05 Jeep Grand Cherokee wk limited Hemi quadra-drive 2 playing on the Barracks trail in southern Utah. also got to winch out a couple fellow off roaders! great fun!
What's funny to me is people with wranglers go with bigger tires almost immediately, and end up in the same kind of trails as people using their take offs 😄
i have an ’07 JGC, 3.0l diesel and Quadra-drive2, I have two inch HD OME lift, six monkeys tire carrier, JBA offroad upper control arm, JCR rock sliders, rubicon rims and ProComp AT/Sport tires (I have on all my vehicles), Tom Woods Driveshafts, and soon - RCV performance axels. i have 180,000 miles and am getting ready to drive to Nevada, from Maryland, and do as many trails and mountain/desert runs i can do. Also death valley and Mojave desert. Then going to sister’s house in Phoenix and do it all over again. If you take care of the WK it will take care of you… UPDATE: 212,000 miles, had oil cooler replaced, ready for another 200,000 miles! just need a new front/rear steel/aluminum bumper with more approach angle clearance and try 285’s...
@@GOTDAMITOFFROAD You will. You have a lot of views for it being up a short time. I'm trying to get my girlfriend more excited about shooting vids. Your wife got some nice shots! Keep making these.
Its probably closer to 3 to 3.5, it's running OME HD lift that I modified a little with spacers to fit 285/70r17 "33's". I also did the pinch weld mod and had to run 1.25 inch wheel spacers to clear the upper ball joint stud. Oh yeah I got Pro upper control arms from Rocky Road Outfitters.

I have ome hd springs with adjustable bilsteins in front and a block in the rear. I figure its close to 4" lift in front with strut ring in lowest position. I run 255/75/17 (little over 32 tall) on factory offset wheels with rro upper control arms. I have barely any clearance (just enough though) on upper ball joint nut and rubs lower control arm slightly on full lock turn. I could do 255/80 on this setup and wish i did sometimes. A little more wheel offeset, prob around +20, would allow good clearance i bet up to most 33's and not have the horrible outside the fender 'stance' bruh. Fender mods could get you bigger i suppose. I have yet to see how my cvs hold up. I hope not to install diff drops.
@@GOTDAMITOFFROAD Thanks for the info on lift... So, very interesting that i took my Jeep to Les Schwab to get either 3 inch old man emu or Rough Country lift kit installed on my 2009 Jeep Grand Cherokee, and they refuse to do it. They explained, they will work all day long on Wranglers and 4Runners all type of lift heights but not on Grand Cherokee due to safety issues and the way the chassis and the body design. But the same time they didn't have an issue installing 2in spacers inside coil springs... but that's not a real lift. Do you have any comments on that and where should I take my Grand Cherokee. I really would love to put that 3in Rough Country lift on mine. Thanks
It is the factory outer plastic bumper. I ordered a Pro hidden winch kit from Rocky Road Outfitters. You pull the plastic bumper cover off, cut out the front crossmember then the winch plate bolts right in its place. Then you just have to cut a hole in the bumper cover for the fairlead and reinstall.
I don't know lol. that was actually a road that dropped down into that wash, but definitely not for 2wd nissans! It was a couple of young Native American kids that really didn't know what they were doing. What disturbed me more was that before I came along they had been stuck for a while and trying to dig themselves out, and the dudes in that blue overlander style Toyota "in the background" just sat in their camp chairs and watched Instead of trying to help them!
