    I wonder if you know what it looks like, in your “Minds Eye” or if it constantly being created as you go? I know for me that certain designs are as time consuming to put down on paper as is the carving inTo the wood. I really like your hand tools, very purposeful and you could probably make your own similar ones. Great art! Thanks

    Hi Omer, must take an incredible amount of patience? Why don't you use blocks to stop the piece your on from moving, because it would be easy for you to make a mistake? Beautiful job! Cheers Sean

      Thank you Sean, patience is needed for this, of course, but most of the time I just enjoy the work. Time flies by when I carve :) You're right about the blocks, but I almost never use them. After years of practice your hands get used to all the little movements and you can work much faster. Cheers!

    great work, minor problem the positioning of the camera (should be on your right side so we can see the actual carving)

    • @omerkadric4671
      @omerkadric4671  6 років тому +1

      Thanks! The punches and chisels are all hand made (modified screwdrivers and other tools). Angle grinders, round files and a bit of experience.

    some of the tools look like leather craft tools. Are they?

    • @omerkadric4671
      @omerkadric4671  7 років тому

      Might be similar to those, but the tools I use are made specifically for this type of carving - it's called "Bosnian Pattern" (or in bosnian - "Bosanska šara"). Usually made from scrap screwdrivers and other tools - works well for me. Cheers!
