a combiner wars figure to me
Very similar yes.
If breakdown is going to be a repaint might as well put a color filter over wildriders review and call it a day lol
Maybe as an April fools joke?
That would be an amazing joke.
I hate this Dead End's legs from the knee down, with the calves and the feet that don't look like feet.
And I had no intentions of getting the Legacy Stunticons, and I still don't.
That's a good choice at this point.
well I got mine today and it has the issues you've got. I fixed the less then 90 degress forward legs by taking it apart and sanding the crouch down. I tried to fix the feet tabbing in for transformation (I was stupid and sanded the tab down a tiny bit and now it won't tab in even with super glue added)
I just clipped off that tab entirely, sure there's a split now but at least it sits more flush.
It's so unfortunate that that has to be the case, this so easily could have stepped it up, and overcome.
@@PerspectiveEnd yeah it could have but legacy isn't for everyone
PerspectiveEnd doing the good work. 🙏🏻
Thank you very much.
Still debating between trying to find the Magic Square team or wait for the NewAge.for mine. New Age is starting with Breakdown and the preliminary cad leaks of him look pretty amazing. I know I really like their Constructicons.
I mean are you in for a Legends scale Menasor?
Unfortunately Dragstrip was only designed to fit on the one arm normally...
To be fair almost anything would be better than the CW version.
You hate wildrider as much as i do but wait till you get breakdown, oh boy im waiting for that review of yours
It's such a shame how hard the Phoned that one in. It's an insult.
Maybe the thing with drag strip is the colors
Glad you are liking it more than me. I will say the Transformation is Satisfying. 90% of this things disappointment comes from that altmode.
I dont know what you’re on about, he’s great! Really the only actual issue is that his qc is a tad inconsistent
I don't know, I'm just not feeling this dude.
What shockwave figure? Didn’t you already review the legacy shockwave
I did, there are still more.
Hey, did you ever get g2 ramjet? I got one yesterday and it's pretty great (besides a stress mark on his chest)
I did not, sorry to hear your's is pre damaged.
@@PerspectiveEnd Ya it sucks. However looking at the colors on him, I think he might of inspired Slipstream
I got dead end earlier today, my version does connect at the back and roll pretty well. The shoulder tires don’t fall of either, so the only issues on mine is kinda loose legs and sub-par articulation.
I still don’t want want the other stunticons, but I might get shadow strip if it comes out in my area
Jeez, you won the QC lottery my friend. I was full on convinced that one's like your's don't exits.
He could have been good. They didn't have to phone him in like this.
Perspective are you going to review the MMC Streetwise
Yes I plan to. It's in shipping.
Yes I am already saving for MMC first aid and I am on the fence about Streetwise
I feel like Dead End would take all these critiques in stride. It's not necessarily that he has thick skin; he's just going to shrug his shoulders and accept it as a part of his life.
He doesn't care enough to let this hurt him.
To be fair yeah they are very weird shins really compressing down so much.
That's the joke
I got him for 7 dollars at Walmarts 2 for 1 deal. He’s pretty good. I think his transformer is fun. I understand why people hate it.
Does your copy have the leg issues?
@@PerspectiveEnd not at all
I personally refused to let them ruin my precious boy with brittle clear plastic. I am really sorry about the posability and QC though, my bad:(
The purple visor was also a nice touch by the painters, especially because it’s my favorite colour
What do you mean you refused to let them?
And yeah I agree it looks cool.
@@PerspectiveEnd I mean I specifically made the model of the car with no indents for clear plastic inserts.
Seems like he's saying he's the designer.
I'll post this, here, too, in case that's actually true:
I JUST figured out why the back end seems kind of a mess, after watching this & reading comments that every version has the flaws, but some hold together! We've been missing something. Mine's been an arm, for most of my owning him, so I took just the rear of the car off, to see if I was missing something, & found the problem.
This and Wildrider have made me pretty comfortable with my decision not to go in on the Stunticons.
As they should.
really interested to see your future vids on Leader TM 2 Megatron and Inferno since they are out and the only ones that interest me.....well....not for their current prices of course but ya know.
For Deadend im happy enough with it, it doesnt feel to me to similar to dragstrip and more effort seems to have been put into him them Breakdown at least. Hope you have a good christmas/holidays sir
It has been impossible to find those till now.
Glad you enjoy it more than I do.
And I hope you do as well.
i thought you could attach the stunticons however you wanted onto motormaster? or is it not the case? cause this guy would definetly belong on the calves with how jank he is on the arm
Is that the one that just got announced? I saw something like that on Show Z?

I hope everyone loves what I have planned.
I really wish this set had turned out better, it started with so much promise.
I prefer CW Dead End's head sculpt with the visor that looked like a barbed wire tattoo.
Suitably edgy.
I'm the only weirdo in the entire world that loves the ROTF scout class dead end but yeah the CW one is still REALLY good to me too
@@ilikepigeons6101 Like that mold too. I have Slapdash.
It was definitely a cool look, though it's a little too agro for the character.
What's wrong with soundwave having other visor colours? I can easily see him with a purple visor or some other visor colour like red or yellow.
you might say it landed on a dead end this is a good joke by the way.
Haaaa! Puns.
Merry Christmas btw,
and you better get transmetal II megatron. wow its fun.. not perfect but oh yea bro
I doubt I will but thank you. Merry Christmas to you as well.
@@PerspectiveEnd ah well, its pretty sick and I don't really even like beast wars that much
I'm sorry to hear you didn't care for it more.
@@PerspectiveEnd ah its ok. I like the music and animation im just not the biggest fan of the fleshy modes much
Poor Dead End. Maybe when I eventually get the Stunticons, mine will be better.
I mean it may be better on the QC but I don't see it being better on the posing.
"Let's face it; current year Hasbro is shit... (except, I do like that they made me look like a chad)." - Dead End, circa 2022
I mean the first two waves were really good.
Finally. Painted windows.
And it's on a figure that still wound up being bad.
Do a what’s the best between the legacy and combiner wars menasors
I don't exactly have a CW Menasor, I've got the component parts of one across a couple different teams. Like I don't have a Motor Master, I have an Optimus Prime.
Feel bad for asking because it's not related to the video but do you plan on reviewing legacy inferno and transmetal 2 megatron? Thanks for the review perspectiveend, great as always!
Yes, of course. It's just that they are very hard to come bye... Also I mean I'm reviewing these things as fast as I can, there's only so much time in the day and all that.
@@PerspectiveEnd yeah I get that, don't overwork yourself.
Eveyone saying the new combiners are going to be a big guy wearing vehicles but I don’t think so. Menasor is like that because that’s what he is. The rest will most likely be normal.
I assume the rest will be normal yes.
Hasbro denying us the wall of guns concept cuz they're afraid it can surpass their upcoming Metal Gear Menasor. DAMN YOU CIPHE- I mean HASBRO!!
Well now it's easy to surpass that, because they've kneecapped it so much.
Somehow they managed to make a combiner where there's only TWO or three good members out of the five
How are there 3 good members out of 6? I'm counting 2 of 5 right now.
@@PerspectiveEnd I'm praying for breakdown to save the team
@@Spideysuperiorfoe That doesn’t explain why you say six.
Ah god still got the PTSD from combiner wars
