Now that's pretty impressive. Not much info published like this on the WH. Excellent video and yes the turbo lag can be very frustrating. Good looking truck
Sadly I listed my beloved Grand for sale via EBay. A 1 owner now with only 81K miles and fully customized with all the goodies and then some. An awesome rig with the rare Mercedes Diesel engine. In top shape it will make someone a ton of fun and pride of ownership.
the WK looks like a limited , has limited slip, and chrome accents...keep it man...mine is almost done, and will be back up and running nice..waiting for the wheel hubs TODAY and it will be my favorite time ....time to drive... I need new tires front skid plate and bumper and winch. new front diff a little bit ago, new transfer case last week, new front axles, wheel bearing lower control arms jab upper control arms and a 4 inch lift, tie rod ends, valve cover gasket plugs, and painted underside. all in the past three weeks. they are easy to work on if they are not rusted bolts and parts..
Bought some 4xG parts from around 2006 including Superlift 4". Very thought out parts indeed. Surprised to see that You still had the Jeep from 2008 in 2016 Kudos.
The is still running strong. I now have about 75K miles. My only complaint is the same as it was initially. That is the turbo lag makes bumping up ledges nearly impossible. You simply have to give it more fuel and more momentum than is sometimes prudent. But otherwise very nice combination.
3.0 CRD? Very nice jeep. Are the specs somewhere? Would love to see a walk-around and more detail on everything on it (besides the summary at the beginning). IE - who's bumper/brush guard? Hidden winch? Thanks!
Any issues with CVs and driveshaft angles, etc? I was looking to keep to about a 2” lift to avoid those things...unless not that difficult to circumvent. Thanks for the great video!
When I pulled a camping trailer I did have issues with the front driveshaft failing, but no issues after I quit doing that. As you know the diesel has a shorter driveshaft and the angle got too steep when driven with weight on the rear during towing. No problems with the rear driveshaft, however. Thanks for looking.
Nice ! Would love to know the lift tire size ? Hard to get parts in Australia so getting the right parts would be helpful ! Great looking rig that works Mate !
Thanks. Credits show must of those details. Front is Superlift 4 inch with JBA coilovers. Rear is BDS 4 inch (BDS vs Superlift gives more clearance because the control arms are curved vs OEM straight with lowering bracket.
Excellent performance. One of the best Grand Cherokee I’ve seen. Very good video and well done.
Sweet rig and one hell of a fun trip. Hope I am still wheeling at 70 and doing it in style.

Hello. Thanks for sharing your adventure. I’m getting my used grand Cherokee on Sunday. I look forward to the adventures.

What size lift did you have on this?
Yes a CRD, available 2007-2008. The front is by 4xGuard. A walkaround is a good idea and I will do one soon. Thanks for looking.
We have an 09 3ltr Diesel in Oz....hard pressed to sell a Petrol (gas) version unless its an SRT ..(njohn)
Please please bring back skids and springs..please. an entire market has been desperate for you to come back 😔
What a beauty setup! Thanks for sharing!
Great video and great van Morrison song.
Very impressive rig and driving!
Great job keeping your rig in one piece and your passengers safe, but DAMN, it must have taken you a full week to get through the trail!
Nice video , very nice jeep , congratulation.,
Wow impressive making it all the way though with IFS and very little damage. Love your WK

Thanks for looking. I still have the 2008 but getting really to move on and selling it.
@@4xguard Overall how did you like the CRD? The power and mpg are appealing and it seems they are pretty reliable from what I’ve read

Nice video I also have WK with superlift, would love a video of yours with detailed walk around, any chance of that.

My 05 limited has a 2" lift and 33s. It's still a pleasure to drive on the street. How is the ride quality with the super lift?

You wouldn't be the same 4xGuard that makes the 4xGuard rock sliders?
What brush bar do you have on your jeep
It is the Matrix by 4xGuard.

Whats the CV axels?
CV= Constant velocity axle en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Constant-velocity_joint
QD2 🤗
Running the stock QDII setup?
Yes--no change in that regard
Did you have to do a fender mod in the rear to keep the tires from rubbing when "flexing" at all?
Yes. The inside lip was either trimmed or was bent up. Due to track bar orientation this is especially important on the ps.
Thanks for looking

Ok, so it's not just me having that issue. Thanks for the response. Love your WK.

No rear fender mods but did have to bend the lip inward to reduce tire cutting as I experienced some rubbing
nice video minus song
It is shame that the company was sold and they no longer sell/make all the great off road stuff available in this video. Very disappointing....
next time no music. please.....!!!!!!
Very bad video would like to see it but too much or focus try again
