Their revolutions only perfected the mechanisms of the state. The spoils of their revolution were the state itself. Only the Paris Commune was a real revolution of the people.

Glad they removed controllable units but kept the best V2 feature constant random revolts that make the game intolerable

at the end you said that you didn't know how to avoid spiraling into debt and getting so many radicals. in my experience I think that having a standard of living of 13 by 1890s is the reason. you should transition by around 1860-70 (depending on how big and advanced the economy is at game start) from construction sector and its inputs towards standard of living. first by focusing on the lower class by making food, clothes and furniture cheap and then by tackling on luxury stuff. this raises their expected minimum wages but it makes them richer in a faster rate. by 1890s as France you should easily be able to maintain a 20 standard of living. plus, you'll have many loyalists and few radicals, so the interest groups will be more loyal and you'll have a bigger say in what laws to enact

@@SGT If you want railroads to be profitable have passenger cabins, trains they can be some of the most consistent buildings for profit.
In france you can make the armed forces the industrialists and the rural folk and the petite bourgeoisie bonapartist by clicking on the leader and then sway them to bonapartism. Makes the whole process faster of going bonapartist faster plus you get more legitimacy:). Also please keep the rails subsidized. If you don't the infrastructure goes fucked and every building has to pay extra which indirectly lowers your income. If you want more money then make coal and engines cheaper or increase the demand or transportation. If you are protectionist then you can nationalize rail which gives all dividends to you instead of the capitalists:)

If you want to pass laws that people don't like secret police and censorship/outlawed discent are really good. It allows you to suppress those you don't like into the ground. Also lazze fare is very very good for growing your early economy.

Man, probably what makes you go almost bankrupt towards the end of the game is changing the production methods before having the materials to sustain the change I had a very similar outcome when I had a game where I was changing production methods before I should, btw very good content.

A lot of the colors changed to blue for some reason don't know why they decided to do it

@@history7501 They have plans to release an aesthetic-focused DLC (The "Dawn of Wonder" Art Pack) that allows you to switch between the themes and colours of the UI and map via a theme selector, depending on if you have the supported DLC for that theme or not. I find it a really cool way to give each DLC its own flavour and let people customize the look of the game to their liking!

Its an improvement but still not a massive fan of the lack of historicity. Oh well its going in the right direction. Maybe after 10 DLCs it'll have the same flavour that Vic2 has.
