I would say that this test is more easy than the one that I had in my country but the obstacles are more practical and realistics to the situations that you can get involved for this career
I'm 45 and would like to try this but I'll probably have a stroke and die. i used to be in the Army ages ago but haven't really exercised since. Wondering if civilians are allowed to go and practice 1st.
@@chasepotter2376 at the academy you do fight a red man during the final phase of defensive tactics but it’s not part of the POPAT. It’s called a chaos drill
If you can see this plz comment I’m 6’6 and I’m trying to be a cop soon I’m working on my body 1-2hrs at the gym 7 days a week and is it something to be nervous about? I’m trying to become a cop in Michigan not sure if they have the same training
If you really are working on your body 1-2 hours everyday, that's not good for you because your body needs recovery after training otherwise you will just be overtraining and doing more bad than good to your body
I'm sorry but the steps are so stupid. You can save time by jumping the last three. Now, I know why the cops never caught my mom while she was pregnant with me.
The 6ft wall has some assistants step to step on. Man I wish this was the case for the police departments here in Los Angeles.
3:34. That stair case looks VERY challenging
@black eyed-wolfy66 it's a joke 😑
one foot on each step is such a huge waste of time

Great presentation!! I like the way this course is set. It's definitely professional, and is a reflection of a good program.

2:17 on the Arizona POPAT test, the wall does not have boards to support your feet.
Do we get to box/spar with somebody in the AZ POPAT test? Lol

Did Chief Wiggun pass this test?
These tests should be done yearly to keep officers in shape
Facts bro they’ll catch more suspect from those exercises.
To add on to this training you would thing they would need to add weight on them to make it feel like full gear while doing this.
how many pounds of resistance is the resistance pull
Is this up to date?

This kind of propaganda video is what attracts the wrong kind of people to this vocation. Good luck in finding new trainees!
