    I wonder if you know what it looks like, in your “Minds Eye” or if it constantly being created as you go? I know for me that certain designs are as time consuming to put down on paper as is the carving inTo the wood. I really like your hand tools, very purposeful and you could probably make your own similar ones. Great art! Thanks

    lo único que haces es marcar la tabla un trabajo muy repetitivo, mécanico y poco artistico, no le has rebajado ni un milimetro a la tabla O O ...¿ no sabes o te da miedo?

      Thanks, sorry for late reply. I had the last part recorded but it wasn't usable footage really. All of this was recorded my mobile phone, it was a pain to do. Every time the phone overheats (I tried to use best possible quality), all the footage would be destroyed - that would mean 20-30 minutes of work I had to do again on some other piece and record it. Also I was just not satisfied with the quality itself, so I've been saving some time for a decent dslr and planning to make something much better. You can see some of the work here: facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10207135770535370.1073741830.1315224681&type=1&l=d1396d924b

    Hi Omer, must take an incredible amount of patience? Why don't you use blocks to stop the piece your on from moving, because it would be easy for you to make a mistake? Beautiful job! Cheers Sean

    • @omerkadric4671
      @omerkadric4671 7 років тому

      Thank you Sean, patience is needed for this, of course, but most of the time I just enjoy the work. Time flies by when I carve :) You're right about the blocks, but I almost never use them. After years of practice your hands get used to all the little movements and you can work much faster. Cheers!

    some of the tools look like leather craft tools. Are they?

    • @omerkadric4671
      @omerkadric4671 7 років тому

      Might be similar to those, but the tools I use are made specifically for this type of carving - it's called "Bosnian Pattern" (or in bosnian - "Bosanska šara"). Usually made from scrap screwdrivers and other tools - works well for me. Cheers!

      DS1 Hi! Thanks for watching! I do want to make a lot of new videos about carving and different techniques. This was more of a 'pilot' project to see if it was possible to make with current equipment. I recorded these with my phone, it's good enough and I'll keep making these in a month or so. I'll make them shorter, each episode for one type of wood piece. Cheers :)

  • @Spainlandia

    • @omerkadric4671
      @omerkadric4671 7 років тому

      Spainlandia Hi! To make something like this it takes 8-10 hours of work (not counting drying time for glue, paint and lacquer). Overall, 2-3 days.

    • @Spainlandia
      @Spainlandia 7 років тому

      Wow, I'm so impressed. I enjoyed watching this, and I hope you will do more videos in the future! I am considering learning chip carving, but of course I will start much smaller! :)

      Thanks :D I do want to make videos about every type of carving that I do, and I already have some footage. Hopefully I'll find the time to edit it and upload soon. Good luck with it, it is not hard at all. Be patient, work slowly and safely. Cheers!
