AWESOME VIDEO thank you am starting to make beats and the 808s are the only thing that give me any trouble.. its like i really cant hear the key when trying to play manually along with the melody..soo thank you soo much for giving this info away for free man im really grateful and thankful.
Very Slick! Starting to feel better about SO, it's got some bugs and some omissions, but it has lots of cool stuff too, that you are helping me discover :)
Marcus, thank you very much for intelligence in your videos! One comment to consider for future videos is to make your cursor about three times larger. For myself and others, I know this would be an improvement and much easier to follow. Thank you! Steven Bruce
Thanks for the Feedback Steven - I know there are ways to help "identify" the mouse cursor when editing these types of videos, like a radar click effect as well.. It's just that I always found them to be slightly distracting.. Is there anything in specific that you find hard to follow? ie: Am I going to fast? Or is it just the mouse cursor being hard to see? Cheers, M
Great voice & fantastic tutorials. Subscribed instantly. This may sound nitpicky but on so many other tutorials out there the 'voice' delivering it really makes a difference for me. When you listen to as much audio as I [we] do and these types of tutorials, things like mouth noises, pops etc. this can [is] EXTREMELY DISTRACTING & ANNOYING! BUT!!!! YOU, sir have nailed it and your professionalism shines through and I thank you very much... 😉 💜 🍀 🎶
Great video but when my 808 changed notes it only played my original note and none of the others it added?!?! Are you using a single file or a scale or 808s? Not sure why I can't get this. Please and thanks for the help
Great video but what I can't understand the sound he is using for the 808, minute 4:38 is he using sample one as a plugging? Or is the sound created by the sample one?cause I tried the same and only allowed me to play like 0.3 seconds so it doesn't make sense Like in the minute 8:32. Thanks
In terms of doing a pitch bend on straight audio events - no there isn't... But you could bring it into Sample One XT, and do it there.. I do hope that they add a native plugin that will do this type of thing though..
Thank you for the reply. I will try that. Great videos by the view. If I need to lnow how to do something in Studio One I just your site first. Thank you, Mike
I GOT IT. IF YOU DON'T FREEZE PITCH, THE NOTES GO BACK TO THE ORIGINAL DRUM PATTERN ORDER AND NOTES. Excuse the ALL CAPS just realized it, did not want to type over.
If I'm understanding the question correctly - As far as I know the minute you set a track to "Follow Chords" in some way - the "scale mode" in the music editor gets "greyed out" My guess is that this has something to do with the way the Chord Track works... Is that what you were referring to? Cheers, M
@@rynoinc Ahhhh - I gotcha... Please leave that with me for a bit, and I'll look into it.. To be honest, I have never tried using the chord track in a "live performance" type of way, and also I know there are some Note FX plug-ins which may help in that area.. I'll get back to you on this one.. :) Cheers, M
Oh man! I just got Studio One a couple of days ago after doing the research and this DAW just keeps impressing me more and more. Freaking awesome! 💯👍🏼
It's like the new school Pro Tools
Got to give you a thumbs up for your videos. Really clear, concise, detailed and easy to follow. Keep them coming.
I did not know about freeze pitch.
Lovely work as usual.
if you don't freeze the pitch, the notes will go back to the original pattern once you turn off (follow chord track)
Yeah between that and the inverse selection, I learned some useful tips
EXCELLENT as always😎👌
Wow ! This is awesome! Thank you!
Thanks Marcus...great info and delivery style. Nice to hear props for the Zebra

Do you have to ensure that your 808 is tuned before you follow the chord? Say your 808 that you loaded is not in the key of “C”.
Hey everyone! I think you should do one video step by step select by select on this so I can follow you. Thanks!

HI Marcus...... how do one tap tempo via midi controller in SO4.1 update
Let me look into that for you.. I dont usually use Tap Tempo - but I "think" it can be done now..

Is it possible to scale lock on input ? Similar to maschine and cubase?
good question
