Perhaps, since it's Super Mario Bros.' 40th anniversary, and the Switch is still active, maybe they could re-release Super Mario 3D All-Stars. And while they're at it, I know a lot of people want Super Mario Galaxy 2 on Switch, there's probably some who want Super Mario 3D Land as well, and with the Super Mario Advance games on Switch Online, I think Super Mario 64 DS is a possibility. My thought, bundle all three of those games to make either Super Mario 3D All-Stars 2, or a DLC expansion for 3D All-Stars.

Played Galaxy 2 for the first time in 2024 (via dolphin). Good game. Was really satisfying beating The Perfect Run. Deserves a Switch 2 port. Hoping will be a Switch 2 launch title along side the new 3d Mario game.

@Austinator0630 Well, I guess there is a possiblility for Nintendo to find a new developer for Yoshi, like with Mario and Luigi, but I guess that may not happen anytime soon. As for Donkey Kong, Nintendo has had some more focus on him lately by including him in the movie, plus their newest addition of Donkey Kong to their theme park, and of course the DK remake, (which isn't the best example). If there's some info I'm missing, please let me know :)

Donkey Kong on the other hand had the 3D game that was in the works by Vicarious Visions, but Activision canned the project.

As I watch this video I’m am beating endless courses in Maker 2. Most replay value ever. I would love to see them do a Maker 3D alongside a massive DLC for Maker 2 to refresh the interest in course building. Too much went into 2 to just make another 2D one. This one has all the classic Mario styles. I just want more enemies and Yoshi colours and advanced leaderboards and incentives for my Maker 2. 50,900 courses beat so far;)

Well its almost 8 years since the last 3D mario game I hope 2025 or 2026 a new 3D mario game comes out. And no Bowser's Fury doesn't count. Its just Mario 3d world and a spin off with Bowser Jr in an oddysey like open world.
Doesn't a Geno-focused action RPG even count? He deserves the same treatment as Snufkin, but with combat like in the main Kingdom Hearts games. Also, hopefully Geno makes it to the new Mario Kart and the Super Smash installments.
I just never see a 3D Mario Maker happening. 2D Mario Maker already has 90% of user created levels being hot-trash, giving little Timmy a 3rd dimension to work with (and most importantly: far less intuitive controls for building in a 3D environment) will result in the vast majority of levels being virtually unplayable eyesores. Even if they go down a creative mode Minecraft or Roblox UI route, I still see it being too difficult and clunky for your average player to create good levels.

I'm so excited for next year with Switch 2 and Mario's 40th Anniversary cause it would be cool to see a new 3D Mario, a new Mario Kart if it's Mario Kart 9 or X, a new Mario Sports game like Baseball or Basketball or remake both Mario Super Sluggers and Mario Sports Mix, a new Yoshi Game like 3D probably like Kirby and the Forgotten Land or something like that, a new Donkey Kong Game which hopefully we can see King K Rool and the Kremlins coming back to the Donkey Kong series since Returns and Tropical Freeze, a new Wario Land Game like Wario Land 5 or 6, a new Mario RPG game, a new Paper Mario Game, a new Mario and Sonic Game, a new Mario Dance Dance Revolution Game, a new Mario Pinball Game, Luigi's Mansion 4 and maybe they could add Princess Daisy in it, Super Mario Maker 3 and they could add Super Mario Bros Wonder in it, 11:58 Okay so we know that we're gonna get Lego Mario Kart and more Lego Mario sets for next year but if TT Games did do a Lego Mario Game then maybe they can make it like the other Lego games like Batman, Harry Potter, Indiana Jones, Star Wars, Marvel, and etc. Then maybe we could other Nintendo Characters like Link, Kirby, Donkey Kong, Pikachu, Star Fox, Samous, and etc. And I can't wait for The Super Mario Bros Movie 2 and we could see like Wario, Waluigi, Princess Daisy, Princess Rosalina, Birdo, Yoshi, The Koopalings, and Bowser Jr.
So yeah I can't wait for Mario's 40th Anniversary next year and if you're gonna talk about the other Nintendo Franchises then talk about the Kirby Franchise since we didn't get anything Kirby this year. Besides the rumor of Kirby Planet Robobot HD coming to Switch which I'm not gonna buy it unless they add Kirby Triple Deluxe with Kirby Planet Robobot so then we would have all the Modern Kirby Games in one console.

I'm always hoping for a slow game release year so I can catch up on games I want that's already released. I got two out of five I wanted, but added another game to the wish list. So far, there's only five games for pre-order. Two have a release date. And need to pay NSO in March.

@Austinator0630 Well, I guess there is a possiblility for Nintendo to find a new developer for Yoshi, like with Mario and Luigi, but I guess that may not happen anytime soon. As for Donkey Kong, Nintendo has had some more focus on him lately by including him in the movie, plus their newest addition of Donkey Kong to their theme park, and of course the DK remake, (which isn't the best example). If there's some info I'm missing, please let me know :)
@KTGamer-n8s There is no way Nintendo is going to find new developer for the Yoshi series, especially considering the period between the release of Yoshi's Story & Yoshi's Wooly World. Donkey Kong on the other hand had the 3D game that was in the works by Vicarious Visions, but Activision canned the project.
I'd like a Super Mario 3D Land + Galaxy 2 double pack if they don't do a mainline Mario next year for Mario's 40th Anniversary or even both but I doubt Nintendo would do that.

a smaller team was developing the DLC. That’s why the DLC was in waves so then the team could make new tracks as time went on and why the DLC tracks looked worse than the main game. Not every single dev is put into making the DLC.

As I watch this video I’m am beating endless courses in Maker 2. Most replay value ever. I would love to see them do a Maker 3D alongside a massive DLC for Maker 2 to refresh the interest in course building. Too much went into 2 to just make another 2D one. This one has all the classic Mario styles. I just want more enemies and Yoshi colours and advanced leaderboards and incentives for my Maker 2. 50,900 courses beat so far;)

I just never see a 3D Mario Maker happening. 2D Mario Maker already has 90% of user created levels being hot-trash, giving little Timmy a 3rd dimension to work with (and most importantly: far less intuitive controls for building in a 3D environment) will result in the vast majority of levels being virtually unplayable eyesores.
Even if they go down a creative mode Minecraft or Roblox UI route, I still see it being too difficult and clunky for your average player to create good levels.
