This actually works. I was dropping a load today and I was blindside backing and when I was struggling doing it from the 45, I thought back to this video and I went back to the fundamental, straight line backing and pulling up until I was in the box. It was like magic. Thank you for making this video. I'm going to continue practicing this until I perfect it.
I’m over in the UK in a right hand drive but obviously the same principle. I particularly like the straight blindback. So ingenious but simple. Your Irish I take it.
Indeed I am Irish. I should make a UK version, I'll just reverse the image lol. Shame I don't have a proper CabOver like you guys though. Not a lot of bonnets in the UK.
How is the best way to judge the length of the trailer without markers on the wheel guards if that makes sense. Wish you was over here training want to be drivers. I would be the first to join.
As ever... Your videos are priceless.. The entire HGV course in the UK should be based on your videos of maneuvering an HGV. They are quite simple brilliant. Many thanks.
May delivery. 360 w. Victoria st, compton, ca. There is an added dumpster not on Google maps that prevents setting up for blindside. Had to back up into street, turn around and back in from road at the right angle through a car lot to miss the black gate on left and right when i got under it. Hardest back i have had to date
Today I had it lined up great but truck was positioned at about 10 degrees or 10:00 o'clock. All i needed to do was push into the hole and i didn't know how to position the steering wheel to get fully on top of the trailer to complete strait back
Not sure if you'll see this in time but I have my CDL road test on Friday January 25. I have to do a 90 degree. I seem ok right until the step after chasing the trailer. It im off and have to reposition the truck and trailer i get all messed up. I really need and want to pass. Any way you can offer advice?
I don't know if this is helpful to anybody watching the video, but pay attention to what the truck is doing when the truck is doing it (without looking at the steering wheel) because the timing of the truck and of the steering wheel needs to be in synch, and isn't. I hope this helps a little.
I blind back daily running deliveries to the store that I do what I typically do is adjust my passenger side mirror in or out whatever I need and I keep an eye on my convex Hood mirror because that tells me where my trailer is pretty much at all times between those two you can't go wrong I have successfully blind back into every store I've had to deliver to this far with no damages to anything or anyone. I daresay I've actually gotten better at Blind Side backing then I have at sight side backing.
This is the worse way of doing it. Just stop by the spot you wanna get into. Pull up one space over turn left and be perpendicular to the spot and do a straight line backing into your spot. You can do it in one shot. You just need enough space.

this video gives us "permission" to take our time and be careful when blind side backing...thanks you for all your videos.
YES! do this if you're not sure, or tired or its dark and you need to blind side. Don't let anyone try and tell you to "Hurry up".
You reversing skill are the best I’ve seen. Will take all this knowledge with me on my tuition in two weeks time. Very helpful. 👍
Nice, and if anyone else is your class is struggling, send them to my channel, couldn't hurt!!

Haha “don’t try to get it in one shot” but you totally do 👍👍👍
Thinking of going for my CDL. You videos are Awesome, they are helping me to gain the confidence that I can do it, because you are teaching technique!
As ever... Your videos are priceless..

Many thanks.
My game will soon be converted in to UK and EU trucks BTW. They are quite different than here in America. They turn much quicker.
@@MyTruckingSkills can't wait. Even so, the basic principles are such a help!
Just what I’m looking for. I struggle pulling forward to adjust my trailer. Very helpful
All hail the pull-up. Thank you sir
Great video definitely gives you a different perspective on how to adjust without blind backing and just adjusting on pull forwards 👍🏾
Exactly, glad you're able to comprehend
WEll now I can honestly say I have a much better understanding of pulling forward thanks to you !!
Very helpful. I avoid blind backing but might have to learn with my new job. Thank You
Your videos are the best I've seen for helping me get this
Just keep watching, watch what the steering wheel is doing and what happened the trailer.

Great video!
Also when I did my blindside back, it was between two trailers as well.
Hope I don't have to do this. It's harder than what you make it looks. This helps.

Have you seen my videos on the 90 degree backs?
@@MyTruckingSkills yes but at the top of the angle when you push it into the hole I choke
Ok thx

You had me worried there for a second but You are mistaken, I just watched the whole video and the steering wheel matches up perfectly.
Interesting. Not so ridiculous. Hmm. Because of the One-way in our yard, I have to blind-back daily.
Trucker Daddy thanks,it’s really helpful

most proficient I have seen yet
I just have to get it into the hole to pass. At this point I'm set to fail
Rob Burriss did you pass?
