Thanks For the Tip man \m/, I did mine a little differently. I used an an instrument track first. Used a bass guitar insert from presence VST. Then bounce that piano roll note to a new audio track. Then did your same steps on the bounced bass note. Add the active, level and shift parameters from the tone generator and volume on the automation. The Active one made it slam on mine.
Every time i drag the blue line down my volume goes down with it and nothing plays. what am i doing wrong???
You have to click on the line to make multiple points, then drag one of them up, you’ll see it doesn’t lift the whole line, then you can adjust from there.
Biohazard in the song punishment i believe uses bass drops. which was way before Korn

U can just hear a blip, but do you get the idea? you can change frequencies to match what level you’re going for.
