Im noticing a lot of people not understanding that this is just a Physical fitness test. This test is to simply weed out those who will not be able to meet the basic physical standards of this career. The academy itself will teach cadets the standards in which the SAPD requires.
Boy that ksa test was no joke....250 question at 3 hours with 70% pass requirement ....i got the review and read it front and back...very different when its time and fast paced...3 hrs / 250 Q&A = 43.2 seconds per questions need spent... Who came up with limiting time with ksa test....wow🥴
Is this test done every year with current officers as well? to make sure they’re still fit and capable cause I’ve seem some questionable officers where I don’t if they would be able to jump let alone run
@@savannahjade2331 I finished it and passed with 30 second left,but jeez it was hard. I thought i was in decent shape, but definitely need to work harder.
@@christiangreen2070 Agreed. Just have to laugh at some of "tessssting" that is done though that is so not life-like. Climbing ropes, monkey bars, cargo rope, you know, shit like that. It's great for "training," but my thoughts are conflicted for "testing" of ability in a real-world situations.

No wonder there's so many out of shape officers. The test is easy by design. I'm pushing 50 and at my job we'll climb a 2000' broadcast tower and back down before lunch time. Now that's a PAT
My greatest piece of advice is instead of exercising the body because half the cops couldn't pass the physical test is to EXERCISE THE MIND SPEND MORE TIME LEARNING THE LAWS AND THE COSTITUTION THEY NEED MORE CLASSROOM TIME AND LESS PHSYCAL TIME

My mom works at the academy. That’s to get into the academy not what they actually do. My parents aren’t weak because they are part of the SAPD. My dad was shot in the line of duty. Don’t believe me? Search up Robert Bobby Deckard or just Bobby Deckard. That’s all have a good day.

It’s much harder then it looks, i definitely under estimated it. But I passed
I just completed this obstacle course for SA Park Police. Hopefully, I will be starting the academy soon.

no pun intended - but what's the purpose of the 7-inch ring when drawing your firearm? you won't be able to use the sights if that's the case.
It's to make sure you have a steady hand after your heart rate increases. I saw someone fail. It's not a shooting test.
They should do the test in a yearly basis that way you can ensure the officers are in shape and don’t look like a pile of crap 💩

How much is the starting pay and do you get paid while your in the academy? Just asking cause i don't wanna quit my full time job 😆
