I swear my mom got me a cassette tape for 3 episodes of Gumby This one in particular was included but for some strange reason the episode opened up with Gumby already in the magic land and the episode ended when Gumby crossed the bridge fading out
Why did my VHS of this as a kid only have like half the episode? Glad I found out how it ended! And on that note, kids don't go into a stranger's house...just leave whatever you're returning to him in the mailbox with a note demanding payment for your mom's broken punchbowl.
When the series went into syndication in the 60's the longer episodes from the 50's were edited into smaller episodes and were shown in that format for years until they were restored back to their original format

Am I the only one who thinks the scene where he meets Professor Hocus Pocus is supposed to be in-between the color-changing ground and bridge scenes?
That would make sense, the way Gumby asks "But how am I going to get back home?" at the end.

Not only did I enjoy this because I watched Gumby a lot when I was four, this episode was rather psychedelic, which gave it an extra treat for me.
